I hate leaving bad reviews but this is the second time I've visited this store and when I'm ready to check out there is always one lady checking people out while the other associates tell us in line "someone will be right with you" - ummmm - why can't they work the second register??? There were two other people in front of me so 15 minutes later I laid my things down and left - not a word on my way out the door - unfortunate as I'm afraid with this service the won't stay in business - I took my business to their sister company whbm who actually can work their registers. Manager Jane ? (Older woman with bushy spiked hair) is very rude. She had an attitude with new associate in front of me who was having trouble looking up my account. And she would not step in to finish checking me out! Update: Manager Jane no longer wears her bushy spiked hairdo! Maybe she is reading reviews! But her demeanor has not changed! I noticed that when I was in the store recently, someone in line ahead of me walked up to have Jane ring up her purchases; Jane never greeted the customer; she just walked away and pulled another employee to ring up the customer. The service is always great at most Chico's stores. Good selection and if they do not have will order and it ships free to you. I wear petite allot and they usually don't have much. I always get most of my clothes on sale. So watch for their ads and sign up to get emails, 5% always off your purchase. I have some of their clothes for 15 years. Miss some of the styles they used to have. Most everything is reasonably priced. read more

I love Chicos clothes! The service in this store in the past was great, especially with the manager, Jenny; however, that is NOT the case now! One of the new managers, with spikey hair, always seems to be in a bad mood. She just appears to want to rush to ring me up, and get on with organizing the store or something else, even when there is nobody else in line. There is another tall, very well-dressed lady, who works on the floor, and sometimes rings people up, but she never smiles and seems annoyed, if I ask questions or for help. A couple of days ago, one of the employees was helping me find some items, and in the middle of helping, she was pulled away by another employee, who was at the end of her shift. The employee left and the lady who had been helping me began helping this other customer. She helped the customer, and then stood there chatting with the customer's family, while the customer was in the dressing room, and completely forgot about me! I had to go over to her, and ask her to continue to help me find some items! So frustrating! I am ONLY shopping online from now on; I will only go into the store, if I have to do a return! read more

Chico's is GREAT and I'm a frequent shopper! BUT in store service is SERIOUSLY unfriendly and unhelpful as other Yelpers have noted. Because of this , I usually order my Chico's choices on line or directly through Chico's Customer Service, where I've ALWAYS had friendly and accommodating service. BUT last week I had an upcoming event and had to buy a special dress off the rack quickly...so I actually went into the Chico's boutique. Chicos doesn't have a very nice customer service in any of there stores that I've been in. I'm not going again. They have beautiful clothing, but ugly Customer service. What's the problem? Recently I called the Roseville,CA store to see if plus size clothing was available there, or "only" online, the person that answered the phone was rude, gave me a firm "No" and hung up on me. I'm a super curvy size 14. I saw some things that I was interested in getting, hoping that they'd carry my size in the store. To my surprise, my size and above is on line "only". Horrible customer service. The lady at the counter was full of attitude, looks like she just wants to get over with her shift. No greeting, no questions, started charging with a straight face and bagged and shoved it in front of me. No smile at all. The rest of the ladies on the floor helping were friendly. Great service today from Marshall! I received a sweater that I had purchased online and was hoping that the store carried it in a smaller size. I did not want to wait for my online purchase to be replaced. Marshall took my call, ran down the sweater in their inventory, and set it aside behind the cash register with my name on it. So the transaction was completed very quickly when I presented the first one for credit. Of course I shopped the racks while I was there. Two of the sales ladies were helpful and not overwhelming. Horrible service. My mother who is in last stages of cancer tried to return a shirt that didn't fit or cover her scars and she had the receipt and tags. The tag was removed and the manager was absolutely awful. He was rude, standoffish and talked to her like she was a child. Not a great way to treat someone who has been a loyal customer for decades. i usually have good results at this Chicos at the Galleria in Roseville...But today was not that. I received a sweater for Christmas which was too small for me..I had the gift receipt as well as none of the tags were removed. I went into the store today as I have been following the stay at home order due to the Coronavirus and had not been out. I wanted to get another item that would fit. The manager refused to give me store credit as it appeared to have been over the 90 day time that my friend purchased the sweater. I told her that today was the first day I had been out because of the stay at home order. I wanted a store credit. She refused to give me one, so I told her to keep the sweater and that I was not happy... I would not recommend this store.. read more

I visited Chicos at the Fountains in Roseville in November and had a disappointing visit. No one greeted me and not one of the 4 ladies present asked if I needed any help. I purchased a pair of slacks, but really could have used help with a matching blouse. I told the Manager about lack of customer service, and Heather apologized profusely. Returned to the store on 12/17/21 and basically received the same treatment. I wanted to give it a chance, so I even followed one of the sales associates around to no avail. Nothing!! I ask the manager again what seemed to be the problem. I assured her that Yes, people of color have money too. She apologized again, and could not give me a reason I continue to get this kind of attitude when I shop here. People of color stay away from here. Spend your money elsewhere! read more

I always tell myself - don't go back. But...I had received and outfit for my birthday and needed to return or exchange one item. The Fountains is convenient for me so in spite of previous encounters I went into the store. Not a welcome or acknowledgement to be had. I approached the back counter where a woman had her back to me. I waited and finally got her attention. She seemed quite put out with the interruption. I asked my question and received a pretty snippy reply. At that point, I left the store. I WILL NOT go back!! I have never experienced this attitude at other Chico locations. The staff at the Outlets are wonderful! Someone at Chico's in the Fountains needs to get the house in order. read more

I am sorry that all the reviews are so dismal for this Chicos outlet, but my experience has been just the opposite. I am 57 years old and like to look professional each day at work. All I have to do is call Marshall up on the phone or walk into the store and ask him for help and he fills a dressing room full of darling styles for me to try on. I love the sizing system and I love the mix-and-match way that their clothes work together. I especially enjoy wearing travelers clothes , because they do not wrinkle at all. I will be a customer of particular Chico's boutique for a long long time to come. Just ask for Marshall and prepare to be well cared for. read more

I have been to other Chicos that are pretty stylish.(ok) this particualar store caters to a very older crowd. Even so, not good selection for them either. I recieved a gift certificate for Christmas(which was very nice thought). I went in to take a look and I just could not find anything, except a scarf ,which i do love. It was the price of the certificate. some of the jewelery was nice as well. Everything seems to be made is China. (i checked some labels as i usually do) Something is happening here..One of the sales ladies (?) gave me a suspicious look,. not a friendly one to be sure. I had just walked my doggies and did not look my best, but eh, I know the LOOK when I see one. How retro is that. Chicos used to be my go to place. Walked in door and greeted by a salesperson eager to help me put together an outfit or a whole vacation wardrobe. I shop Fountains and Palladio. No more. Wondering if salespeople used to be on commission and no longer are. Service is horrible. Last three times had to hunt for help. Then today, after helping myself, waited in line while clerks fumbled with computers. Realizing as third in line I would be there for a long time, I just gave up and left. Done with Chicos. Back to Nordstrom where you can still get help. Sad Chicos has gone the way of so many other Big Box stores. Adios. read more

The other evening I purchased $371 worth of merchandise and was the first customer after their new signature pad was installed. The system was not working so the clerk swiped my debit/credit card 5 times trying to get it to work. Long story short an additional $1500 was removed from my checking account and I am still trying to get this issue resolved so I can pay my bills and feed my family! So far all I have received is a sympathetic and sincere apology from the store manager but to be honest with you that is not good enough. I would have hoped that their customer service would work with my credit union to make sure these charges were resolved by the end of the business day. Instead they said that since it was 4 pm their time and since they close at 5 pm it might have to wait another business day. If you decide to shop here or at any Chico's do not use your debit card (lesson learned) and do not expect any level of customer service beyond an apology. You would think that when I told the manager I was going to be bringing my purchases back she would have attempted to retain a long time customer and offer some type of future discount or something for the time and frustration that THEIR error from the get go. read more

This review is not about a specific Chico's boutique. I am a long time loyal Chico's devotee who loves the brand and the concept of marketing to women who can identify with great fashion regardless of age! I am addressing what I believe to be a corporate business practice that has left me confused and angry. Recently I have noticed that merchandise that is placed on sale (online only) is being manipulated over and over again! For example a sweater that has been on sale for several weeks at a sale price of $19.99 has been changed to $69.99 the day before a sales promotion that begins the next day for 40% off all purchases. This practice is for sale (off season merchandise only)! This egregious practice that manipulates sale merchandise is done online only! Sale merchandise in Chico's boutiques are red-lined (their definition) and are never re-tagged at higher prices the day before a sale. To be clear I am not addressing sales promotions of full priced seasonal merchandise but only inventory that has been tagged sale and placed in a sale category separate from all other Chico's inventory! In this separate sales category (online only) are items chosen for sale from all categories of Chico's brand statements. In practice this is what is occurring. A sweater that was for sale in their sale only category with no TIME constraint placed on it for the consumer to be made aware of was on sale on Friday, August 12, 2017 for $19.99 and on Saturday, August 13, 2017 the very sweater was increased to $69.99 just two days before a 40% sale off all sales was to commence! I called several Chico's boutiques and found one that had the EXACT sweater and purchased it for the $19.99 less my 5% passport discount! The obvious discrepancies in this practice are very confusing to customers and one must arrive at the conclusion that Chico's is manipulating it's online clientel! read more
