So glad that I came across this place! First off trie their bowls! The beef was amazing and so juicy and full of flavor, the rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly. My husband has the potato and egg breakfast burrito, the eggs were fluffy and buttery. The tortilla was so soft and chewy yet cooked to perfection. The cheese fries were so cheesey and the fries were so good. Lastly but certainly not least the Cantelope drink was my absolute favorite so sweet and creamy! Just tried this new restaurant for the first time. The service was great, friendly and fast. The pricing is great. We got a good amount of food for under $20, that's hard to find nowadays. They even made custom machaca taco for us that wasn't on the menu. We are mexican food snobs! We eat a lot of Mexican food, cook a lot of Mexican food and we know quality food. This place passed the test. The salsa was flavorful (careful the habenaro is hot!) The enchilada red sauce was different, good but different. The beans are made from scratch, not out of a can! The beans are delicious. My favorite was the potato tacos. Crispy shell, creamy potatoes with crispy edges. The jalapeno sauce was delightful on the tacos. This is not high-end fancy Mexican food, this is family owned mom/pop shop that is doing it right. Also a bonus is they are open later than most places around. We will be back! read more

Had a Carnitas Burr The girl brought it over with 2 bottles of Salas, one green on red. Slammed the bottles down onto the table the red Salas came out and went on my WHITE pants and BLUE shirt. We went to Chikiliquis as some where new to go and try. We went in taco Tuesday they offer street tacos $1.99 so we got quite a few. So good the tortillas were scratch thicker corn tortillas delicious!! And hearty!! We love Chile verde so we thought what the heck so we tried that also. So tender and juicy. Very casual, lots of take out orders. The food was so good we went for breakfast on the Saturday I got a chorizo and potato egg burrito and my husband got Chile rellenos. And we went again. On Sunday at dinner time. All I can say is try it and you'll be coming back for more. read more

We were staying the area and craving cane asada fries and found it on Yelp. We liked it so much we went twice during our stay. Super reasonable prices also. Between both orders we had Al pastor taco, potato taco, carne asada taco, and carne asada fries. Lots of different salsas to try. Fries were hot and crispy and the tortillas for the tacos were homemade. The texture of them was super delicious and they added beans to the taco which made them more savory. The potato taco was laying on its side with all the creme, cheese, lettuce laying on it so it was a bit hard to eat but still delicious. Ice cold apple sodas and cokes were great to beat the heat while we waited for our food. Definitely would eat at again if we passed through. read more

The albondigas are my favorite! The small tacos/street tacos are the best the corn tortillas are homemade. I had 3 asada with everything plus lime and the jalapeño salsa and I must say they were bomb! These are my recommendation for now. Can't wait to try more of the menu. read more

This is the delicious Mexican food I grew up getting in restaurants. Taste is amazing. Seriously, I don't know what magic was used in the making of the food, but by all means continue. The shredded beef is good quality - haven't encountered any gristle or big pieces of fat, which I find all too often at some dodgier Mexican food places (oh how you have fallen Fili B's). Other meat options I've chosen (shrimp, chicken) have been similarly great. Rice and beans were exactly what I wanted them to be, especially those refried beans. Portions sizes are great. A combination plate will likely fill you up and then some. Prices were very reasonable. They aren't pretending to be more than they are. Is this Mexican food like you'd get in Mexico City? Probably not. Is this the Mexican food takeout spot you always wanted around the corner? Absolutely. Try it! read more

We have been here 3 times. The breakfast burritos are decent if you don't have any expectations. All 3 times I ordered mine without potatoes and my husband orders his with them. All 3 times I was given extra potatoes and my husband didn't get any. And because I get bacon and he gets chorizo this really shouldn't be confused. The tortillas and mixed salsa are really good! But it seems that the young boy with glasses either doesn't know what it is or won't give it to you. The best part was even being charged for extra potatoes. I finally found it! The BEST Mexican takeout in Gilbert/Mesa area. Do not pass this place up. We got a California burrito and a Chile relleno/shredded beef taco combination plate. I've been eating home cooked from scratch Mexican food nearly my whole life and this food matches that! Flavorful, made from scratch sauces, salsas, guacamole and pico de Gallo. The taco had an appropriate amount of meat, juicy and flavorful. The Chile relleno was . I got the red sauce and it was pretty spicy. They offer green and I will try that one next. The Chile and cheese were fresh and it was not overly battered. The carne asada was quality meat. Guacamole and pico were fresh! Beans and rice were flavorful. I'm so excited to try more on their menu. We ordered about 40 mine before closing and did not get "end of day scraps" like I've gotten from other places. The staff were very friendly when I went in, also not typical right before closing. I'll get pictures of the food next time. SO GOOD! read more

Show up at 930 pm when they are supposed to be open til 10 and it's a ghost-town. It was totally closed w no cars in the lot. I had my heart set on those enchiladas! Ugh! Owner came in where I work and told me about his place, 1st experience was great the food was delicious and fairly priced. Hand made tortillas for tacos with a layer of cheese and topped with beans. I ordered a $30 deal that comes with 10 tacos, a big burrito and a quesadilla. The meats I asked for were cabeza, asada, pollo, adobada, and carnitas. The cabeza was very flavorful and tender, the adobada had bursts of flavor and the meat was tender not over cooked, carnitas we're juicy and a little crispy but great, and the chicken was marinated to perfection and not dry at all and the asada was amazing. What really brought the flavors together was the salsas, red was the right amount of heat and flavorful, green was the same but with a light hint of citrus, the avocado salsa was seasoned and a nice kick of heat to it but my absolute favorite was a creamy habanero salsa that makes you sweat and full of creamy flavor. Don't think twice when you come across this place just go! read more
