Legacy Food Hall is a place we really like to visit. With the number of small eateries to choose from it doesn't disappoint. On this visit I tried this establishment and it didn't disappoint either, mostly. I'd gotten the huge tray (literally a tray like at a cafeteria) of nachos and two Pollo street tacos. The nachos were piled high, this isn't a small serving like you get and most other establishments. The pile was probably 3" tall. Now, the topping of liquid as well as shredded cheese, the meat, guacamole sauce (this isn't like guacamole in a bowl, it's squirted out of a bottle similar to old time ketchup bottles at a picnic, sour cream sauce is the same technique), sour cream sauce, pico de gallo, and seating are all on top of the big pile of chips. It's not layered. So eating these means grabbing bottom chips to scrap stuff off of the top, otherwise you eat the top and have a tray full of chips with nothing on them. Wicked good tho. Not overly flavored, to be honest. Made for the masses nachos, not made so much for a discerning palate that likes all the different flavors and spiciness to add to the dish. The street tacos were more of the same. Not overly seasoned and flavorful. The meat had some but not in such an amount to make it noticeable. Even eating just the meat alone I really didn't pic you much flavor from added seasonings. They are simple; meat, onions, and cilantro on either flour or corn tortillas, your choice when you order. It was a good eat, don't get me wrong. I'd eat here again for sure, if not just for the plate of monster nachos alone. read more

Probably the best Birria tacos I've had so far in Dallas. I didn't see it on the menu, (I could also just be blind) but boy, please order. It's definitely for your benefit, and you won't regret it. It's around 13$ for these 3 mouth watering tacos and that dipping sauce was ON POINT. The other two little sauces were LIT. The green one had just the right amount of kick to it, and the red sauce is definitely for those who like a little bit of fire with their tacos. Don't forget to try the lime on the tacos before you dip it in the sauce. It definitely gives a different tickle to the tongue and sets the atmosphere of your tasting experience a bit different than if you were to try it out with the line. Definitely a place I will go back too. I keep thinking about that white cup, that dipping sauce is to die for. From what I could tell they don't skimp on the ingredients. I had to get seconds, and I will definitely come back for more. DO NOT FORGET THE CHURROS. I forgot to take a picture because I was savoring the hot sweet treat, and it was gone before I knew it. I haven't had a good churro like that in awhile, definitely was the perfect size and sweetness. Sometimes churros are way too stiff and sweet, but this one was warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness to finish off those epic tacos. I will be coming back. read more

I heard of this spot from an influencer on Instagram. She's from CA, as am I, so I was very intrigued and excited to try it. If you don't know, native Californians are ALWAYS on the hunt for authentic Mexican food in the DFW area. Too bad El Paso is not just a short drive away. DFW has great food. Cant beat the brisket right? But, fantastic tacos seem to always elude us. Until, now. Chilangos has incredible food and service! Yes, it's pricey especially in relation to portion size, (it is definitely small), but it's worth the treat. Especially at this location in Plano at Legacy Hall. You can sample some things here and top off your cravings for something else next door. The carne asada quesadilla was something I'll be thinking of for awhile. But, somehow Chilangos tops even that. With the churro. Wow. Admittedly, I am a churro snob. My mother is Mexican. I'm from Southern CA and I'm no stranger to a wonderful churro. It's easily my favorite dessert in the world. And I think Chilango's has the best churro I've ever tasted. It comes out hot and perfectly dusted with cinnamon sugar. Perfectly even and filled with hot caramel sauce. I ordered two because I didn't want to share with my husband. They only gave us one but when I went back to tell them about the mistake they fixed it immediately. Customer service is great. This is my new favorite taco spot!! Tacos are fire !!! Tacos are a la carte about 3.25 each, choose a meat (pork, barbacoa, carne asada, chicken etc). Tacos come standard with onions, cilantro and choice of salsa ... I mean bangn'! Extra toppings like cheese, sour cream etc are like 25 cents extra, but without all that I loved my carne asada and all pastor tacos! Went on a Friday night and unfortunately no birria tacos. I ordered a pastor and a carne asada taco and while the pastor was more moist and flavorful, both were just ok. I also order the los elotes corn and since it was my first time there, I said yes when they asked if I wanted everything on it. Everything means 3 tablespoons of sour cream, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of cheese (maybe a mild cotija?) and a healthy squirt of hot sauce (which was pretty spicy) on top of boiled corn. It's a personal preference but I think it would have tasted better if they had fire roasted the corn and added less mayonnaise. read more

Let me start off by saying I love the East Dallas location and have never had an issue dining there. As someone who lives in the suburbs north of Dallas, I was pleasantly surprised to see them open in Legacy West. Tonight my husband and I decided to pick up an order of tacos. Right away I noticed the cashier and the kitchen were not on the same page, several people received the wrong order and others were claiming they'd been waiting for orders that never materialized. We proceeded anyway because the tacos are the best in the immediate area. The cook didn't even acknowledge me when I told him my order was to go. He instead toss the tray back on a prep table before bringing it to the attention of the cashier. This is where things went left, instead of simply placing them in a styrofoam box, he and the cashier went back and forth. The cashier using her mask as a chin strap and swinging waist long blond extensions while talking over my food was pretty unappetizing. What took me over the limit was when she picked up the tacos using the same glove she'd been wearing to ring up orders. I decided that I'd be better off requesting a refund that catching food poisoning. It took 2 attempts to get a refund, as they charged my card 2 times as well. Probably will stick to the East Dallas location from now on. Please make your employees wear hair nets and wash their hands/change their gloves when handling food. read more

First time trying Chilangos and it did not disappoint! I had heard lots about their Birria tacos so ordered a portion with cheese - they only have Birria on the weekend. It was seriously delicious. For a really reasonable price you get 3 tacos full with delicious Birria and a side of the broth to dip or drink. I took my Husband who is Mexican and he said it was the most authentic Pastor / Barbacoa / Birria that he has had in Dallas. I'm still thinking about that Birria 24 hours later... we will be back!!! read more

This was pretty good! The chips and salsa are very good. I added the melted cheese to the carne asada taco which paired well and a normal pork. I do wish there were more free topping choices- the tacos just come with onions & cilantro and everything else is additional money. read more
