Rating: 4.3/5 [delivery] We ordered two Create Your Own Bowls ($12.10) and added extra protein to each one. The bowls were packed all the way to the lid, so the portions were definitely generous. We had leftovers and didn't feel heavy after our meal so it's a convenient healthy option. - Braised Korean BBQ Pork: Tasted like pulled pork so we weren't huge fans. - Spicy Chicken: Not as good as the fried chicken options. It's like poached chicken tossed in a spicy sauce. Wish the sauce was caramelized so it can coat the chicken better. - Bang Bang Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites coated in their zesty Bang Bang sauce. It was okay. I wouldn't have known it was fried and couldn't really tell what the flavor was until I read the description. - K'Pop Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites in the Gangnam sauce. This was the best of the three chicken proteins we tried thanks to their Gangnam sauce. - Base - Brown Rice: Great texture, not hard. - Base - Jasmine Rice: Really good. The white rice tasted like it was lightly seasoned or flavored. - Base - Japchae Noodles: Delicious, well cooked with great texture and flavor. - Base - Fries: Not a great base option. The fries got soggy. - Cold Toppings: All the veggies were fresh so you really cannot go wrong. I especially loved the esquites and caramelized kimchi. Recommend skipping the tortilla strips for takeout or delivery since they can get soggy. - Sauce: The carrot ginger dressing was surprisingly really good and even had little bits in it. I was not a fan of the magic sauce since it tasted like a spicy mayo aioli that was not spicy.

Our first visit to Chi'Lantro was pretty good. It took a minute to browse the menu. Our server Levi was very helpful and let us sample items off the bar. I went with tofu since they didn't have any other vegetarian or pescatarian items. It was good! I went with the noodle bowl but with rice instead of noodles. Unfortunately the rice was overcooked and hard. All of the other ingredients were fresh. The bowl was ok, but even with the sauce it felt dry. I will order something different next time. The fries were great and my fiances wrap was HUGE and lasted 2 meals. We will go back again especially now that I understand that I can make my own bowl. Friendly service and comfortable space to eat at for a fast casual restaurant.

I love this place! Great customer service, everyone is so friendly and helpful. They have a Curated By Rice Bowl Experts menu. I love it! Makes it easier for me instead of trying to figure out what to choose. I got the KPOP Chicken Bowl and it hits the spot every time,, consists jasmine rice, carrot, Monterey jack cheese, cilantro, green leaf lettuce and cabbage mix, pickled veggies, onion, red cabbage, sesame seeds, and spicy ranch. The portions are just right for the price. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the bowl to share. I devoured it, I guess I'll need to come back again. Ladies if your dinning in they have purse hooks under all the tables . Next time I will take pics I promise! Came back and I have pics this time!

been in austin for 2 years and have always wanted to check out this place but just never got around to it. Came here 30 minutes before they closed and the staff was incredibly welcoming and was patient with me. I got a salad bowl with carnitas and it was a big bowl! They gave me so much meat i was stuffed. Angel even brought over chips and salsa because be heard it was my first time there! I WILL be back!! Great location, amazing staff, good food! Zero complaints!

My buddy Mike & I came here earlier this Saturday afternoon around 1pm to grab a to go lunch after walking the lake. There was no line when we walked inside, and the inside of the restaurant was both clean and very well kept. As for the food, it was solid. Definitely recommend their soy glazed chicken (although they have other protein options as well), and they have several other add ins to choose from as well such as eggs, corn, black beans, kimchi, chilantro, shredded carrots, etc. If you haven't been to chilantro, this spot is definitely worth trying!

I honestly love this place. It's model after fast casual restaurants but it has a Korean twist (obviously). Their selection is always fresh, reasonably priced, flavorful, and portions are massive. I highly recommend this place for a no frills weeknight spot

Chi'Lantro use to be a food truck. You can tell it lost some of that creative energy & charm since moving into an established brick and mortar. Not bad if you are looking for a quick bite (taste more of a chain than an authentic food experience) . The portions are generous and the service was excellent. Definitely better than Chipotle.

Friendly, fast service, delicious food and clean environment! Thank you!! :) Will definitely be coming back!

I can't say this was a favorite for me. I wanted to try the Asia Qdoba which apparently Chi lantro has similarities to the Qdoba! I really should have gotten educated on the Asia flavors because I made a rice bowl and I can't say I was really pleased with my selections I just threw things together. I tried to ask questions but they had customers waiting so I proceeded. I bought 4 rice bowls and paid about $50! It was too much in my opinion. I don't think I'll return.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon with no problem finding street parking. Greeted by friendly staff, clean causal ambience and healthier menu option. We created 2 make your own style bowls. Can't go wrong with half noodles and half salad. All the meats were flavorful. Went with the steak and tofu. I would recommend getting sauce on the side. The food is good, I would come back but more importantly the staff and service was top notch! Kudos to the Sunday crew!

Love this spot. Had yummy kimchi fries. I had a coupon, but they skipped applying it and refunded me and redid the order. More training needed, only one of the reps knew how to process the refund. The restaurant is really loud as well. Hopefully next time no issues applying my coupon. Everyone was new once, so not too bothered.

The first time I visited was for a friend's birthday and we were a larger group, sat in their back / partially outdoor section. We let the team order for us and everything was an absolute hit! We let them know the things we absolutely wanted to try, what we wanted more of, and they took it from there. The second time I visited, it was a date night and we ordered a few plates to share. The boat is always a good choice, as it lets you try a few if their bbq meats. I'm a fan of the hot pockets and their cornbread as well. I will say, that back room is incredibly loud! I could barely hear myself think, let alone have a conversation. The service was great each time, I'd return!

Someone recently asked me where my favorite steak was, and I struggled to come up with an answer. Not anymore. It's here. We tried several dishes, and almost everything was a total hit. The only thing I might skip next time is the taiyaki cornbread, maybe. Let's start with the absolute standout: the wagyu short rib skewer. It's sous vide for 48 hours, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best meat I have ever had. Ever. If you only order one thing, make it that. Now, let's keep going because it's all great stuff and you need to know what to order. Second place is the chili cheese takoyaki. Don't overthink it, just order it and thank me later. The Hot Pocketz come in third. Not quite as mind blowing as the wagyu, but still a must order. Last on my list was the chashu pork belly, which is still really good, just competing with absolute heavy hitters. I was stuffed and had to order it to go, but If you have room for dessert, the banana pudding is worth it. For drinks, my husband had 2 different sakes and some Japanese whiskey and really liked them. And the decor deserves its own mention, it's like Cracker Barrel meets sexy Japan in the best possible way. It's fun, a little chaotic, and totally unforgettable. And shoutout to Yoshi, our server, who made the whole experience even better. He helped steer us toward the best dishes. Our bill at the end of the night was $88, not bad for all that we ordered. A few tips: make a reservation, ask for Yoshi if you can, and go early because parking is a real pain. Most importantly, get the wagyu short rib skewer.

There is a parking lot that was pretty full but not completely. Once inside, we took seats at the back bar where a buddy suggested we sit for faster service. We had menus and water within minutes, and our bartender was attentive the whole time. We ordered a mix of dishes that had been recommended and a couple more: Oak grilled Snap peas, Coconut scented Rice, Chicken Karaage, Tomato and Cucumber salad, Smoked Prime Bavette Plate, Smoked Beef brisket plate, and Chocolate mousse. For drinks we got Thai Berry smash and Mandarin Margarita. Overall, there was good flavor in all the dishes, with well-paired flavor combos, which is the standard Hai Hospitality sets. However, some dishes didn't have as bold flavor as I was hoping. The Chicken karaage could have been bolder. Surprisingly, the Tomato and Cucumber salad had more flavor than expected. The Prime Bavette and Smoked Brisket were great, though a bit pricy. Both of the drinks were excellent, but only got one each as we're not big on spending on alcohol with dinner. Normally I'd go to this type of place with high-end satiation expectations, such as at Uchiko, where actually filling up would cost a lot so I don't fill up and plan to eat a couple hours later. However, we were both full after eating the above, and even had a piece of brisket and some rice to take home. For the quality, the value is there. The service was great, the bartender checked on us multiple times, and gave us updates on what dishes were left to come out once we were about two-thirds through our order. Each time a dish came we got a refresher on what it was from the server, which I like. The place was about 1/3 full at 5 PM and 2/3 full when we left at 5:45 PM, with the volume-level rising. The speed and quality of the meal taken together is excellent-- we were in and out quickly and enjoyed our fine dining. The restaurant was a bit dark; I could read the menu fine, but one older gentleman had to use his phone to see the menu text. At the end of the meal, a small gift card helped lower the price so it was under 100 out the door. We ended up being very happy with the food and experience-- it was great, but it wasn't amazing solely because a couple dishes needed their good flavor to be bolder. No single item wasn't good, and a couple were exceptional, so I'd easily recommend this restaurant and would like to go back.
