Pho with rare eye round, tendon, and tripe
    Charli V.

I really needed pho. Unfortunately, it wasn't this bowl that I needed. I think everything was there, the bowl quantity, the service, the presentation. MINUS the quality, I'm pretty sure the noodles used in my bowl was spoiled because my bowl had a sour taste that just wasn't palatable. Also, the "fresh" coconut juice is a frozen drink that was served still frozen. Lol I'm not a fan, and won't be coming back. On my wuto finding a good pho place in south Austin.

I love the banh mi! I always order mine with lemongrass grilled tofu and extra veg. Mom loves the dynamite shrimp. It's on the appetizer menu but she orders it as a meal. I tried their vegan pho but I thought the broth had a weird flavor. Still, nice attempt to making the menu more vegan friendly. My family has been going to this location since it opened. We have our favorites and they're done well. The takeout holds up for the most part except the spring rolls are wrapped so tightly in plastic wrap that they lose their shape upon opening. Other than that, happy days! I keep going back. That's my review.

    Beef Stew

OK it's winter. What do you need? Definitely a big bowl of beef stew from this amazing restaurant. The flavor is intense and amazing. And more hearty option than pho. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and the value and low prices are appreciated. I usually get some bok choy on the side for veg. Need to come back and try the sushi.

Pho was ok. Unfortunately, all of the veggies looked like they had been sitting around for days. Sprouts were brown, avocado in the spring rolls was black. Inside of the restaurant smelled of cigarettes.

    Pho with tripe

A nice lunch of Pho with beef and tripe. I was especially impressed with the tripe as it was cooked perfectly. The beef was plentiful and not fatty, noodles tasty, broth not too salty. It was a bit bland for my taste, so I did add some heat, but that is just my preference. All of patrons around me seemed to be also enjoying their food. Service was very fast and friendly and as it was during the lunch rush, you could tell they were used to dealing with customers who had to eat fast and get back to work. There are places that are much more elegant, more complex, etc. However, at this price point this is a worthy place to consider. I was very interested in the specialties of the house, but those will have to wait until a return trip is made as I was in a rush myself. I highly recommend eating at the establishment as items like the bean sprouts and sliced jalapeno's were nice and crisp. I will return and update at another time after trying some of the specialties and not when they are in a rush due to the lunch crowd.

Honestly, this was a to-go order only for my hubby, however when I left, I regretted not ordering my own large beef pho. When you walk in the venue, it smelled so delicious. It was a Sunday afternoon when I went in, around 3 pm and it wasn't packed however I noticed everyone was quite pleased with their meal. The guy that helped me check out was extremely kind and FYI when you 'check in' via YELP, you have a free soda or tea; I opt for a soda. The venue was clean and like I said, it smelled amazing. Parking was easy and there was plenty of spaces. The prices were super reasonable. I can't wait to go back and dine here.

Not fancy, but a good stop for pho - their egg rolls are pretty good (although they don't serve them country style)

Chicken Pho didn't have much flavor but their beef Pho is better and their Singaporean beef and pork are pretty good.

Ever since Amazon took over whole foods their deli and salads area are so meh, bland and not fresh. I used to live in Long Beach CA and I would go up to LA for work a few times a month. Umami yet bright and light -all the extra veggies at the peak of season. Just chefs kiss! Ps: LOVE how the dressing has its own "home" in the to-go container. -points taken off for the tofu.. it was SUPER salty. Not sure if that is always the way or it was just a bit heavy handed today. It was not edible (bummer). The salad and the large couscous lasted me 4 meals. They pack a LOT of salad in that to go container. Is it worth for "just a salad or sandwich" here. YES! The fresh herbs were a bit excessive on the lamb sammie. Would have liked the lamb to be the dominant flavor, not the mint.

Since the word has gotten out about Casper Fermentables, They sell out early in the day. By lunch time, the bagels were all gone. By 1 pm, everything was all gone and they were shutting up to go home. So set your alarm clock early if you want to go to Casper Fermentables. * * * A charm of Casper Fermentables is that their sandwiches and bagels are seriously overstuffed. Samuel C. loves himself a good overstuffed sandwich. More is more. But Paradise Has Its Price. If your bagel or sourdough bread is overstuffed, that makes it harder to taste the sourdough. Which kind of defeats the primary purpose of you being there. However, if you really concentrate, And eat mindfully, You can make out the taste of that bagel or sourdough bread Underneath all the good stuff. That is a real pleasant moment when that taste comes through. You are going to have to concentrate to get to that sourdough taste. I was with interesting fascinating company - a good person who I hadn't seen in a long time. That was a pleasure in and of itself ... But like my really good tuna salad with excellent dijon and hot pepper oil, It was a delightful distraction from the sourdough. * * * Some things in life are better than fermented bread.
