The chips and dips comes with a massive bag of chips that is more then enough for 4-5 people. The wings fall right off the bone and the kimchi fries, like always, were incredible. Fries stacked with Korean bogolgi and a delicious "magic sauce" topped off with generous garnishes. These fries are a must have/must try with a visit to Chi'Lantro. This is what brings the crowd here. If you haven't tried this yet, you're missing out! Getting closer to the end, we also got to try the cheese corn with chips, it was great if you love corn or elotes in general. But nothing special here, although it was still tasty. Lastly we ordered the chicken wings... The wings were crispy, full of sauce and flavor and well, kinda disappointing when everything else was done so well. Nothing special about the wings. Honestly, I am a huge fan of both Mexican and Korean food, so combining them together is a match made in heaven. The gf and I shared a meal here, family-style. We ordered the original kimchi fries, a 6 count of Korean fried chicken wings, and a bulgolgi burger. First of all, the kimchi fries are amazing! There is a good portion of protein and the magic sauce complements the fries really well. The only downside with the fries is that the shredded cheese is not melted on top of the fries. If they placed melted cheese on the fries, it would taste even better. The Korean fried chicken wings were a bit lackluster because they were a bit dry and overcooked. They were also covered with way too much sauce, which oversaturated the wings. However, the bulgolgi burger that we ordered was heavenly! The fried egg had a liquid yolk, and there was a huge amount of bulgolgi in the burger. The buns were also very soft and paired well with the legendary magic sauce. I finally got a chance to go to their b&m today, and I had mixed feelings about my experience! It's a relatively small place, so it was crowded, but the food came out very quickly despite the business. I ordered the bulgogi burger, which I have already ordered many times at their food truck. This is where the "meh" part comes in. The bottom of the burger was charred BLACK, and the meat, though flavorful, was charred and over-cooked as well. The burnt taste wasn't too overwhelming because of the magic sauce (doing its job by being magically delicious) and the bulgogi marinade, but it was still definitely present. The bottom of my friend's burger was also charred. They did a good job of hiding it though...lol. Hopefully, my experience with the burnt food is a one-time thing, but it was definitely not the best bulgogi burger or the best Chi'Lantro experience I've ever had. My other friend ordered the spicy pork taco, and the meat is flavorful, tender, and juicy...but VERY spicy! They use the worst "hot sauces" known to America, when they could easily be using some great locally made ones or even make their own. They TURNED away a HUNGRY HOMELESS man who had the cash to PAY for exactly what he wanted. All he asked for was a cup of rice and beans. But because of their pretentious credit card only policy they thought it better to turn away a hungry paying customer. Rice and beans for Christ sake. I was so disgusted that I offered to pay for his food but by the time I did he had already left out feeling embarrassed. I still bought the rice and beans because this is a kind man who always waves and smiles as I drive past his spot on my way to work. People in the community know him and his gentle nature. I love the Chilantros food truck they have in west campus and I used to satisfy all my late night cravings there, so when I heard about their restaurant opening I was super excited! The restaurant is small and can get pretty full during dinner so you gotta fight for tables as soon as you see an opening! My friends and I got the staples here at Chilantros which include the Bulgogi burger and the kimchi fries!!! Both are highly recommended and delicious as ever!!! However, here are some pros and cons to the restaurant vs the food truck! Pros: The restaurant has some new menu items like these k-popper Korean style chicken pops! They are delicious and you can get a combo of both flavors! I definitely recommend getting them, although they are a bit pricy. There's also a rice bowl that is similar to the Chipotle burrito bowl, but personally I didn't think it was better than Chipotle's so unless you are craving rice & beans I wouldn't get it. The kimchi rice balls sound good, but I didn't really like the cheesy kimchi infused rice... However one of my friends did like it! The restaurant also has churro bits that the truck doesn't have!!! But come early or else they get sold out! :( Other than that most menu items are the same as the truck! Cons: The restaurant doesn't have some of my favorite menu items from the food truck!!! :( I don't know if they added it, but they were missing the burito and quesadillas that are my regular picks at the food truck! :( Also for some reason I felt that the portions here were smaller than the food truck... But that might have just been me. As I mentioned above, some of the newer menu items just didn't do it for me. Another con is this location is pretty far from campus for all the college students.
