The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. We got the hot pocketz too which are brisket based; they were very cheesy (smoked gouda) -- good flavor but the brisket isn't strong. My coworkers also tried one of their specials which is essentially a Japanese "famed dish" -- it's squid marinated in it's own guts. I tried the tiniest piece and it was one of the most abhorrent things I've had -- it was SO salty and kind of sour. I like fried squid but this was nothing like that; def would not recommend but if you like to try weird things, go for it. We also got several drinks -- the Match painkiller and Puff puff pass (serves 2 people) are both absolutely delightful! Very fruity/tiki-like. Someone else got the grapefruit sour which is basically Shochu in a glass that comes with a fresh half of grapefruit and a juicer you can prep yourself! Overall -- I like Kemuri a lot.
