The Best Cafe De Olla. It was okay. Not sure it was the best.

If you're writing a review, here's a polished version that keeps your honest feedback while sounding balanced and fair: Chilaquiles Modern Kitchen has a fun and energetic atmosphere and seems to be a very popular spot within the local Latino community, especially for celebrations and gatherings. The concept is creative, the portions are generous, and the valet parking is a nice touch. Our server, Lluvia, was wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and helped us navigate the menu. Nancy also provided excellent service, bringing our silverware and food and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff was truly the highlight of our visit. The restaurant has a great vibe, although the actual location and surroundings did not quite match the impression presented on TikTok. The dining area could also benefit from a bit more attention to cleanliness. As for the food, it was decent but did not quite live up to the concept. I ordered the chicharrón breakfast dish. It was fine, but it was not what many people from Mexico would recognize as traditional chicharrón en salsa. Instead of chicharrón, it was more like pieces of pork in sauce. My husband ordered the machaca, which was okay, and our son had the Laly pancakes. They were cute, fun, and very large, but extremely sweet. The Bloody Mary was also just okay. Overall, the concept, atmosphere, and service are outstanding. The staff made us feel welcome, and the restaurant has a great energy. For us, the food was the weakest part of the experience, but the excellent service and lively environment made for an enjoyable visit.

Chilaquiles trío. Substituted protein for refried beans. 10/10!!

Long wait on a Sunday NFL kickoff weekend. Gets hot by the door waiting for your table. Once we got seated everything went smoothly. Best chilaquiles in AZ. Clean but small dining area. Outdoor seating was available but it's too hot in AZ in September. Definitely will be going back to get my HDL/LDL higher than my HBP! It's a race!!!

Wait times are long but worth it. Fast service. If you want a quiet meal do not recommend. They have a DJ and great atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious and a way cool place. Food 10+, Servce 10, ambience 10. This place is really getting popular. Glad we went for sure.

This meal was a whole experience, not just dinner. I ordered the molcajete platter and it came out literally bubbling with flavor. The stone bowl was loaded with tender grilled steak, juicy shrimp, smoky chicken, spicy chorizo, roasted jalapeños, cactus, grilled green onions, and a thick layer of molten cheese soaking in rich, savory salsa. Every bite had something different going on smoky, spicy, salty, cheesy all balanced perfectly. The sides of fluffy Mexican rice and creamy beans were the comfort-food finish this giant platter deserved. Now let's talk about the margarita. This spicy margarita was a little bit of a disappointment as it was not spicy and was served warm. The chile-rim gave it just the right kick, the pineapple was fresh and bright, and the jalapeño added a smooth heat that didn't overpower the drink just not the spicy I was hoping for. Presentation was . From the sizzling bowl to the beautifully garnished margarita, everything looked great. Portions were generous enough to share (but I didn't want to). Final verdict: 8/10. Come hungry, leave happy, and definitely don't skip the pineapple jalapeño margarita.

Came here based on a hungry hotline recommendation for brunch. This place is Busy! We were seated at a high top table in the bar area, which was not ideal for having conversation, which is probably why others declined the high top table when offered. Not knowing any better we accepted. They had a live DJ playing music, but sadly it was VERY loud. This is where they lost a star from me. It was even difficult to hear the server. The restaurant was lively and service was excellent. The food was excellent! I ordered the Birria ramen, it is a little deceiving in the description of the dish as it says it is served with 3 Birria tacos, when actually it came with three tortillas filled with melted cheese, the Birria was the meat in the ramen. You could not get the tortillas apart to make a taco as the cheese was like glue. That aside, the Birria damn was delightful, spicy broth, ample noodles and meat, and eggs cooked as ordered. The potatoes in the dish had a nice flavor from the broth. Portions here are enough for two to share. The Mole chilaquiles were very good, nice mole sauce, my friend ate them all! The divorced chilaquiles were also amazing with nice meat and vegetables added. Lastly the corn quesadillas with chicken was a tasty meal that was devoured on the spot. Overall, this was a wonderful brunch spot that I would come to again, despite the loud music.

Our friend chose this spot for her birthday, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious comfort food, and chose the coffee served with a concha was such a great treat. Definitely a place worth checking out don't miss the chilaquiles!

This is such a cute, upscale Mexican restaurant with a big focus on chilaquiles. The green and orange sauces really stand out and everything else we tried was pretty good too. My favorite item was the jalapeño margarita. I don't like my margaritas sweet in any way and this one was perfect with hardly any sweetener at all. The tequila they used (Santoro) was incredibly smooth. My partner had the mango blended margarita and said it was delicious as well. For food, I had the cóctel de camarón. It could've used a few more shrimp y aguacate but overall still deliciosos. The kids had a chilaquiles trio and a burrito, both got two thumbs up. Our guest tried the molcajete de cielo, mar y tierra. She doesn't like nopales but said everything else was delicious. My partner had the chile relleno and really enjoyed it. Service was decent with friendly staff, but they did forget a couple of things. Nothing major, just could be a bit more attentive. My only other suggestion is to maybe turn up the AC a bit since it was a little warm inside. Overall, we left happy and full. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. I'll be back for the jalapeño margarita.

My favorite spot for chilaquiles! Honestly haven't been anywhere else where the chilaquiles are good, they make them delicious here, authentic and fresh! Vibes are great here , there's a DJ. Service is very welcoming. Must try! Parking can get a little difficult.

Well wifey wanted to try this place because she said everytime she drives by it's packed. Saturday morning 940ish it was pretty busy but no wait. Cool vibe in the restaurant and it was packed. Ordered menudo of course and the chilaquiles trio. Also orders the caffe de olla with concha. Caffe de olla brought back some memory of Mexico City. That's where I last tasted the caffe.. Caffe was yummy with nice cinnamon taste. Concha was also yummy nice and fresh. My menudo came and I initially I thought bowl was smaller than some of the other places. But that small bowl was pack with goodies. Broth had nice clean tasting and was not overly oily on top. The chilaquiles was something else.. I don't usually order it but I can say of all the ones I've had this place was the best. Red sauce was my favorite and every single bite of the chips it tasted fresh and crispy. Not one of them over double fried hard chips. Eggs were also cooked perfect. Over all the food was awesome and staffs were very friendly and attentive. Not too many times I come to a restaurant where my head move around looking at what other people are eating. I would definitely come back here again and try other dishes. Only thing bad I have to say is the music is little bit on the loud side (reminded me of being at a club back in the days ). Also the place is little on the small side with lots of people so it was loud and top it off with loud music. So if you can't handle or don't like loud noisy restaurant don't come here on busy day. Other small detail was that initially I told the server I was going to pay with card so I got 3% fee added to my bill that I paid cash for.. Lame..

The service is not good. The employees seem bothered when asking for something. The food is always good. I always get the chilaquiles and they never miss. The birria tacos are bomb too and the cafe de olla is amazing. If only they could work on their customer service skills and this place would be a 10/10

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

It's a seat yourself joint. Focusing seating around the focal point, the big bar area. Atmosphere is pleasant, spacious and welcoming! Decent selection of food options. Huge draft, craft beer selection. The staff is friendly & offers just the right amount of attention. You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

Despite this, there was only one person working -- a server who was also acting as the bartender -- trying to handle everything. At one point, a woman came in to pick up a to-go order and stood waiting for quite a while. When the server finally got to her, she joked, "Are you the server, bartender, and cook?" His response: "I just don't cook." Her food still wasn't ready, so she had to keep waiting. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa, which cost $9.55 but was only about three-quarters full in the wine glass. Why serve it like that? It just felt skimpy. After finishing my drink, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting to close out my tab. This was actually my second visit. We came once before for dinner with friends since we all live in Mesa and thought the concept was cool and close to home. Unfortunately, the service then was just as bad, even with more staff on shift. I had hoped stopping in for a quick drink would be a better experience -- but sadly, it wasn't. I won't be back. It's a shame because the place has potential, but management really needs to take staffing seriously.

I have gotten good service maybe three times.Every other time the servers either do not come to us, take extremely long, or are rude and acting like we're messing up their day by asking for basic customer service. Just the other day my friend and I ordered tower station. When we received the beers, they were absolutely not tower station. We asked to switch beers and our first server was very kind and accommodating. Then out of nowhere came this (im assuming supervisor?) that said "what happened with the beers? I checked the keg its fine." with a super rude attitude. It was so awkward my whole friend group talked about it afterwards. Additionally, I don't think I have ever had the same server/bartender twice. The turnover rate is likely very high. This place has so much potential. I really wish the owners took its management seriously and hired some competent servers. Want to rate it higher.
