This place rocks... Went with family and kids were saying it is so small before we walked in, don't let the size fool you... This was fantastic food. We all got different dishes and all of them were delicious. I had chile rellenos with chicken, best I have ever had. The steak was great, tacos outstanding and the special fajitas were served piping hot and delicious. Service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Places like this are hard to find and should thrive as a business. Cannot say enough positive things.. son had fried ice cream for dessert, could barely get a bite... Hard to find but worth the search. I've had the shredded chicken burritos twice and they are superb. The sauces are the best I've eaten. All ingredients are fresh. My wife had the chili rellanos and again they were tasty. My fresh blueberry and ginger margarita really hit the spot and the bartender was as excited to make it as I was to drink it. Very attentive wait staff and the chef was also checking to make sure everything was as expected. This will definitely be a repeater. read more

I give these guys props for enthusiasm. This small corner plaza Mexican spot is nice enough inside with high ceilings and decent decor. They seemed either a bit shot staffed or just don't have their routine quite down yet. After seating, service was quick with the drinks and chips/salsa. We added a small cheese dip. I had the shrimp cocktail at a little over $14. My companion had chicken quesadillas with beans and rice. Main dishes took quite a while to table. The shrimp cocktail arrived from the back. Then chef prepped the quesadillas on the open grill within view in quick time. I'm not sure the thought process on the shrimp cocktail. Served in a giant margarita glass, plenty of diced shrimp pieces are mixed in a red 'cocktail' sauce. I put quotations here because the sauce was some combo of pica de Gallo and the sweetest, sugary tomato sauce ever tasted. I was expecting salsa or typical cocktail sauce served American style. This sugary sauce, unfortunately, made the dish inedible. As for the chicken quesadillas, they too were off flavor for Mexican fare. Here, the chicken had a smoky-sweet, almost bar-b-que flavor and not an expected chili, garlic, celantro, cummin, etc. No onion, pepper, grill flavor. No sour cream or cheese. So, again, a dissatisfying dish. When asked, we provided feedback and the server (likely owner) removed the cocktail charge (we didn't ask). That was nice as he saw we at little of either dish. Sorry for the negative review, but these are my realistic comments based on the food served. read more

Visiting Myrtle Beach for the very first time, we had no idea where to go for good Mexican food. Google guided us in making a decision to try this place out. Food was so-so. I really liked the red salsa that came out with the chips..and the fish (flounder) ceviche was pretty tasty too. My brother ordered chicken nachos as an appetizer, but it was a little bland & plain. The chicken didn't have the flavor & spices we were hoping for. We (adults) ordered cocktails, but they took forever to be served. Descriptions in the menu made them sound more tasty than they actually were. As for entrees, I decided to keep it simple and order tacos. The steak was decent, but I have my regular taco places here in Chicago that are way better. I think our server was actually the owner. He was really nice & polite, however, he seemed like a one-man show. It was pretty obvious that he needed a helping hand, since everything came out in slow motion. He brought my little girls churro & fried icecream for dessert. They actually really liked that. We would possibly stop in again on our next visit to Myrtle Beach...at least now we know what to order & what to take a pass on. read more

We found this place based on Yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint. Chips and salsa were excellent. We also had the bean dip, and it was good. For entrees, we split the choripollo burrito, and our daughter had the cheese quesadillas. Both were generous portions and really tasty. I also had a grapefruit martini and my husband had a beer. This place rocks!! After checking reviews of Mexican restaurants in Myrtle Beach, we decided to go a bit off the beaten path, and we're very glad we did. Don't let a strip mall scare you. We were warmly greeted at the door by the owner Gavo, I believe was his name, and seated promptly. The service was great and the food was even better, the cocktails were spot on. This is our must-go-to spot when we are in MB. The guacamole is freshly made and delicious. I had shredded beef enchiladas. I've never had any like it and they were delicious. I was a little leery of shredded beef because sometimes it is stringy. This beef melted in my mouth. We splurged on the flan. Should have ordered only one between us; the serving was huge, smooth and silky. It is a little out of the way but worth the trip. read more

My aunts, uncle, and I visited this little gem of a restaurant tonight, and I have to say that it is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. My aunts loved the margaritas, and the food was made fresh to order. The chef was on full display, and took great pride in his work. It's not your typical Mexican restaurant where you order and in two seconds, your food is on the table. It's made from scratch after you place your order, so it takes a little more time, yet we weren't waiting forever, either. We each got something different (I had the chicken burritos), and we were all very impressed with our respective orders. Seriously, you could taste the freshness. It is a small restaurant, intimate atmosphere, and the staff was exceptionally friendly without being pushy. All I can say is, and this is all that really matters... I WILL GO BACK! read more

Ordered steak or beef fajitas. Not sure which it was. It was like greasy course ground beef. It had no flavor and neither did the semi cold rice and beans it came with. The only thing that had flavor was the house made tortillas but unfortunately they just fell apart. The sour cream was as watery as the hot sauce. I'm not sure who has been giving them great reviews it must be friends of the owner but trust me go somewhere else. Btw the menu is only like 10 items long. read more

We are so grateful to find an OUTSTANDING family run Tex-Mex restaurant in our area. We opted for a call in order that was ready exactly on time. The folks who work there are genuinely friendly and the food was exceptional. I arrived a couple minutes early and was warmly greeted and checked out on time. I observed excellent compliance with the silly but essential Covid requirements. Now...the fun and delicious part... a lovely matronly lady was hand making masa wraps for my wife's fajitas and my shredded quesadilla was so thick it reminded me of a south American empanada. Very small restaurant in a shopping center in the Fair Oaks area of Myrtle Beach but it delivered big on flavor. From the salsa and chips to the Mexican Fried ice cream, it was delicious. The kitchen can be viewed from the dining area and it was very clean. The owner and waiter were friendly and helpful. I had the fish tacos and my husband the shredded beef burritos. Yum.
