Okay so we had been on vacation for 7 days and Alamosa was our last stop. We needed good food, food we were used too, food we love. This chili's DID NOT disappoint. Not only that, when my hubby walked in to pick up the order, they knew immediately who we were, what we had ordered, and because we were at a hotel, threw in all the extra essentials like silverware and napkins. Arrived quarter til closing to buy a drink and have dessert, only to apparently inconvenience the bartender. She has a nose piercing and immediately told us drinks would take a long time because she put everything away, she then said that the kitchen was closing soon and we should hurry our order. We receive our drinks and she slams them on the table, followed by slamming our dessert. The Manager comes to check on us and we told him about her aggressive behavior; he didn't care either. She finally comes back to ask for another drink and we told her how rude and aggressive she was. She got even nastier. We ended up giving a tip to a waitress that was waiting tables on the other side of the restaurant because at least she serviced customers. read more

I am usually disappointed with their service but I've always let it go. It's happened so much that I feel like I should share my experience. Not only is the service bad, but the workers can be snappy. It's clear to see that half of them just do it for the money. Today I ordered a fajita to go, and when I got home and opened it, it was all in one box. I also ordered steamed broccoli and asparagus, and they came in a plastic bag. All of the water dripped onto the rest of my food along with the tortillas. I went back and picked it up a second time after telling them what happened, and when I got back home everything was in its own separate box (which is how it should have been the first time, but they decided to throw everything in there instead). We visited this Chili's about 2 years ago. It was awful. their stove was broken. Fast forward...this week march 2019. we thought we'd give 'em another try. Service is terrible. After waiting a long time i went to find the Host to see if we could service at our table. when we got our drinks they didn't have syrup in the sodas. just the carbonated water. sent them back and waiting about 15 minutes to get them back. 2 of our 5 orders were wrong and honestly the food was either over cooked or mush. won't be going back here again. read more

We drove and we drove and we drove, finally reaching the village of Alamosa. Last year, we had it in mind that we wanted to visit all 59 of our nation's National Parks. Why we started with Great Sand Dunes NP... well, your guess is as good as mine. After several days eating our way through New Mexico, we finally made it to Colorado. The scenery was beautiful in some places, sketchy in others, like the desolation of Route 285. I got my first look at some Colorado 14ers, which was very cool. We were starving when we got to Alamosa, so we swung into the good ol' standby, Chili's. Our wonderful server, Kristen, could tell we were travel weary. She suggested a Margarita, and we agreed. The drinks hit the spot after a long day of travel in a strange environment. We made it easy and ordered the Two for $22 nonsense off the menu. We weren't expecting much, but everything was great. We noshed on guacamole and chips while we sipped our Margaritas. Dinner was a tasty Margarita grilled chicken, which hit the spot although I hate it when my travel companion orders the same thing as me. There ought to be a law. Everything was so good, we ordered another round of drinks, since we could literally throw a rock from the Chili's parking lot and hit our hotel. I gave in to the other side and ended up at Chili's tonight. Let's just say that when in Alamosa, CO the options are limited and although Chili's is not the preferred choice, in Alamosa it's up at the top as far as one of the better restaurants to dine at and it just so happens to be right next to my hotel and office, convenience is key some days. I opted to sit at the bar while waiting for a To Go order. Right now this Chili's is offering 2 for 1 drink specials all day every day and I have to say two Cran Vodka drinks gave me a little buzz while waiting for my food. I decided on the Sante Fe Chicken Salad and in 25 minutes I had finished my drinks, had paid, and had my salad ready to go. Salad was fine and fit the bill for the evening. Tasted just fine for a salad. Not an every day occurrence but when traveling to limited cities Chili's will deliver consistent food and service every time. read more

In the last year or so this place has totally changed. It's like it lost its soul, attitude, and professionalism. What used to be a consistently fun place has become angry and weird. I don't know if its just covid or the new management or what. It's dirtier, ruder, less delicious, and mostly less fun. I don't know where to go anymore, this used to be my favorite place but I'm tired of getting ripped off by uncaring staff for cold, gross food and inconsistent bar drinks. My husband and I ate here back in late March and got food poisoning. We had the chocolate molten lava and shared some cinnamon apples and just had there water. So not sure what was bad, but it came from one of the three things or all of them. Be careful with what you order... What is wrong with service these days is freaking sucks! Worst food I have ever had! Staff were nice and food looked good, but it did not taste good. Went on Vacation to Alamosa a couple weeks ago and was wanting something more like home. Food was awful and I puked all over the bathroom later that night. I have never had food that bad from a restaurant before. Usually a reliable place to go and get decent food and drinks. Great for to go orders. The bartenders are pretty good, the one girl that's been there for a while is super on point! Probably one of the best in the valley! The restaurant is usually PACKED, so Id imagine any bad reviews where they were not taken care of was because it was so super packed. The food is good as it is just like any other chili's. The wait time is ok too but the service isn't all that great. They take along time to check back to especially when you are ready to pay. Food is normal and taste fine. The prices I would disagree with but it is a chain restaurant and there is not much you could do for that. The drinks here are also good. Terrible service, Terrible Managerial Response and cold food! My husband and I stopped into have lunch while traveling. We have always liked Chili's so it was a no brainer. We were seated promptly and a waitress took our order in a timely manner. We ordered chips, salsa & guacamole along with our respective meals. We got our chips, etc... right away. They were good. Then we waited for over 25 minutes for our meals. We had to get our waitresses attention to ask to check on them. She came back and said they were waiting on something on my husband's meal to finish. When the meals finally came out, my salad was warm and wilted, the chicken over cooked and the quesadilla was cold & hard. My husband had steak, broccoli, mashed potatoes and baby back ribs. The only thing on his plate warm, were the baby back ribs. The waitress came by about 5 minutes later and asked how the meal was and we told her of the problems. She said that she would get her manager to come out and talk to us--she immediately went to the back room. The rest of the time our waitress avoided all eye contact with us. About 5 minutes later, after we had waited, then just paid for our meals at the tabletop kiosk, had gotten up and were leaving, the manager finally came out. He made a comment about he had heard that we didn't like our food and he had been stuck in the back. The managers attitude was less than sincere. My husband told him that the food, service and the managers response was not up to Chili's standards, we were disappointed and we left. We will not go back to that Chili's ever again. Also be careful when browsing through the tabletop kiosk at Chili's, evidentially I accidentally purchased a game, without paying attention and was charged .99 for a game I never played. read more

We could never find the waitress when we needed her, not all of our food came out, the food we had was severely overcooked (think veggie burger like a hockey puck). So I wait in the to go parking spot designated to curb side service. I waited 30 ml minutes then called and was told come In. I paid 36? For a 25$ meal?.I get it to the hotel. This restaurant which claims to be proud of its hamburgers served me the worst hamburger of my entire 65 years! Every bite was actually hard crunchy and very difficult to chew. This chilis has the brand new chilis look and I love it. It's much better then the old look. The staff here was very kind and worked very hard to keep the customers happy. I could tell that all the servers were treated all their customers really well. The food was great as always. Can't beat the two for $20 deal! Totally recommend this place.
