The food is just as good as every other Chili's, but what usually separates Chili's from other restaurants is the exceptional service, and that is exactly what this location is lacking. On one visit, I had to ask for the sauce that comes with my fajitas and PAY for another topping which I know is supposed to be included (it is clearly stated on the menu AND it was not the first time I ordered this item!) Then on another visit, the waitress never came to our table to ask how our meal was, I never got a refill on my drink, AND she brought us the wrong dessert but we couldn't tell her because we never saw her after getting our dessert. Chili's is normally my favorite restaurant, but it's pretty bad when I live in Oshkosh and I go all the way to Germantown to eat there because the service in Appleton is so terrible! read more

Our last visit could not have been a bigger disappointment. We arrived and greeted warmly at the door little did we know that was going to be the highlight of the evening. Ordered chips and salsa well the chips came by themselves no salsa. Told the waitress about the missing salsa she came back 5 min later with it finally. I ordered the combo ribs and steak it came looked good and I asked my waitress for an extra side of BBQ sauce again she said sure. Well I ate my steak, potatoes, broccoli and half my ribs (leaving the ribs for last waiting for sauce) before she returned with the side of sauce. Also the ribs were overdone and had a texture of jerky rather than ribs. All the waitress could say was sorry about that do you want more soda? At chilis I am not expecting great food just good so our return to this place will be unlikely. read more

The Appleton Chili's is an absolute gem as far as the chain is concerned. They have a great manager who really cares about their guests, and the service is fantastic. They also do special things for families like Daddy/daughter nights with Princess Elsa. You can get good food at any Chili's location, but the people at this location make it truly wonderful. read more

Of the Appleton chain restaurants, Chilis is the best in class. With so many good non-chain choices around here, I realize its kind of like winning a beauty contest between Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller. But heck, Chilis, take what you can get, right? Personally, I like their burgers and chicken wraps. The best part of Chilis is the fries- you just can't make them like that at home. Kids menu is big and has lots of good choices- who doesn't love mini corn dogs? Communists, that's who! The place was packed for lunch on a Saturday. Our server Angie was amazing! We started with the breaded asparagus. It was delicious. My husband had the prime rib tacos. Our waitress said good choice. When we didn't have power last week due to the storms - we stopped here for dinner. I got a burger with jalapenos and guacamole... and it was so bland. The bun was straight out of a bag, nothing done to it. The burger was overcooked and barely warm. We split a cheesecake for dessert - which was also bland. The women's bathroom was very messy, toilet paper all over the floor and an overclogged toilet. With so many great local restaurants, and even 5 guys making much better burgers - we have no reason to return. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Waited 10 minutes for someone to seat us. Awful service from disinterested staff. My wife's fajitas arrived with the container for tortillas filled with no fajitas. No sign of a waitress for at least 15 minutes, she ate the rest of the meal before it got cold. My boneless wings were dry and barely warm. If I could give no stars I would. We waited for 25 minutes to get our to go order before we were even acknowledged by the employees. They then said they forgot about our order because we placed it about an hour before we wanted to pick it up. The female employee that helped us kept says that she wasn't trying to make excuses. However that's all she did. Then said her manager might give us some coupons or something but that there was nothing that could be done and we would have to wait another 20 minutes to get our food. If you order food to go it should be ready the time we choose it to be ready. Not 40 minutes after the chosen time and then have to deal with rude employees on top of that. read more

The chips melt in your mouth. That may seem weird to say about chips, but they are delicious. I filled up on chips and strawberry lemonade before my meal even got there. The lemonade has real strawberries; not fake whatever some restaurants use. The prices are reasonable, the environment is nice for a family or a group of friends, and the food is delicious. read more

My fiancé and our son and I went to Chilis this passed Saturday night (around 530) which was obviously a prime time - they were busy. We were told it would be about a 30 min. ended up only waiting about 15 mins. which was awesome! We both got the ultimate bacon burger - holy crap that thing was fantastic! Long story short, we had a $50 gift card and our bill came to $53.17 so we charged the $3.17 to our debit card - when I checked our bank acct Sunday morning I saw we were charged $33.23 to our card. I called right away when they opened and talked to the manager who took down my info and said he would give me a call back once he had it all figured out - he called later that day (apologized for the delay, however I know he is running a business and wasn't even expecting a call until later that night) he said I would only be charged the $3.17 and let me know if it wasn't cleared up with my bank by tuesday to call him and let him know (even provided his cell phone number) and then got our address to send some gift cards for the inconvenience - which is definitely much appreciated! That manager was wonderful, polite, and just all around kind. We don't get to Chilis as often as we would like (we live in Neenah) but I can guarantee due to that manager and their great food - we will be going more often! read more
