I haven't been to Chili's for years. My Mom and I split chips and salsa and shrimp/chicken fajitas. The fajitas were really good. We only ate half of the portion, so good portions size (great for a later meal). For a chain, I think Chili's is reliable and good. Service was very friendly. read more

Our intention was to relax this evening, order some food and wait this power outage out. We are on hour number 38 of no power during the 2023 Austin Ice-pocalypse. After dealing with 3 downed trees, freezing temps in our home, wet muddy dogs, and feeling around in the dark, we were pretty confident this day couldn't get much worse. That's when Chili's on Stassney stepped in and said "Hold my beer." We thought "Hey! Let's get Chili's. I'm down for some southwest eggrolls." We ordered pick up, we live 15 minutes away. We used their direct site to place the order. Super easy. We drive there ourselves. Also, super easy. So far so good! We get there, pick up the food- everything was as planned. We get home, cozy up by the fireplace and open our food. We ordered: 1 Smokehouse Combo {with brisket quesadillas, bbq ribs, street corn, toast and fries. 1 Ultimate Smokehouse Combo {with brisket quesadillas, bbq ribs, sausage, street corn and fries. 1 Triple dipper {with SW eggrolls, chicken crispers, big mouth bites} We got: The Smokehouse combos: each order carefully crammed into one box each. Each item was layered in such away to achieve both equal parts sogginess and cries of "what the hell is this?" Think, less combo, more casserole. Starting with the first layer, brisket quesadillas {re: slimey, wet tortillas}, topped with garlic toast, with a whole ass corn-on-the-cob on top of that, with a BBQ-sauced half order of jerky-like ribs on top. {The Ultimate had an advanced-level stack with sausage crammed next to the toast} No fries, thank God. 1-Triple Dipper with extra dry chicken crispers and squished big mouth bites. Why they were so squished is beyond me since since they decided to not add the eggrolls. So make that 1 double dipper, but charge extra. We call the store to let them know we are missing some key items and that the thing is messier than the Texas electric grid. "Manager Jose" tells us that we didn't get fries "because they are out. But, they were going to pick some up and we could come back to get them if we wanted." He also said they were out of southwest eggrolls, so that's why we didn't get that. Folks- hear me out. If you order food...and the place does not have the food...shouldn't someone tell you? And NOT charge you for the food you are not getting? Maybe offer a substitution? Maybe charge less? I'm just spit-balling here. We asked Manager Jose why we were not informed 1) after ordering, or 2) when we were standing there in the Chili's, in person, picking it up. Manager Jose said it was because they were busy with customers. Alrighty... We spent $72, tip included, because???? After a lot of back and forth, Manager Jose said he would refund the order {since we requested they make it again and package it separately, and we would come pick it up..again}. He said he would refund the food amount, but not the tip. We told Jose that tipping on an order that was inedible was unacceptable. Manager Jose said this is how it is done everywhere {it's not} and that he was not able to refund the tip {he is}, and that we could call his manager and they would say the same thing {you got it, dude}. When asked for his manager's name, he said "I do not want to give you that information". I don't know of anyone else other than Manager Jose that needs to hear this- but just in case, here goes: Thanks to the "internet" or a "telephone", I can find out the name of a restaurant manager. I can also find their manager. If given enough time and motivation, I can probably find Manager Jose's third grade teacher's second cousin. All I am saying is... If someone needs your manager's name, just go ahead and give it to them. Long story short- we'll wait to see if anything actually gets refunded. As for the food: The ribs would have been good had they been cooked a bit less, same with the crispers, the big mouth bites had a microwaved WhiteCastle vibe. The sausage was good! We tried to dry out the quesadillas and toast on a cast iron pan in the fireplace. The toast ended up fine, but the quesadillas were a lost cause. We did end up letting our dogs have the brisket and they gave 5 stars all around. I should mention they also love the cat poop in the litter box and nosing around in the trash, so take their review with a grain of salt. First and last time at this location. One star for the amount of effort and dedication it must take to be so bad. read more

This was so amazingly bad. We got the kid sliders, the original chicken crispers, and the Cajun pasta. We think we usually get more food at a different chili's. The Cajun pasta was supposed to be Cajun (flavorful/spicy) and was so blank and had no flavor. It came with garlic bread that was rock hard. It's been awhile since I've eaten at Chilli's. We had to wait 20 minutes since it was during dinner rush. I noticed that they've made some changes to their menu. Appetizer: We ordered the trio. We chose the cheese curds (which replaced the mozzarella sticks) and two orders of the southwestern eggrolls. The cheese curds were really good, but incredibly salty. The southwestern egg rolls were okay. They didn't taste as good as I remember them being years ago. Beverage: Blackberry iced tea. This was very good. I just wish my server did a better job of keeping my glass filled. It had a slight sweetness to it that wasn't overpowering. Entree: I ordered the chicken crispers. I didn't realize you can choose how crispy you want the batter as well as the seasoning and sauces (mild to spicy). I stuck with the original recipe. It was good, but the batter is more like fish and chips. I feel like the batter for the original recipe was crispier. I asked for BBQ sauce. It also came with honey mustard (I don't typically eat honey mustard, but it was pretty good). The sides that come with it are fries and corn on the cob, but you can make substitutions. I switched the sides to loaded mashed potatoes (topped with cheese and bacon bits) and asparagus with tomatoes. I wasn't even sure if they would have any asparagus since it's not in season right now, but they did. It cost an extra dollar for the asparagus and tomatoes. The asparagus was really good. it was cooked al dente which I love. It didn't really have any seasoning on it, but a little bit of pepper helped to add some flavor to it. With the chicken and potatoes, it really didn't need any salt. The main problem is that the asparagus did not come out with the rest of the food. I had to wait about five minutes before the asparagus came out. Meanwhile I was also waiting for the iced tea that my server said she was bringing. So needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the service at this point. The runner that brought out our food said the asparagus was on the way, but I thought it was coming out right after the other courses, not minutes later. I can't stand when half the order comes out. I don't want to eat all my food before the rest of the meal comes out, but I also don't want to wait on the rest of the order because the food on the table will get cold. The mashed potatoes were okay. They could have used some more cream or milk or something to make them a little bit softer and creamier. I also would have been okay without the cheese and bacon added to it. The chicken was really good, especially with the honey mustard and BBQ sauce mixed together. We paid at the little computer kiosk thing on the table. It didn't have any paper for the receipt, so we had to flag down our server to print out a receipt. Kind of defeated the purpose. I had a little bit of food leftover to save for lunch tomorrow. I'm a little disappointed with the service, however it wasn't a terrible experience. We drove in from Dallas for a jazz concert. We were staying at a nearby Marriott property, and has just returned from the concert. We made it in before midnight and Steven was the bartender. We told him that we were hungry, and he told us to go around to the "to go" order counter. The young lady said that their area was closed, although it appeared open. I saw Steven outside on his break, and told him the we couldn't get a "to go" order. He said not to worry, and that he would take care of us, once he finished his break. A few minutes later, he came to the bar, was super friendly, and took our food order. He said that we could eat at the bar, so we did, and had a few drinks. The food was great, and the beer was cold. He was great throughout, and he didn't rush us at any point, We finished our food and drinks, and as we were leaving the restaurant's outside lights were turned off for the evening. The guy with the tattoos and ear lobes was so rude we waited there for 7 minutes and during those 7 minutes a 8 top and a 10 top party showed up and they were asked what would they like when we waited and we're there first. It's Father's Day. We planned on going bowling but it was an hour wait. Fate brought us to chili's instead. I've recently heard a lot of negative things about chili's so I was nervous to place a Togo order. So glad we did. I'm difficult to deal with but the Togo specialist was so kind. I got the chicken crispers and make sure I got gravy with it. When I arrived I reminded her about the gravy and she brought out 2 large Togo tubs! Great customer service. This chili's has never had good costumer service. Today I bought a paradise pie and brought it home. The ice cream was completely melted by the tone I got home. Like milk. Popped in the freezer for a bit and it did not even freeze in the slightest. When I called chili's and spoke with a manager all I was told was that their ice cream is frozen and that "when ice cream is exposed to air it melts". So rude.
