I was debating on writing this review but the email I received today from Chili's was a slap in the face. So here goes!! Last week around 8-830 pm my family went to have dinner so they decided to go to Chili's, btw I was at a company dinner with no clue what was going on till my husband told me later on that evening. Anyways, they proceeded to enter the restaurant and mind you they were only 5 of them 1 adult and 4 teenagers.........they were told by the hostess that they were too many people for a waitress to handle. So the husband just left with the kids, was it a racist thing or they just didn't want to work?? Place was empty and I've seen more than 5 people get attended at one time at Chili's before. I told my daughter I was going to call and complain about it or just ask how many people is too much for a waitress to handle, she told me just to leave it alone, but I didn't so I called, they just told me that it should've been handled differently on their part. I have always gone to this location but after today I will no longer be going there. I checked in at 12:51 and the host (I didn't get his name) told me it would be a 20-25 min wait. Okay no big deal, I waited. After 40 min, I didn't receive a text but the online waitlist had already taken me off the list. I went inside and told them I hadn't receive a text and they said that my name was not on the waitlist. Other people who got there after us were already being seated. I spoke to the manager and he told the host to get us a table immediately ... we waited another 10-15 min and the host still hadn't cleaned out the table his manager told him to clean out. The chili's to-go today was upsetting. We sat in the parking spot for 45 minutes and "checked in" !twice¡ to let the store know we were waiting. My order was supposed to be ready at 2:54, and despite checking in twice (the first being around 2:20) , I had to walk in myself at 3:06. The food was, low and behold, waiting on the counter. It was cold. The ice had melted in the drinks. And the order was incorrect. Both margarita grilled chickens in our order looked like they had gone through a tumbler. They missed the avocado I paid for on one of them and did not remove the tomatoes. The house salad came in a tiny cup, and as expected, the portion differed from the dine-in experience. And the Cesar salad came with onions, cucumbers, and blended cheese. It was certainly not a Cesar salad, and was not even a full house salad (no croutons or tomatoes). I have nothing but bad experiences here. Black specks in my water, multiple waters. The salad looked days old, super soggy, chicken was cold. My daughters food came out when we got our checks, I had to remind the server multiple times for my daughter's drink. So we asked for a high chair and she decided to inform us that they don't allow high chairs over there because they don't reach and they'll be in the way... So we requested to move and she got all indignant.. "Well, who sat you here anyway??" .. Um, you did. Attempted going recently on Sunday 03/21. Sister in law used the wait list which was great however once the family sat down, ordered drinks, and was about ready to order when we are informed that over half the menu items were unavailable. None of the appetizers were available, no deserts, no potatoes, the list went on. We are getting ready to move to Austin, and here here house hunting for the week. Today we stopped into the Chili's on Stassney Lane for an early dinner. We got there around 5:30 (on a Wednesday) and there were only a few other customers. The greeter opened the door for us and we were seated right away. Our server was wonderful!!! Matt gave us some time to decide, but because I have dietary restrictions and had a hard time deciding, am not use to eating out in strange places and am pregnant fighting cravings.....he actually sat down at our table with us, and helped me decide what it was I COULD eat, and how they could modify my meal to meet my exact needs. Our meal was delicious, and on our way out, our server refilled our drinks and sent us with TO-GO cups. Overall, the service we recieved today was SUPERB. We have NEVER had this kind of customer service in our home state, so we were really impressed. People like our server Matt tonight really cement for us our decision to move to Austin. read more

This location is my favorite. I moved to Austin two years ago, and my boyfriend and I have been to our fair share of Chili's, but this is our regular spot now. The food is good. Had lunch with friends here last Sunday. You know, you don't go to Chili's to be surprised. You know what you're getting and that is the point. I really like the southwestern eggrolls and am never disappointed. Our group was a total of 7 and we stayed for a while. Sometimes that makes wait staff or management antsy but it didn't this time. My boyfriend and I went there this evening. His food was NOT ok. Mine was pretty good. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad. He ordered that meal that comes with bbq brisket or ribs. He ordered the brisket. It was NOT good or even edible. He took one bite and was done. Our server was very VERY awesome. And of course it wasn't his fault. He did take care of my boyfriends meal. He did an amazing job. We didn't have to ask for anything. He was right on top of things along with the other tables he had to tend too. I don't recommend that brisket. Worst Chili's restaurant I've ever been. Our server seemed ok at first, we rarely saw him after unless it was as he passed by attending to other customers. I had to ask him to get me a drank in between him passing by several times even though I needed a refill several pass-bye's ago. My wife tried to get steak sauce at least 2 times and it wasn't until the manager pass by that she actually got it. When she tried her "well done" steak it was still pink inside. They replaced with a piece of steak straight out of the container and didn't add any seasoning to it. The restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day to add to the fun. I love Chili's. I mean LOVE it. Been going to Chili's my entire life. That is why it pains me you only give this location 2 out of 5 stars. I have been to this location three times in the last two weeks. The first time I went my order was straight up wrong. I ordered a salad to go and when I got home I had a fan. I drove all the way back and got my order corrected and the manager insisted that I took a $5 gift card even though I tried to say no explaining accidents happen. A week later, I went to use my gift card and ordered a quesadilla to go. Once again I got all the way home only to find soggy nachos instead of my quesadilla. I got another $5 gift card, a corrected order, and I went on with my week. I once again ordered the beef bacon quesadillas to go but this time I checked my order before leaving and once again it was wrong. I got some sort of creamy chicken quesadillas. The server went inside to get my corrected order and 15 minutes later came back out with beef quesadillas with no bacon. At this point, I threw my hands up in the air. Sadly I'm going to give up on this location because they used to have much better service, especially to go. Now it is so commonplace it seems, with orders being incorrect that they just hand out $5 gift cards with your orders now. I hate to give up on the location, but when three straight trips in a row over the course of two weeks could not get a one item order correct, I don't know what else to think. I waited to write this review thinking maybe I kept getting a bad team of employees, but every time I have gone there I have seen a different face so I know that can't be the reason why. Anyways, The customer service was great with constant refills and the waiter was very professional and respectful.
