Iwe walked into Chili's this afternoon fora late lunch. In 20 years of coming to this restaurant we had never previously had a bad experience. Until today, When we entered there was no host to greet us so we waited. After several minutes of no one walking up we notice there was no bartender, no server, no manager any where at all. We waited several more minutes while waiting we notice several dirty tables and other patrons who were looking around for staff. I finally walked back to the kitchen and asked a server if we could seat ourselves. He said "let me get these meals out and I will be right there." As I turned to walk back to wait I over heard him make a very rude remark about me. I was really pissed, so we walked out. I don't know if something was off with our server tonight, but it was a horrible experience. I had to get my own ketchup and napkins, and hunt him down for straws. He didn't bring our silverware until halfway through the meal. When I bit into my burger it was bloody red and disgusting. I told him I needed a well-done burger and the second one he brought was just as red! I was at dinner with my friends and a server who was not ours walked up to my table and told me to watch myself because of an old work conflict. we didn't even stay to eat because of the threat. we could clearly hear her and a blonde girl talking bad about me and cussing loudly. Of all the places in Boise to eat, please skip this one. My fourteen year old daughter and I decided to eat dinner out. The host that seated us was lack luster. The waiter showed up and was arrogant and seemed bothered that he had to work. They brought us chips and salsa before we ordered and it was a thin liquid with not a hint of any chunks of tomatoes, or anything. The meal arrived. The chicken was awful, and the corn on the cob that came with the meal was impossible to get the kernels off the cob. While eating, I observed the next table over trying to order desert and their waitress explaining that they ran out if ice cream. The customer had a valid point in mentioning they didn't want to pay full price for a desert that came with ice cream when there was none. She proceeded to say let me go ask my manager. She came back and said there was nothing she could do for them. That the person that worked there was was going to go buy ice cream didn't have a car that day so no ice cream. My waiter then asked me if I wanted desert. Let me look at the menu and never bothered to mention the lack of ice cream. I got my ticket. And noticed the web survey, so I started the survey. The waiter was walking by and said are you really going to fill out the survey. This was THE worst service, THE worst food, and THE worst cleanliness I've had. You could eat anywhere in Boise and do better than this place. Honestly. McDonald's has better service and food than this place. Let me just reiterate. If you want indifferent service, Chili's in Boise is the place for you. Now, if getting a good value and good service is important, try somewhere else, say the Ram. The most recent visit, and my last, I ordered using their Chili's to go service. I had a very specific time for pick up due to a tight schedule that night. When I arrived at the specified time, no one was working the to go station, instead I was told to go to the bar. The bartender knew nothing about the order but say it would be a minute. 21 minutes later, he handed my order and gave a half hearted "sorry about that." The order was not prepared properly so I had to send it back for correction. He wasn't very happy about that. That's too bad, as I usually tip on to go orders and have a soft spot in my heart for servers and bartenders. I worked as one for many years and know what they have to put up with. In this case, it was a glaring lack of concern for their failure. I find myself not willing to spend anymore of my money at Chili's in Boise. When I choose to reward a business with my money, I expect a certain level of service and appreciation for my patronage. Don't bother complaining to their franchisee, Shoot the Moon, LLC. I had tried twice in the past to have my issues at least acknowledged but I have never gotten a response from them. Disappointed by the Chili's employees on the phone. I called to ask what time their happy hour was and due to the call cutting out, I asked again (very politely...I might add) and the lady on the other end said a stern 3-7 with extra sass. I ended the call with a thank you and she just hung up. I have been to the restaurant before and have had great experience with one of the friendly waiters, but the lady's attitude over the phone was just so rude. Food was better this time. Great queso (for Boise) and the service was attentive and really personable. I was really disappointed that they didn't have the cookie cake skillet at this location. It was the only reason I came but I guess they don't have the right kind of oven? I have a certain nostalgia attached to the cookie cake skillet so I was really disappointed when it wasn't there. We went there for lunch yesterday on our lunch hour. Water was brought to our table but we had to ask for menus. Flagged Waitress down after 15 minutes of wating. She never checked in on us to see if we were ready to order. Her area wasn't very busy either.. Mentioned we had to get going & needed to place our order. She said we are always in a hurry & she had other People to take care of & things to do. If she knew we were in a hurry,why did she ignore us? The fresh cipotle chicken salad and table side guacamole were pretty good, but we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. You know what it's like...waiting for your food while watching the people who were seated after you eating their meal... Just sort of a so-so experience. Nothing stood out. The only other Chili's I've been to was in Kennewick and that was a few years ago. Again, wasn't anything there that stood out...that would bring me back for another meal. It's pretty much what you would expect from Chili's. The service was great and the place had a very relaxed feel to it. Unfortunately some of my food was too salty for my taste. As someone who typically doesn't leave reviews, I felt compelled to after meeting Bryce. He simply sat us, and, within 2 minutes, provided more customer service than I usually get from an entire sitting at a 5-star restaurant. I'm currently a manager at a Vegas high-end hotel, and have high expectations of customer service. Bryce exceeded those expectations. The shrimp in my salad were inedible and the only thing Caesar about my salad was the dressing, which was more like ranch mixed with God-knows what. It was vomit inducing. Into the garbage it went. We never even got a table after standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes we left. Several servers looked at us and didn't even acknowledge us. At the end of each semester, my cohort and I would go to Chilies for happy hour. Every time has been great and the service was amazing. This time, however, was very different. My friend and I went the week before for happy hour and told the manager that our cohort (potentially 30 ppl) would come in the following week during happy hour and he told us that it was not a problem. It has NEVER been a problem and they always sat us in the dining area and honored happy hour prices because we could never fit in the bar area. Before we arrived, we called an hour ahead of time to remind them. This last time we were sat in the dining area, our server couldn't get our orders right, she asked someone 3 times what her drink order was, blended mango margarita, within a minute time span. We told her that we wanted split checks, and got almost every single one of those wrong as well. We also noticed that happy hour wasn't honored. When we told her about it, she got a little snappy and told us "Its on there clearly, we never honor it unless it's in the bar, sorry". If it's that big of a problem, we should have gotten sat in the bar area bc I specifically asked for it. Anyways, she charged my card wrong 2 times and then gave me some of her cash tips to compensate instead of going back into Aloha, fixing it, and reringing in my order. Shes was a horrible server. Some of us in the group were servers and so we were trying to feel for her, but Aloha is literally the easiest system to in the food industry and there is no reason to have horrible service and this many mistakes. read more

My steak was rarer than a three toed sloth chasing a cheetah. I will never come back to this location and when he brought us the stuff he forgot he acted like he didn't know he forgot something. Where do I start? We did not get any napkins with our dinner. They forgot one of our groups order not once but 3 times. She got her food after we had almost finished eating. The made my order wrong. I ordered the turkey club. I expect more from a subway sandwich, it was a gross sandwich. They forgot our order of beer and then they tried to charge us for extra beers. I stopped by with my two boys on New Year's Eve at 6:30 PM and told the host we would just be getting dessert. About 1/3 of the tables were empty. After much whispering and bustling around by staff, a manager came over and told me their "servers were really stressed" and he offered to put us on a "15 minute hold". Haven't been a big fan of Chili's in the past, especially this location. However, it's close to my office, so when there is a group function, we will often go there for lunch. Today was my daughter's birthday and she likes their wings, so that's where she wanted to go. I have to say, they nailed it today! I had the spicy shrimp tacos and they were fabulous - almost as good as Tin Roof Tacos. The real bonus, though, was our waiter. He was outstanding. I can't remember his name, but he had several horror movie tattoos. I'm a huge fan or horror movies, so I noticed. Plus, it's hard not to notice someone providing excellent service. He checked on us the right amount of times to make sure we had what we heeded without becoming annoying. My son in law said his burger was great and my daughter loved her wings. Lots of good times were had at this place during the good ol' college years. Whether it was the beer tent during college gamedays or a place to eat after a concert at Taco Bell, I never had a bad experience here. Not to mention a place to have some brew at a bar without having to choke on the smoky smog that tends to co-exist. Great service & food. My sister & i were greeted by Ken(turned out to be mgr.). Served by Nicole, attentive, attractive & adequate. An Unexpected good dining experience. As been Remodeled since last here. Ken began the good attitude & Nicole continued it. The salad was fine. Appetizers delicious....All. Ribeye scrumptious with loaded potato too! Food is exactly what you'd expect which made us happy. Had a young guy w glasses serve us, and was very nice. I hate hate hate the little tablet like devices on the tables. I get we are in 2016 now but coommme on electronics on the table I can't. Just let the server swipe our card and save us another screen added to our day.
