My family and I had all but given up on this particular Chilis location. It was always incredibly under staffed. I had to watch the poor host run herself ragged trying to wait tables and host running back and forth. This often caused the restaurant to understandably struggle. Food was not good. Tbh don't know what I expected, but it's the expected microwave food quality. Fried chicken was poor quality pieces of meat, ribs dry and thin, steamed broccoli mushy. Also, the service was just weird. Waitress constantly messed up orders. A mixed drink was brought with just the liquor and then when they fixed it they brought everything in separate glasses for him to mix himself. Then when they came for empty plates, they asked us to stack them. Like I can see asking us to pass plates over if they can't reach them and that's fine, but when you just show up and tell us to stack the plates ourselves without even grabbing the ones an inch from your hand that is lazy. Then they got mad because we didn't stack them how they wanted and had to restack the plates themself. People eat out because they want a good meal or a nice dining experience. I need to start by saying lately Chili's seems to be struggling, it's either they can't hire good help, the help is not friendly, or to me there in a funk! And let me say they need to re-invent themselves on somethings. They use to be good at this and it was alway fun to see new tweaks to there menu.. I remember there buffalo cauliflower with ranch. It was an amazing app to order. But it just disappeared. Now don't get me wrong there food is good, the crispers are always great, the chips and dip on par with everyone else's. But they need to revamp and make it exciting to come to chili's again. Be bold play around with ideas. Wow our taste buds and make us talk. That being said I had something new I had the shrimp tacos with rice and beans, and first I love here beans. Amazing flavor for beans great seasoning and flavor. For the oddest reason my wife has this infatuation with Chilli's. So I give in and go. We went to the one last year in the University section and it was unstaffed and numerous uncleaned tables. Jarron was our waiter. The food came out super quick and was very good. We both had triple deckers. But the one thing I still find disturbing is the tables. When we arrived, the host said he needed to clean a table before we sat down. Ok?? Thought nothing of it. I walk by and there were at least 2 tables that were left unclean the whole time we were there and remained that way as we were leaving. I'm assuming Chilli's doesn't staff people to handle that. Which leaves me under the assumption that they don't see the need to clean the table until it is actually needed. After we ate, there were several parties that were waiting to be seating. I didn't understand. Clear and clean the tables, seat people, make money. What is so hard about that?? read more

Craved shrimp pasta and came across Chili's awesome deal of 3 for $10 = appetizer, entree, & drink. In an attempt to nourish my cells with some veggies, I ordered a house side salad. BIG MISTAKE. As soon as I dumped my salad onto my container, I noticed a huge piece of lettuce that was rotten and black! Their salads definitely failed the fresh test. However, the Cajun shrimp pasta was decent. I should have known better by the 2 Star rating but sometimes you want a decent inexpensive meal. Well we definitely got the inexpensive part but definitely not the decent part. We had chili cheese fries, the oil they cooked them in had a dirty oil taste. As entrees we ordered shrimp tacos and my husband had the chicken tacos. When we received our food it was cold, cold like not even Luke warm. They also didn't have much flavor and were soggy. Our utensils had food coated on them and looked unwashed so we asked for plastic utensil mind you we NEVER do that! The best thing about all this was definitely the chili that was on top of the fries, for sure! Service was horribly slow(they were not busy our server only had 2 tables) and she seemed frustrated that we told her our food was cold and sent it back. Also food was brought back out by a manager that said nothing just dropped the food off. A nice "sorry-about that" would have been appreciated. When you check in on the app and get in line the hostess and the manager give your table away a minute after you get a text that your table is ready and expect you to wait another 10 minutes for a table. I'm addicted to the beef nachos so that's the only reason why we come here. I once had to call the manager while waiting for a hostess and ask if anyone was working up front because we had been waiting for someone. Went in for a late night snack and drink, I started out with the Tex mex egg rolls. Very good , had the black bean corn chicken , fried to perfection and paired with an aioli sauce . For my entree I had a Santa Fe burger , that was surprisingly delicious. It had some type of southwest chipotle sauce , raw purple onion, tomato , lettuce , pepper jack cheese and jalapeños crumbles. The meat was seasoned well , the temperature I enjoy was medium (little pink in center) , it was served in a brioche toasted bun , just sooooooo flavorful. The hostess sat us right next to a large group of noisy guys in a nearly empty restaurant. When we asked to move one table away, she disgustedly moved us, tossed down our menus, and walked away without a word or a glance. The restaurant was dirty: the table, the windows, yuck.
