One day my car broke down and cell phone died. I tried taking a bus home and got caught in the rain. After one of the worst days of my life I went into chilis to eat before trying to find a way home. The girl at Togo counter was a life saver. she brought me extra chips, a togo cup, and charged my phone And talked to me for a few minutes and just made me feel 10x better. this lady completely changed my day around and went so far out of her way for me. I have seen her again and have told her how much I appreciated her compassion towards me. To the owner. We were at your restaurant at 1:45 today for lunch and hoping for a good burger. The young lady who was the hostess started to seat us at the bar. I asked if we could have another table as we didn't feel comfortable in that area and she just said no even though you had a whole dining area with no one in it. Too bad you lost our business as we are now seated in Red Robin and not in the bar area. You might remember not all people come in to drink or are comfortable in that area. What I received was a poor excuse for any burger. See pics. Partly burnt, No bacon, 1.5 pieces of onion blossom and barely any of the accompanying items listed in the sandwich's description, and no side of original BBQ sauce. So after an exciting evening with the family I decided to go to chilis (Northlake location) we ordered food had our drinks and continued to make the best of the evening service was extremely slow, the waitresses were ghosts at times. So when it came time to pay I gave the waitress (Tiffany) a bundle of 1's totaling one hundred dollars and 9 single 1's as the bill was 109.54$ shortly after another waitress came back and said "she said you were short and you only gave her 89.00$" (Puzzled) I told her there must be a mistake she then went to the back of the store to get a manager (Mind you I carry fresh bundles of ones often and I get them directly from a bank with the 100$ band wrapped around them) the manager the counts the money in-front of me and says "Idk what happened she just said it was short" in my head I'm like "You're telling me a bank machine miscounted" After a few words I simply just gave them an extra twenty dollars and left with my family I can't believe people do anything for money. I will not be back to any chilis after this incident absolutely blown by what happened and I also will be contacting corporate in the morning. I do not recommend anyone eat at this place.... My. Steak. Was. Over. Cooked. I visited this Chili's for my neice's 13th birthday and I was really looking forward to a perfectly cooked steak. But having a large party sometimes leads to food not being prepared correctly. I was disappointed when my medium rare steak came out well done. Two of my family members also received the wrong sides. By the time my refired steak came out it was the perfect temperature, but everyone was done eating. I thought I should have received a discount but none was to be had. We decided to stop in after doing some shopping and we were really hungry so we decided to give the 2 for $20 a try but we decided to Ante Up! And get an appetizer, two entrees, two margaritas and a dessert for $35! For starters let's get to the drinks! Yummy! Margaritas either frozen or on the rocks any flavor you want! I opted for the Pomegranate one on the rocks and my friend chose the frozen Strawberry. What I learned was when the bartender is your waiter...your drinks come out awesome! These were not all mix and no liquor she poured it in those drinks and they were awesome! For our appetizer we tried the Texas Cheese Fries Topped with chili, jalapeños, green onions and finished with applewood smoked bacon. Served with ranch dressing. When you have bacon, cheese and fries how can you go wrong! My only complaint is that the portion size wasn't big enough! They were simply delicious but the little pan they bring them out in is a joke...especially when like us...you're starving! For the meal, I chose the chicken fajitas...the fajitas came out hot and steaming just like I like them! The chicken was hot, flavor was good, came with 3 tortillas and a side of lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo and guac! My friend chose the ribs...with the original sauce...the meat was practically falling off the bone and it was delicious! I knew that my friend enjoyed it because she always slapped my fingers away when I tried to get a second bite! Instead of the fries she chose the steamed broccoli which was a little dry, but edible. I like Chili's pretty okay. When you give me a list of big-name chain restaurants for dinner it's usually my choice numero uno. This one in particular is hardly ever packed, even on game nights. The menu is as reliable as you come to expect from a chain restaurant. Staff is decent - bar staff is always most responsive. Perhaps because they get tipped heavier and know that communication will be a way to "up the ante". I like the food especially because of the great variety here. You've got everything from sandwiches to large plate entrees and the like with Tex-Mex being the standard theme here. Excellent desserts - the skillet cookie with ice cream to be specific. I get a hankering for one of these from time to time and will literally go here just for a beer (usually a local grab from OMB) and the skillet cookie. I also love the mex-bowls because of the variety of ingredients all mixed up together. Ten-year-old me would've hated that stuff but even then I had their chicken crispers with corn on the cob and loaded mashed potatoes to chow down on. So again, huge variety, regularly changing/updated menu, good bar staff and a relaxing atmosphere. I loved the Chili's in North-western Greensboro, and one of my favorite dishes anywhere was the Margarita Chicken. So I decided to try the Chili's at Northlake Mall in Charlotte since I've lived here for a few years now. I went last Sunday, and there was a 15-minute wait at 3:00 in the afternoon, which was bizarre, so I went to Chipotle's instead. I tried again this Sunday at around 1, and there were people waiting (??) even though very few tables were actually full. I asked to be seated at the bar, and the hostess immediately led me to a table by the bar. Within a minute tops, Tiffany, my server, came to take my order. She was very nice, and I apologize for not leaving a tip. Tiffany, you were wonderful. I asked for a Blue Moon on tap and the Margarite Chicken. Within two minutes or so, Tiffany had already brought my beer. And then a minute or so later, a runner brought me my chicken. It was obvious the dinner - which costs $12.99 if I remember the menu correctly - had been sitting around for a while, long before I even entered the "restaurant". The chicken was pale and looked unappetizing, the "bed" of rice and beans was skimpy and runny, sitting in a pool of liquid, and the tortilla strips numbered exactly three. The runner who brought me the dinner didn't set it down; it was pretty obvious that she was waiting for me to accept it first. I refused the dinner and immediately asked Tiffany, who was behind the bar, for my ticket. I told her I wanted to pay for my beer and leave, and she immediately rang up my ticket. Again, I apologize for not leaving her a ticket. I couldn't ask for a more attentive server, and I hate that I was so upset I didn't leave a tip when she truly deserved one. I will never go back to this Chili's. I still can picture that pale, barely cooked chicken on a sparse spoonful of rice and beans, and it makes me angry. NO ONE should be treated like I was treated. Serving me someone else's rejected meal, a meal that wouldn't even be acceptable being served by McDonald's or Burger King, that isn't right. What a horrible, horrible place. read more

Wow 100 reviews! Hate it had to be a negative one but it is what it is. Food was good but omg this visit was crazy. What in the world is going on a random Wednesday. No hostess. I had to get the bartender to seat me after i waited for a long time because I was being patient. And the other people were just waiting around and they said they were there awhile before us. We should have read the reviews first. My poopsikins and I LOVE Chili's. We used to go to one every weekend and enjoyed all the entrees and apps and the other great things at Chili's. Then we moved to Charlotte. We lived right next to one and thought, "Oh man, did we luck out!" Not quite. Our first experience was "to-go," as the kids say. We waited outside for close to a half hour in the designated pick up spot. I was told online to wait there. But I got tired of waiting and it turns out it had been prepped and ready to go the entire time with no warning or attempt to reach us. Then the food was not up to par. My sandwich was #SOAKED and our southwestern egg roll order only featured two rolls. We NATURALLY complained and were granted $20 in gift cards by corporate to give the location another try. SO WE DID. We sat in this time. We were seated and waited up to 10 minutes for our server to even introduce themselves and get us drinks. It's not like the place was busy on a Friday afternoon before the work rush. THEN, heh, this is the kicker - we order the 2 for $22 and we got our entrees before our cheese fries appetizer. The cheese fries were #GROSS, dry and stale - and our entrees were not up to the high bar we hold Chili's to. We had about four different staff at our table delivering us food and drinks and checking on us - CONFUSING. Got takeout from Chili's and was pretty disappointed with the meal. Ordered the big mouth bites as they're one of my favorites from Chili's, but these were poorly done. There was no ranch so they ended up being very dry. They also forgot to add the onions, so it only had half the ingredients. My girlfriend got the southwestern chicken salad salad, and the tomatoes and cheese were non-existent. Add the fact that we sat in the car for 20 minutes because there was no carry out and the people running the curbside were incredibly slow, so our food was cold by the time we got home to eat it (not that it mattered for the salad but it did for the burgers and fries). For a chain, it was good. My wife and I usually try to stick with to local places, but every once and a while, we will go to a classic franchise. I got the fajitas with added cheese and my wife got the sampler the southwest egg rolls, chicken tenders and boneless wings. First of all, my wife believes that the Southwestern Eggrolls are a go to. I do agree they are good. Everything was as you would expect. Good, but not the best you ever had. The tenders and boneless wings were good. Not the best I have had of either, but also not disappointing either. The Fajitas were good. I am not usually a fan of fajitas, but with the build your own and with cheese, it is great. I recommend it if you are a Chili's fan. The appetizer sampler is good as well. Franchises like this are great for getting drinks and enjoying a sports event. I have come here multiple times and when I say multiple I mean like at least 10 or more. Every time whether it is at 3pm (slow time) or 7pm (busy time) I have the worst service these lunches or dinners that should only take an hour and a half tops seem to take 3 hours plus! The staff is extremely slow and always seem to be rushed maybe there just short staffed I'm not sure and the one manager is not very helpful. I complained once and (having been in the restaurant industry for 15 years it takes a lot for me to ever say anything because I get it) she just said o sorry we are very busy she should have at least comp a drink or dessert. I complained because my sons hot fudge sundae came out melted literally melted ice cream they served! She did not even ask if we wanted a new one. I always loved Chilis but my wife isn't to fond of them. She suggested we go last night because we had a gift card and was hoping to change her mind about the place since I enjoyed it. We will never ever go back to this location and may never go back at all. Service was terrible. Waitress had an attitude from moment we sat down. She Took our order, made the horrendous table side guacamole and that was last we saw of her until we were ready to pay and leave. We had to flag down others for silverware, find napkins, never got a refill on drinks as waitstaff didn't pass by our table in general. My ribs were dry, my wife's crispy chicken thing was terrible, corn on cob texture was chewy and so much salt to hide the flavor it was non eatable. Never go here. Chilis should be embarrassed by this location and shut it down immediately, afterwards we went to a movie and then came home. I choose Chili's and he really wanted the Honey-Chipotle Crispers & Waffles so, we decided to order online and do a pick up. I ordered the Santa Fe Crispers Salad and i paid extra for avocado & ranch dressing. It was a curbside pick-up but they never came out, so i went in. When i got home i was disappointed. Some of my lettuce was wilted, i had brown avocado, and didn't get extra and no ranch dressing what so ever, it wasn't a salad, hardly no tomatoes. It wasn't what was pictured at all for over $12.00. I could have made much better at home for cheaper. I call only to get hung up on 4x, no hello or nothing just kept hanging up. I wasn't going to drive back out at night all the way to Chili's. Chili's use to be good and some restaurant in general and it seems like they stop caring and trying to please and make the customer happy. That is what we go out for, that experience. My family came to chili's on 3/18/17 to celebrate the life of my mother and we did have a fairly big party. We all arrived at abt 3:00p and was told it would be a 30 min wait. Ok, no problem. The location was understaffed and had only abt 3 servers working. The location was not cleaned because of the amount of servers. Most of the tables were empty but piled dishes still left on the tables from the last parties sitting there. At about 430p the manager comes to apologize about the wait and stated it would be another hour until more staff came in and gave out $5 gift cards to two people, but should've given everyone in the party one because everyone was all waiting at the same time. We did tell the manager that it didn't matter if we sat together or not because we knew it was a lot of us. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant. It used to be an overall good spot to go to. I enjoy the house margaritas. The service has truly went down hill. I only gave two stars for the attempt of the two gift cards.
