I was there last night and the server Abraham was very rude... We waited for our order a long time when he finally came to our table he literally said "I'm sorry guys I seriously forgot about you"... At the end of my transaction a survey pops up and I started to fill it out ... When all of a sudden Abraham comes back and turns the screen away from me as he says "if I get a bad review my hours will be cut" and started changing my answers, having no respect to me as a customer.. It was the worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life (the most disgusting attitude I've seen in a person) I work in the food industry too so I know how stressful it can get.. This has got to be the worst Chili's in the county -- hell, maybe even the country! Customer service is sub-par from the second you walk in. The woman who writes down your name isn't very good at noticing when people are standing right in front of her, so I suggest trying to grab a seat in the bar -- the servers in there are quicker and more attentive than those out in the dining area of the restaurant. But if that's not possible, then wait your turn for a regular table. Now, don't be surprised if people who arrived after you get seated before you. That just happens here. Then you'll finally sit down and get to order food. Now overall, Chili's is overpriced considering most of the menu items are pre-cooked and not so great. But they do have liquor, so there's that... Depending on your server, they'll either be attentive and refill your drink or they'll ignore the hell out of you and leave you hanging. Thank goodness for the new little things on the table where you can pay your tab and get going -- I've waited 20 minutes for my bill before! The staff is friendly ... but this place is not clean at all... I honestly feel like you guys microwave food..i order a pretzel with cheese. One of the nicer Chili's restaurants I've frequented! It was clean, food was good, and the service was attentive. I had the watermelon lemonade as a beverage and thought it was excellent. Split chips & salsa as an appetizer and had the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas as an entree; I was thoroughly satisfied with my meal. My wife had fajitas and I was pleased to see that they served them to us while it was still sizzling (side note, I've been to a Chili's before where they stopped serving the fajitas like that and it was horrible). I like this location, they have TVs positioned perfectly throughout the restaurant so that everyone can watch the games. I love the southwestern egg rolls and I really liked the mushroom burger but sadly it's no longer on the menu. They changed the burgers around and I had one of their new burgers but I have yet to decide what I think of the changes. I've visited this establishment several times. On my most recent visit while waiting for our waitress, a roach crawled across the table. I killed the roach with a ketchup bottle and informed the waitress. Manager came over, I informed him of the roach and pointed to the dead roach that I just killed. He went to the kitchen and came back to put the roach in a container then said he had to contact "his guy". That was it, he then went back to the kitchen. read more

This place has always been a go to of mine for the rib eye. I haven't tried a lot of their menu because I'm literally stuck on that. Especially when it's served with quinoa and asparagus. Of course like any steak prepared it can sometimes be overcooked or undercooked (which I prefer that latter vs. the former). Simply let your server know and they'll have a new one ready for you without any stress. The environment is definitely family friendly and there's loads of options to choose from on the menu for both food and drinks. Their appetizers are big enough to be meals on their own and the staff is super friendly. Definitely a favorite go to place of mine and the kids. read more

Went in there for lunch today. They have that bottomless soup and salad deal. Comes w/ chips & salsa, choice of unlimited soup & salad. Salad & chips were good but my soup was kinda cold! Eek for cold soup! My boyfriend's soup was way warmer. Not sure if it was because of the type of soup I ordered. I had the Cheesy Enchilada soup and my boyfriend had the baked potato soup. Okay, I always knew at the back of my head that Chilis didn't have the freshest foods (aka many microwaved and frozen foods) but it didn't become a reality to me until yesterday. Let me start by saying the service is always really good. Yesterday, when our food was brought out a couple of items were missing, but the staff made sure we were satisfied and got right to getting the rest of our food as fast as they could. The last thing was the soup. The soup!!! We needed our chicken enchilada soup still and our server's response was "the soup is still defrosting." Im currently at Chili's as we speak with my 8 year old daughter and her friend. We went to see a current movie and have stopped in to Chili's for a post movie bite. There weren't many people in the lobby but we still had a bit of a wait. When the hostess did seat us, she put us at a table facing the western sky as the sun was in the west which would have been ok but the window shade was broken so I literally stood at the table for about 5 minutes until a waitress (not the hostess) asked me if we wanted to change tables due to the missing window shade. Our server who I will just call "Ms. L" seems pleasant so far. We started with appetizers: "Southwestern Egg Rolls" for which I have two, no actually three words for. Sirache sauce PLEASE! I have to be honest, I'm not impressed with these egg rolls. They taste like they came straight from a cardboard box, to the Microwave and then to our table. I will update this review as we go but so far I'm thinking a 2 1/2 stars. 8/1/16 Ok, I'm back. I know it's nine days later but honestly it felt like we waited that long for our food to arrive which again seemed odd to me considering that Chili's was not that busy nor crowded on this particular night. So on to the food. I ordered a fettucini pasta dish with chicken ( if they used a whole chicken breast in my dish then my name is Popeye the Sailor and that is CLEARLY not my name!). The dish was okay. It was a decent sized portion of food but again, I would have liked to have had the whole chicken breast in the pasta not just five or six tiny slices! (Maybe they use Cornish Hen breast.). My daughter and her friend ordered burgers and fries. They seemed please with their selections but come on, it's not too hard to mess up burgers and fries. Maybe Chili's just had an off night but this go round I can only give then 2 1/2 starts due to a combination of mediocre food and the lack of quickness on pushing orders out of the kitchen and to the customers tables. read more

This store needs help! The place is not as clean and could use a really good cleaning. The tables, seats, and floor were dirty. There was dust on the wooden tops also! The screens for the table devices were filthy and soo disgusting to touch. The server had great customer service and that's where 2 of my stars come from (the other for the corn). My family came in for dinner and we decided to sit in the bar area. Once taking our drink order, the server (Jennifer), proceeded to completely ignore us for the rest of our visit. We had to flag her down 10 min after we received our drinks to place our food order. It then took another 45 min for our food to arrive at our table. We watched Jennifer visit other tables multiple times but not once did she stop by to tell us our food was on it's way or ask us how the food was once we finally received it. We again had to flag her down in order to get the check. After a very looooong week of work, I really didn't feel like cooking. The sudden onset of cold weather (yeah, yeah low 60s is cold in SD) had me craving soup. Didn't feel like going anywhere so I decided to try Chilli's to-go service. They are just 2 blocks from my home. First it took me almost 15 minutes just to place my phone order. Their app doesn't allow for "no onion", lol. I went on their press # merry-go-round, after several attempts I ended up pushing 0 and got to a live person. She proceeded to take my order but then put me on perpetual hold when I asked how long it would take. I had ordered 1 bowl enchilada soup, 1 bowl SW chicken soup, chips & salsa and Philly cheesesteak sandwich no onions or peppers (I requested extra meat and cheese on sandwich and volunteered to pay extra). They put onions on the sandwich the manager told me they'd make a new sandwich. While waiting he rang up the remainder of the order. Upon review they had charged me for 3 soups. The manager took the extra soup off my charges but let me keep the soup (oh joy!) By the time I got home all of the food, except the sandwich, was cold. I had to nuke the soups. SW chicken soup was tasty. Enchilada soup was too salty. Sandwich was just sad, wish I could post pic. Chips were perfect. I do think the manager did discount my order but I am not sure. He "forgot" to give me the itemized receipt. From my CC I think he may have discounted $3. I am hoping that this wasn't my day at Chilli's. I may give them another chance on a less busy night. I am hopeful because they are really convenient for me. read more

Had a wonderful time with the family celebrating 40 years together for mom and Dad. Everyone and I mean everyone came together and congratulated my parents with a cake and candles. Horrible service.. I arrived, and the host Spencer already seemed annoyed. There was a party of 30 and everyone seemed to be frustrated. We got seated within 10min, the table was uncomfortable and small so I asked if we may have a booth. There was about 2-3 larger booths and it became such a big deal. His response "sorry, she already has a table of 30 and we currently aren't seating anyone" my question is when this place gets super busy how do you they not get the guest in and out? The whole thing didn't make sense but a party of 4 was seated in the same area.. Spencers whole demeanor was unprofessional, sarcastic, and not the slightest of friendly. I don't understand why he was so bothered we wanted another table. It really wasn't that busy. Coming from a corporate office of a restaurant chain--it just made me disappointed, where are the high standards of guest service? read more

Third time I've been here and it didn't turn out good, fit the third time. Guess that's it for me. 20 minutes to get water and coffee. Another 20 minutes to get our appetizers, boneless wings, and soup. The soup came warm, not hot. Coffee came warm, not hot. Peach cobbler came warm, not hot. The queso chip came perfect! I must give credit to the manager though, she came apologized and did everything she could to take care of things. This was my first experience coming to Chili's by Otay Ranch Mall. The food was good. It was the service that was trash. Our waiter was nice but the rest of the staff was rude. We called an hour ahead for a group of 12. When we walked in, not one worker greeted us, not even the hostess. They just gave us dirty looks and after 10 minutes of standing there someone decided to let us know they were setting up our table. Wait time for the food was reasonable. One of our orders came almost 45 minutes after we told the waiter. When the order came the shrimp was undercooked which is dangerous. The waiter had it fixed. Won't be coming back to this certain Chili's. Reason for this is because of rude staff. read more

Worst service ever from the moment we walked in. We placed our name on the waiting list, which the host told us it's a 20 minute wait. We sat down and waited for 30 minutes until I noticed that those that came in after us were being seated. My husband asked the host when we would be called and ended up he never placed our name on the waiting list! After that, we got seated right of way. Our server greeted us immediatley and took our order in a timely manner. But, she forgot my sons ice tea and the wait to get our food was extremely long. We finally got our food, but we didn't get all of what we ordered. My husband didn't get his salad and I didn't get the rice and beans. We had to ask our server for it. What an amazing time I had at Chillis with my family. We were at party of 6 , 4 adults and two kids, we got seated right out way. Our server patty was really enthusiastic and attentive. She offered us the new Summer drinks. My sister in law loved the coconut one and my husband and I loved the blue Cuervo margarita. I think they're were kinda strong for the price . Went there many times and bar was fine but crowded... last Saturday at 1:30ish pm I was upset because the bar only had 5 customers. My girlfriend and sat down at the bar and the bartender didn't even apologize for the mess. He didn't even lift a finger to clean one glass. We moved to a table that was cleaned as we waited.
