Downhill from the last time we were there. The hostess sat our group of 4 in a corner, under a TV with 2 of us looking at a wall - what was wrong with all those window tables we walked by? Oh, they seat 6 and we were only 4. Come on, Tuesday night dinner at 7p - probably not going to get 8 groups of 6 in the next hour. Strike 1. Waitress was nice but couldn't describe the drafts and when she delivered mine, it wasn't what I ordered, even though she claimed it was. I've never had an IPA from a craft brewery that I'm very familiar with that tastes like Bud Light. Strike 2. We ordered bottomless chips & salsa and 4 different dishes. When do you think the chips showed up? That's right! Same time as the meal. Strike 3. And for a bonus, from my vantage point, I could see the row of 3 other tables along the wall. As each group paid their bill, the butts were barely out of their seats before she was scooping up the bill and pulling out her tip. Glad I paid with their desk top kiosk - wonder how long it took for her to look online at our payment. That's a BONUS Strike! Unfortunately, I'd over look a lot of the above if the food was great. I've had better Mexican elsewhere. At least my son said his ribeye was done right and tasted good. My wife didn't think her salad was very fresh. The cheese for my fajitas was dried and crispy while there were 4 slices of peppers to go along with a host of onions. Our daughter thought her chicken soft tacos were fair but compared them to Taco Bell when I pressed for details. Sorry Chili's. You're slipping. First time eating at Chili's and we waited a really long time to get our food. Usually I wouldn't complain, but it was ridiculous. We went on a Friday, so maybe that's why it's so busy, but even then it was too long. I guess someone dipped without paying, so most of the workers were trying to figure out who the person was by viewing the security tapes. I enjoyed my food though. I Ordered the Fajitas and they no longer come with a sizzling plate- cause the steak was par boiled not grilled and was Purple. I sent it back and literally they brought back something just as repulsive. The boats for the toppings were pre packed and the juice from the sour cream was all runny. They were just such a Disappointment. My mouth tastes like charcoal. I found $30 worth of Chili's gift cards in my desk, so, since we were out in Concord, decided to have lunch there. Compliment first. Our server was excellent. Knowledgeable, funny, checked in. Good service, thank you. But, I ordered crispers, asparagus, and onion rings. Husband had beef fajitas. They were ok he says. Everything on my plate tasted like it had been cooked on a badly washed cast iron griddle. Charcoal and rancid oil. The asparagus was not trimmed and was raw. Still tasted bad. I've been a fan of Chili's for almost twelve years. Chili's over Applebee's, Outback or Chevy's without hesitation. I'm sadden to hear the closing of various locations due to the economic climate. I really wish they would open one in the East Bay (Pinole, San Pablo, Emeryville) but Concord will due. I've visited this location a handful of times and every time I can expect: quick service, friendly staff, quality food, reasonable prices, and a good atmosphere. Their menu rotates maybe once a year for variety and new entree additions. Their signature item is of course their Baby Back Ribs which continues to be a great deal, in my opinion. For $16 you get a full rack of ribs and two side orders, enough for two people or one big guy. These rough times have led the company to run a 2 for $20 deal. Two people can enjoy a appetizer, two entrees, and a desert for just $20. A great deal for the cash strapped student/couple. Lastly, the service is always top notch with very few flaws for a corporate chain. The young staff is eager to please as they sweat bullets for their tips and minimum wage. I appreciate their fast and friendly service and always tip at least 20% but if service is lacking (rarely), I'll tip 15%. For the decade plus that I've been a patron of Chili's, I've never been truly disappointed. If only other food chains followed likewise, we'd have much better restaurant chains to choose from. read more

I recently went here to come and eat on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty packed but we did get seated right away. The location of this Chili's is kinda of random it's near a motel and also near the Mount Diablo high school. Service here is pretty good but idk it depends on how crowded it is. Our waitress was good on maintaining our food and drinks and she was very nice. The restaurant it's self is ok/good on cleanliness I did see some sticky spots on the ground and also some of the booths were still filled with crumbs which was sort of disgusting.. But the good thing is that the bathrooms were well kept and clean. This Chili's does have a "Chili's To Go stand inside the restaurant (it's right in the corner) and we were seated couple seats down where it was and I was surprised on how many people showed up to pick up there food and leave. There was a line (just like 2 or 3 people) but other than that there wasn't any slow service or like a line out the door so it wasn't that crazy. Last but not least, the food and appetizers were well made and were good. I only gave it 4 stars because the restaurant wasn't cleaned that well and for a restaurant or even a Chili's like that that's sort of sad. :/ OTHER: Parking space is pretty huge so don't worry about parking and also try the California flatbread for appetizers. read more

I've been to different Chili's locations several times before but this is my first time at this specific location. This is also my first time absolutely loving every single thing we ordered in any Chili's before. My boyfriend and I came in for an early dinner on a Monday night. We ended up doing the $35 dinner for two. This comes with two margaritas, an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert (such a great deal). For our drinks, I got a classic strawberry margarita (additional $0.50) and my boyfriend got the platinum Presidente margarita (additional $2). I absolutely LOVED both drinks. Best margaritas I've had in a while. Most of the time, when I get margaritas, they are either too watery or it seems like it's just straight up alcohol. Our drinks today were so perfectly made. For appetizer, we got the guac and chips, which were amazing as well. For entree, my boyfriend got the classic bacon burger and I got the cajun chicken pasta. The pasta was soooo good! The alfredo sauce was perfect (not bland and very creamy). And for dessert, we got the skillet toffee fudge brownie. By the time we got to dessert, I was pretty buzzed already yet I could still clearly remember how amazing this dessert tasted. Overall, a very great experience. NEVER again. I used to love going to Chili's. Finally got to come by without having to wait 30+ minutes and yet it still took over 2 hours. The food was horrendous. Like, HORRENDOUS. It was so bad that even if you're only a host/hostess there, you should be arrested for conspiracy of murder by poisoning. The fajitas tasted like rubber, the nachos were stale, and the only thing that was good to eat was the molten cake. They were out of everything else. No chips for skillet queso, no straws and they had a "spoon shortage." I heard a lot of "sorry, we're out of that," from other tables who were ordering items off of the menu. I went yesterday and still today I feel sick. I've ran to the bathroom 10 times today alone. The waitress was cool so I'm not gonna belittle her, but overall this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The dining experience at this location was one of the worst I've ever experienced. Upon arriving I was told it would take ten minutes to be seated and it actually took thirty. After being seated it took another 20 minutes before the server (Steve) took our drink order. The table next to us arrived far later than we did and they received their food 15 minutes before we did. When we finally received our food the order was completely wrong. At this point I told the waiter I did not want a replacement and he could take the food back. This location has no redeeming qualities and it is my firm and honest recommendation that this establishment close its doors forever. This place is horrible now, post-covid. We waited for 10 mins to be seated and the place was empty. Finally decided to seat ourselves. After waiting another 5 mins, we stopped someone and asked for a menu, and was told there are no menu's. In order to view a menu, you have to have an IPhone to scan a code. We had to use our phones and search for an online menu to order. After about 40 mins of being here, we were finally able to place a order. If I didn't have my hungry kids with me, I would have left. After seeing several other customers walk out. I wish we would have too. Now I know why they were so empty when we arrived. When it was time to order, I asked for the "special" Halloween drink that was advertised online for the kids, she brought us back sprites. I have eaten at Chili's before and its been a few years since the last time because I was always so underwhelmed. This time though we had a fantastic experience! First was our waiter Jonathan. Now if you read any of my other review you know I love ranch. So naturally I asked for a side of ranch with my dinner and you know what Jonathan does? He brings me 2! Now I know this is so he doesnt have to get another when I inevitably ask again but its also a great customer service move. He was always ontop of our table checking in several times and doing it with a smile. Cutoos to him. We ordered a 2 for 25 meal and 3 for 10 meal. Both great deals and with good options to choose from! We started with chips and salsa and the blossom petals. I love their chips and salsa. The chips are thin and super crispy! The blossom petals were a nice play on onion rings but I do have to say I want more crunch. For my meal I ordered the honey chipotle chicken crispers and subed my corn side for more fries. Yummy! Super crispy chicken with a sweet but slightly spicy sauce. It was a lot of food so I got to enjoy it for 2 days! This Chili's location has seriously stepped up its game. I used to frequent this location weekly for years since 2009. Over the years the food prices seemed to go up as the quality, atmosphere and service went down. I stopped by this weekend after not having visited all of 2017. I was pleasantly surprised. Despite coming to a busy dining room at 6:30 on a Saturday night we were sat in less than 10 minutes. Our server was prompt and very friendly. Our drinks came very quickly as did our appetizer. Our food was served very hot and the quality far surpasses anything I have gotten from Chili's in the past few years. 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees resulted in our bill being a modest $62 pre-tip. This Chili's will be back on my list of affordable, quick dining options in the future :) read more

Not really review worthy... but since yelp wants me to write about my experience I guess I will. Chili's has never been anything more than satisfactory. In fact there's not a thing I've tried on the menu that I'm excited about. The salad I ordered last night was brown around the edges. The Santa Fe sauce was really sweet and tangy. It was smothered in dressing hard to enjoy. I ate the chicken off the top and a couple of the quesadilla slices from the side. And all honesty it was a waste of money. Thank God there was a margarita to drown it down. Honestly if you're going to eat at Chili's I would say order a drink and check out the appetizers but don't go beyond that. The menu will leave you with an upset stomach and a case of butt water in the fallowing hours. I've given Chili's several tries throughout the last decade or so of my life and have yet to say I've tried anything there that I find outstanding. I wish I had something nice to say about chilies other than their drinks are good. This is an establishment that provides healthy or kosher meals. With this last experience and the terribly soaked and unsatisfying salad, I'm afraid to say finally I hope it's my last. I don't wish to waste anymore money here. I would've been happier with a meal Wendy's. It's a bummer I wasted 15 bucks on an unsatisfactory salad that I couldn't seem to eat. The server kept checking to see if we needed anything even though the restaurant was pretty packed. There were other servers that also checked on us. Great food and excellent service. As we were leaving, I overheard a couple asking a waitress if they could order their drinks. She immediately took their order even though that was not her table. Went for dinner with my boyfriend and our daughter. We ordered chips and salsa and guacamole, honey chipotle wings, the boss burger for my bf and the fajita tacos for myself. Our server let us know if we signed up for their membership (with just a phone number and email) you can get free chips and salsa/guac Or a free non-alcoholic beverage everytime you dine in, so we did just that since we were planning on ordering the chips anyway. Their chips are like air thin but apparently that's how they've always been according to my bf and he loves them. I appreciated the generous portion of the guac as well although I would've preferred a much thicker salsa. I ordered the fajitas with steak and shrimp but when it came out it had steak and chicken. I let our server know and she didn't hesitate to bring out an extra side of shrimp for me. 5 stars for her service however the shrimp itself left much to be desired in my opinion and I would've liked slightly bigger portions of the extra fajita toppings (salsa, guac, sour cream, rice, beans) hence the overall 4 star review.
