    Ancho Salmon
    Dana S.

We came in with a group of 8 which then turned into a group of 12 as more people showed up than we thought were coming, and they handled it very well, making a space for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was conducive to having a big gathering since it wasn't too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and attentive enough through the meal, and considering the size of our party I thought the wait time was reasonable. I had the ancho salmon. It was okay. Presentation was kind of sloppy, but it tasted good. The rice was very oily. I also had a watermelon iced tea to drink which was nice, even if the tea was a little weak. Less sweet than other soft drinks. It's a Chili's. You're not going for fine dining, you're going because they will reliably serve decent food and satisfy the average American palette.

Who the heck orders from chilies? I did, and was pleasantly surprised. I can't remember the last time I eaten at the popular chain, that is a favorite of Michael Scott (fictional boss of the TV show the office) I could hear him singing the "I love my baby back, baby back ribs". I used the Yelp app to order some grub. I could hear worried thoughts coming from my wife's mind, but I am glad to report that it was all good. The burgers were nice an juicy (imagine an actual nice and pink center) (had the double old timer with cheese) I had the elote (roasted street corn) side and it was surprisingly tasty. My wife had the Santa Fe salad with shrimp that were nice and spicy. I can see why Michael takes the clients who he as to make a sale on, to this place! Chilies baby back ribs...

Chilis Philly! It was delicious, fresh and hot . Jalapeños had a nice kick, nice and cheesy . Would have given 5 stars but there wasn't as much meat as there should have been for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich for me. Fries were fresh and hot. Crispy. Service was spot on as well. We eat here regularly.

The food was great. I had the Triple Dipper which was very fresh and didn't disappoint. Southwest Egg-rolls were perfect probably of the best on the menu. The service was fast and highly efficient. Krystia was my server and checked multiple times to make sure everything is fine which is highly appreciated. The atmosphere was chill, nice music, and they had several games on. Overall this Chili's is very underrated. When passing by stop here and I promise you won't be disappointed.

We ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and the Nutella crepes with strawberries. Both items were very large portions for a good value and came out relatively quickly. We went with our baby and were able to put the car seat in the booth with us because the tables are very big, which is great. The restaurant has music on, but just loud enough to hear, but quiet enough to have a comfortable conversation without being distracted or having to yell. Overall, I would recommend anyone going to find a quality breakfast at a reasonable price.

Ah, good old Cub and Spanks…read more.. Now I've only been coming here for the past couple of months, but they fulfill a couple of requirements I require in a bar. 1) cheap drinks. And I don't mean this place is the kind of establishment that serves drinks in red solo cups, they serve them in regular plastic tumbler cups, and they're not bottom shelf garbage liquids either. A Jameson and Ginger ale will set you back a whopping $4. I feel like I'm stealing from the bar when I drink here! This is a good thing. 2) conversational level of crowd noise. This place has never been so loud that I couldn't hear the person I was sitting with, granted, we haven't come here on a Friday or Saturday night, so consider that the asterisk. I prefer a place where u don't need a bullhorn to talk to someone 3 feet away. 3) shuffleboard table. This place will always have a special place in my heart since I popped my shuffleboard cherry here on September 30th after closing out Charter Fitness. However, they've since replaced the old board with a new-fangled board with the prison bars that come up in the middle to avoid free plays, and the table is but crooked. Not that I'm a cheapskate and try to play for free, but the sand gets stuck in the holes so when you start a game, you have to manually push the bars in in order to allow your pucks to slide freely from end to end. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems 3) jukebox. Since the beginning if time, man has attempted to push forth their culture on those around them, and this is the perfect way to do it. You can even control the jukebox from your phone! Well, your smartphone at least. I don't think your Motorola StarTAC is going to help you out here, nor will your Nokia 8200. 4) regulars. You will see the same people day in day out here, whatever day of the week. They may or may not remember that you had a conversation about whatever you had a conversation about, but they're friendly. Or you can chalk it up to this place being a townie bar, but I won't call it that. Come to Cubbies, sidle up to the bar, and maybe drop a buck on a game of shuffleboard or two. If I'm there, say hello and challenge me to a game. I might show you a thing or two. Or not. I've only been playing for a couple if months...

We sat at the outdoor patio bar where they had two screens playing sports games. We started with a John Daley & Huskie Punch. The punch tasted similar to a painkiller which is tropical and fruity. My husband got The Fat Boy burger with a side of their famous Cajun Fried Potato Salad and Baked Beans. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The potato salad wasn't too spicy but tasted delicious. The bean had a good smoky flavor to them. Last but not least our server should get top billing in the review. The variety of wine available on the menu is good, and the variety of charcuterie is even better. A friend of mine had suggested we try this place just the other day. It's been on our list, so we tried it last Saturday. We were greeted and seated promptly. The seats and tables are comfortable. There is a bar area with a flat screen TV set, and there was a good crowd at the bar when we arrived. Our server passed out the menus, which took a minute to take in. Do we go with a cocktail, or wine? We decided to go with red wine. For the wine, we went with two different glasses (one for each, but we shared). My wife went with the A & D Merlot, which was very bright with a surprisingly smooth finish. I went for the Ivory & Burt Cabernet, which was a good cabernet. The charcuterie is named, so we went with The Frank. It came with a good selection of sausages, cheeses, and mustard, along with dried blueberries, dried plums, and crackers. The selection and flavors worked well with the red wines we had selected, and the wines did a nice job of clearing the palate before we dove in on another cheese or sausage. I noticed they had a wine club - you can sign up for $35 a month (month by month charge, cancel anytime). If you are a wine club member, you get 20% off your purchases. We joined on the spot, got 20% off our ticket, and the two bottles of wine from this month. This isn't your usual DeKalb bar. This is a nice place with solid service. The art on the walls in some cases is for sale, and the owner's personally curated wines for sale are stocked on the back wall. We wrapped up with desserts - my wife had their Chocolate Mousse, and I had their Strawberry Cheesecake - these are served in small glasses, and are just perfect for finishing up. If you are looking for an interesting place to visit, this is a place you NEED to visit.
