We arrived at 2:00 pm for lunch was promptly seated. Our server was friendly. The food is another story, we ordered a 1/2 lb burger and chicken tacos. The burger was over cooked and obviously a previously frozen 1/4 patty. The chicken taco meat was cold and lacked flavor. We have been here many times and the food and service has been fairly good, no complaints. I have been noticing, however, that this restaurant has started becoming quite dirty looking. The floors, walls, window sills, etc. could really use an overall thorough cleaning. I would suggest shutting the place down for a weekend and giving it a top to bottom scrubbing, otherwise it will become a reason for people not wanting to dine here. read more

May not be back at Chilis. Restaurant was filthy and bar staff had clearly not had any training whatsoever on hygiene. E.g. don't ever touch the top or inside of someone's glass before you serve it to them especially after carrying a dirty floor mat out of the bar area! Really gross! read more

Was seated right away. Server came over to take drink order and then food order. Both done pretty quickly. Went downhill after that. Server had 3 other tables that already had food. We ordered the lunch all you can eat chips, soup and salad. Chips and salsa came out and waited about 15 minutes-for the side salad and soup. We could see our server in the kitchen with three other servers and manager just chatting away. Server only came back after we hunted-down another server about needing water. She yelled his name in the kitchen and told him we needed water.She brought it out to us . We then asked for a refill on our soup and salad. Another 20 minutes went by. He never asked us if everything was ok or not. I am nationally licensed in the food industry and it doesn't take that long regardless how busy you are. Only 10 tabletops were occupied in the entire restaurant.. His tables that were empty and dirty stayed that way the entire time we were there. Spinach in the salad had more black in it than was edible. Our family likes Chilis when on the road. Will not visit this particular one again. We stopped here for cocktails on a Sunday afternoon. I overheard a waitress tell a customer (when she brought food to some of the customers at the table) that she was sorry but his steak was given to another customer. What!!! He did not get his steak for at least 15 minutes. He must have made a comment to her when she brought the steak, but I did not hear what he said. The waitress was all the way across the room and almost to the kitchen when she said to the man, "You better watch your mouth!" AND "You just swore in front of your child!". Really! How unprofessional! Then she must have told everyone in the kitchen area because at least 8 employees came over to look at this poor gentleman. I do believe mgt made amends to the table; but that waitress should be used to dealing with customers and should be fired or disciplined for her actions. read more

In our small town we do not have many choices for dining. Our son wanted a molten cake for his birthday so we took him for dinner. We've been her many many times before. And every time we go it's a different experience... we've had bad experiences we're we've boycotted chilis for months. But this last visit was great.. it was a busy Friday night, we called ahead of time and they were gracious enough to put our name down on the list that way we don't have to wait to be seated. We have a 6 month old baby and we didn't want her getting cranky while we waited. Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. Even though it was busy he was able to gather a few other servers to sing happy birthday to my son. Overall it was a great experience. It all depends on who is serving you, like I said. We've had really bad experiences where we've waited for almost an hour and a half for our food. We ended up leaving that night because our server was being rude when we asked why our food was taking so long.. that's when we left and didn't go back to chilis for 5 months. Then a friend invited us to dinner and they took us back to chilis, the drinks are always great and the food as well.. I have to say I used to like coming to chili,s. Apparently they do not really care what they are serving. We had watered salsa that should have never been served. The manager was eager to give us credit however I stated it is not about that it is about the product and how it is served. After that our waiter was non resistant. I will not go back. read more

Went here very late one night. There was nothing else open. The service was just okay. We felt like our server was concentrating more on starting to close then to wait on us. The food was good. I had a chicken salad and a tea because it was cold in there for some reason. My husband had chicken fingers which were also delicious. Chips and Salsa, that is the only thing you need to be happy and chilis has the best in the world. They have a huge menu and great service. It is a chain so noting too exciting or different about it, but great for groups and not pricey. The food at Chili's just is not that good, I guess that is what you get from a chain restaurant. The chips and salsa and the chicken enchilada soup are the two best items on the menu at Chili's. We used to enjoy going to Chili's Restaurant here in Delavan when they first opened. Great food, prices and service. For the past few months, it appears they care more about raising prices, taking things off the menu that were nice choices, and remodeling the restaurant. Not to mention the employee turn over is astounding.. didn't know Delavan had that many people in it, LOL. The staff is three quarters all young high school/college kids now that could care less if you get fast service, or enjoy your dining experience. For them, it is sit down, eat and get out.. but don't forget to tip my lazy, irresponsible, be there in a minute but it turns out to be 10 minutes later self. The last straw was when we went there on my birthday. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. The drinks were made promptly by the bartender and sitting on the counter for 10 minutes, watering themselves down, while our server was chatting loudly with friends at a nearby table. She looked right at our drinks, and at us.. she went back to finishing her conversation with her friends. We waited a few moments and while she was still going on about what happened last weekend, we slipped our coats back on and went somewhere else.. a total of 25 minutes (10 of which was waiting for our server to show up to take our order) wasted and no food or drink or appetizer showed up at our table. She received no tip no explanation. This was the 3rd incident of this same type of service. We work hard for our money and we understand being busy, but when you seriously notice you are being ignored, you tend to take your business elsewhere. We will not go back there anymore. Further.. the bathrooms are usually not very clean, the table we sat at was sticky yet looked "wiped down", the menus make you want to wash your hands afterwards because they are also sticky or filthy.. and I am not a prude but this review sure makes me sound like one.. but I am just being honest about that restaurant. read more

Today i went the Chilis in Delavan Lake, Wisconsin. To saybi was disappointed would be mild. I ordered the Honey Chipolte Shrimp and Sirloin. BIG disappointment ever. I ordered and was charged for a 10oz steak. I was served a 6oz portion. When i complained , i was told it was a 10 oz, it was smaller than my fist. Shrimp were tiny petite and only 4. When i said i would eat it , even though i did not like being charged for being served wrong size. Waitron person argued back that i was getting exactly what i ordered. So be it . Dont order this entre . Better yet dont bother going here. I have been coming here several times a month. Will not be doing so in future and will warn my customers and friends to boycott. I think staff needs to retrained also.i am not used to being argued too by waitstaff. I gave them 1 star only because i had to leave something and half a star is not available and still to high. read more
