I did get a call from the General Manager of Chilli's in both Espanola and Santa Fe New Mexico regarding the bad experience I had with my disabled son at Chilli's in Espanola. He was very understanding and seemed uncomfortable with the way we were treated as described in my recent review. I told him I did not want anything other than understanding. He invited me to come to Chilli's in Santa Fe as I was meeting friends for my son's birthday. He sent me a 50.00 gift card and told me he would like us to try Chilli's again for my son's birthday dinner. We did go to Chilli's in Santa Fe for my son's birthday. This time was much better, our server was very attentive and did not treat us badly in any manner. My son's case worker and his wife came to this dinner and we all thought the food was delicious, with large portions. We paid for our meals using the gift card and cash before dessert as unfortunately, my son had medical issues that day and I wanted to leave before things got worse. I forgot to add the dessert because we paid in advance. Chilli's gave us my son's birthday dessert for free even though I asked for another ticket so I could pay for it. Despite the fact that my son was having a bad day he was very happy for his birthday dinner because we were not treated badly, and he felt accepted. We left a 40.00 tip for the server. The food was amazing but our server was awful, we didn't get his name but he was definitely on something, his pupils huge and he was out of it the whole time, it wasn't just pot. He first asked us what drinks, and once we said Dr. Pepper and a water he didn't say anything he just walked away, when he brought us our drinks, again didn't say anything just put them down and walked away, he then came back and asked us for our order, I got the shrimp Alfredo and my gf got the Triple Dipper, once he gave us our food, mine had Chicken Instead of Shrimp, he did say he thought he heard chicken and he was sorry, we didn't mind it at first but then realized our appetizer came after our actual food, with only the queso and no salsa, once that was there I went to the bathroom, my gf said they tried to give us a second plate of shrimp Alfredo, and we didn't order 2, just 1. So when I got back we tried to ignore how bad this was going and we had a great time until we asked for a molten lava cake for dessert and he said yeah and then swung his arm with insane attitude. At this point we lost it, we just wanted to leave so we ask for to-go boxes and I went to the bathroom again and saw him sitting down, leg up on the booth and on his phone, I would've thought he was on brake if he didn't get up very quickly when he saw me. Once we were going to pay, we saw that they charged us for the extra Alfredo that we didn't order and brought to us forcefully, so my gf asked to have that off and then we paid and just left, we usually let a lot of things go as we don't know what they are going through but this was the worst experience we've ever had here or at any place, that dude needs a write up or worse, maybe a drug test. read more

I love the food. The wait and having to sign in before you are on a list is really down heartening. For people with little children or elderly family members it's a struggle to go to Chili's, especially when there are no reservations taken. I am about on the verge of trying to stay away from this restaurant a year to see if they change the way they treat clients. A few months ago my boyfriend and I ate here together and we posted a review of what happened, but it's listed as "not recommended" so I'm going to write what happened again here. First of all, we had 4-5 different waiters serving us at once, I'm not even kidding. At one point I asked one of these random waiters for a spoon to eat my molten lava cake with, and she came back with a spoon that had a piece of crusty food stuck to it. So I waited for another one of those waiters to come by and asked for a new spoon, she apologized and got me a new one, but it took a while. Terrible place. For my main course I ordered pasta, but it was undercooked and hard. I had a side of garlic bread that tasted bitter and almost soapy, which was also soggy.
