I was in the Folsom area and I just saw this you tube vid on this big chicken crispy sandwich they offer as part of the 3 for Me deals. Normally I'm a big fan of the 3 for me deal, but I usually always get the burger, either the QP (quarter pounder) or smasher burger, served with fries, a side and a drink! All that for just $10.99! So I go in with a friend and we get seated just fine. The inside dining looks pretty much like most Chili's. Drink orders taken and I log on to the little video kiosk thingy at the table. As a club member I get free chips and salsa every time I go in. Chips arrive fast. Service is spot on. I order the big crispy chicken sandwich with the potato soup as my side and served with fries and my diet drink. You have a choice of getting the chicken with regular mayo or the spicy mayo. I got some of the spicy mayo on the side. My friend got the QP burger, with the soup like me and fries and a diet drink too. The food comes out fast and there's my chicken sandwich. I kinda inspect it looking under the bum, there's mayo and pickles there and the crispy fried chicken breast is decent sized. OK, my first bite into it ... hmmm, well, I gotta say, it seems kinda dry to me, I guess it is white meat, but still kinda dry. I added more of the mayo and yep, still not that great. Been here many times before. The food is what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Price point is great on the 3 for me lunch/dinner deals so we visit every so often for that. I would have given 3/4 stars for the food, but needed to write about my experience and reason for 5 stars... when u have a rockstar waiter like Noah, it makes such a big difference in the overall experience. This Folsom location has great service, friendly staff and has tasty food. We like to dine here when we are in the area. Every time we came here, the restaurant is clean and the customer service is great. I love that Chili's in general has their margarita of the month and the 3 for me meal deals. Two in our party ordered steaks, medium done. They came out medium rare to rare. One girl in our group said she would just take the steak home and finish it in her microwave. Don't know why she didn't send it back. Generally speaking, the food was fine. I ordered a Dos Equis beer. It took them four tries to finally bring me the beer I ordered. After this, I was afraid to give our server our food order. Food came out correctly, other than the underdone steaks. Our server only asked us once if everything was okay. She never asked if we needed refills on our drinks or if I wanted another beer. We had also requested two separate checks. They never brought us checks. The girls told me that they don't bring checks, you just use the little self service thing to pay. When I looked at that, there were two bills on it. One for food and drinks for our entire party, and another for the wrong beer they had brought me. We got that straightened out. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service at this Chili's on this occasion. My disappointment was reflected in the tip. Hubs ordered the Old timer cheeseburger and opted for chips n salsa. $10.99. The burger patty was hefty sized. Juicy, flavorful. Tasted fresh and looked free formed. The chips were served warm and lightly salted. It was a plentiful serving size. The chips were delicious. The salsa was tasty, it had a sauce like consistency. I ordered the 6oz steak. $16.99. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare as I asked. It was tender, soft. It came with loaded mashed potatoes and brocilli. The brocilli was cooked to a perfect doneness, not crunchy nor mushy. Great! I went to chilis before going to see a movie and the waiter was really chill and hoped we'd enjoy it. I got the shrimp Cajun pasta, and I would recommend taking it home and heating it up the next day, it tastes way better. It comes with garlic bread on the side.
