Philly + Bürger Sliders + Alkohol (duh)

It's aight. I don't particularly remember any of the prices, because once I hit the mountains, the water turns to beer and the memories start to fade. BUT! At least in this state, you know you won't really care what you're eating, because you're just happy to be sticking food down your mouthhole again. I got some Chilly Pheesesteak Sammich and it was pretty standard. Nothing to call home about or bring the cavalry, but whatever. Everybody was super chill, as you would probably expect on a mountain reservation. The day was awesome. Fulla snow for that sweet PowPow. That's how ya do it, baby!!

We like coming here for the super friendly service, warm ambience with view of the slope, and the excellent, well-presented food. Only negative is no 20% epic pass discount.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews of this place. We had lunch here after a cold snowy morning of skiing (Wednesday and supposedly not open). We were seated promptly and the interior was warm and comfortable. Service was a little slow, but I thought the food was quite good. The Cajun chicken sliders were hot and very tasty with the side of garlic fries. My dining partner had a chicken Philly which looked pretty generous. Prices were a little high, but no more so than any other slopeside dining establishment. I'd come back next time I'm skiing at Kirkwood.

Sometimes I wonder if people perceive bad service when it's their own attitude... just saying. I ate there on a whim last Tuesday near closing time. Got immediate attention and smile from pretty girl as we approached. Wife chose our table by the window. Philly sandwich was fat and hot, garlic fries crispy. Fish and chips (which I got with onion rings instead of fries) was piping hot, flakey and crispy. Miike appeared to be the bartender, he also took our order. He checked on us twice, kept our water full. I don't go to a ski resort and go to eat at the only semi-fancy seating and warm ambience dining room and expect to see $6 sandwiches (not in this day and age) so I can't even complain about price. Kirkwood all around is a very welcoming place, and dinner on the 23rd was delicious and comfy.

We decided to order the burger and the Mac and cheese to share. The Mac and cheese got much smaller since we were there about a month ago, I'm not sure why. The burger was delicious! So good and a pretty good size too. We were waiting a while for food, so they offered us 2 cups of the vegan chili on the house, which was pretty nice. Food is decent for a ski resort and prices aren't too steep either. We always come to eat here when we ski at Kirkwood. Probably won't order the Mac and cheese again though.

Pork belly sliders - small portions and I wasn't totally a fan.

Food: Pork Belly Sliders - can't say this was a favorite given the portion and taste. The pork was a little tough. Chicken Caesar - well this made up for the sliders. I was actually surprised that the chicken was really well seasoned. The salad itself was pretty standard. Service: friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance: a little more quaint and not so crazy like the food court areas. Thought it wasn't a really busy day at the resort. Overall: well ur at a resort so not many options.

The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. She was a total pro at keeping us engaged and enjoying our time, all while making drinks and taking care of everyone else around us.

I stopped by Community Speakeasy and had a decent, middle-of-the-road experience. The standout of…read morethe night was definitely Amanda the mixologist--she was absolutely great, incredibly fun to talk to, and an overall delight to be around while making our drinks. The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.
