This location may be a bit understaffed. Despite having reservations, we still had to wait quite a while for a table. We were also informed that the patio was closed because there weren't enough servers available to cover that section, which was disappointing since we were hoping to dine outside. Aside from the wait, the food has always been consistently good here. The portions are generous, and so far I haven't had a bad meal. Their island-style breakfast options are especially worth trying. The chicken fried steak, pancakes, omelets, and waffles are all solid choices. They also offer a great variety of mimosas, making brunch even more enjoyable. My mom isn't a big breakfast person, so she opted for the chicken strips and fries. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the worst choice of the day. Not only was it the last dish to arrive, but the chicken tasted like frozen store-bought strips that had been over-fried. It was extremely dry, tough, and difficult to eat. Without a doubt, it was the weakest item we ordered. Other than that one dish, our overall experience was positive. The rest of the food was enjoyable, and our servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. I hope they're able to reopen the patio on our next visit. We got there early today and it wasn't crowded yet, this was our 2nd time dining there. The service was very slow. Went there at about 1030 in the morning Pat seated right away came by and brought us water. They had no ice in it coffee that was very strong waited little while before the waitress came back. Placed our order I had Moko Loco, which was barely seasoned not overly hot. We had to ask for more napkins, which I finally had to get up and get them from one of the receptionist. I genuinely have not been to a worse restaurant in terms of food quality, pricing, or service. I got a chocolate chip pancake with hash browns and bacon. The pancake had barely any chocolate in it and was very floury. The hash browns were fine but nothing special. I ordered a chicken apple sausage on the side later on in the meal and my first bite I almost gagged it was colder than room temp and I told my server that and I said I don't want it anymore. The guy still charged me for it! Ridiculous service and food. Over the last couple of visits, the service has gone downhill badly--some of the worst we've experienced in Folsom and the surrounding area. Today, while we were technically greeted, given menus, and water, it was done without any warmth or friendliness. We stood at the entrance for a moment with two waitresses nearby, and neither made eye contact or offered a welcoming hello. The interaction felt forced and uncomfortable from the start. After being seated, we were essentially ignored. The restaurant was nearly empty with only three tables total, yet there was no attentiveness or follow-up. No sense of hospitality at all. The server was friendly and had a great attitude, he was timely and checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed. The blueberry pancake waffles were delicious, soft center and crunchy corners, couldn't have been happier. I got the combo so it came with a side of eggs, bacon, and sausage. The bacon and sausage were really good, but my sunny side up eggs had a little bit of shell in them. Not a big deal, it happens, the waffle was so good I didn't mind. The only downside was the restroom, when I went into the bathroom the toilet seat was on the floor. Not the staffs fault, I'm sure a customer did it and didn't tell anyone. I came in at 1:40pm today because the hours said they close at 3pm. I had work to do and wanted a quiet place to eat and write. The waitress told me, as she was seating me, that the kitchen closes in 15 mins and they close at 2pm. I asked if I had to order and eat by 2pm or if I can stay until 3pm. She curtly told me she had to leave by 2pm. I looked around and saw other people eating and tried to clarify if the whole restaurant would be closed at 2pm. She said yes. My husband got the lavender honey pancake combo which came with 2 eggs, 2 sausage and 2 bacon. It was really good and the whipped cream was different but good. I had the crab eggs Benedict. Over $45.00 for two take-out breakfasts without beverages? Nope. Ordered biscuit and gravy combo. Just not that good. Give it maybe a C+. My sweetheart had the Maui French toast combo. It was ok, the overcooked side was on the bottom. Maybe give it a B-. For the amount they charge, you have many more brunch restaurant options, and you may enjoy better quality. This was the worst chicken fried steak I've ever had. The gravy wasn't country gravy, it was yellowish, thick and tasted like turkey gravy. It's been two hours and I'm still burping it up, ugh. The steak itself was of good quality, but the batter it was fried in was similar to fish and chips, but dark, like it was in dirty oil. It was like a giant chicken (steak) nugget. The potatoes tasted burnt, but werent thoroughly cooked. And the same with the eggs- they looked done, but were hardly cooked. The burrito was waaaay too heavy on the bacon, and the hash browns inside weren't cooked- Super rich and inedible. I wish the waitress asked me about the food when my plate was picked up with the majority of my breakfast still on it. Came here to celebrate my birthday! first time at this location and loved how mellow it was compared to some of the other ones. Was seated instantly! Bottle service is best bang for your buck if multiple people are drinking, and you get 2 juices along with the bottle! Their Benedict's always hit the spot, but they have a huge selection of food. We split some seasonal toasties and a biscuit with gravy which were both great. My friend did have a hair in her food but they comped her whole meal and the server was very nice about it. read more

The restaurant is located in the Raley's shopping center across from 99 Ranch/Dollar Tree/Taco Bell/Starbucks. The concept of the restaurant was cool and different to have the champagne bottle right in your drink. I just hope those nice, customized bottles and staff's hands were sanitized before dipping the bottle into the drink. LOL The wait wasn't too bad, especially being the day after Christmas. We waited about 30 minutes and they texted when our table was ready. Maybe the day after Christmas wasn't such a great day to come. Seemed like they were very short-staffed and I think there was only the one waitress working that day. She forgot a lot of things that I specified in my order and our food was very cold, but I didn't want to send it back a 2nd time after having the first one delivered with potatoes, instead of hash browns. My coffee was also forgotten in the beginning. I'm willing to give this place another try in hopes that my order is correct next time. It has been a few years since visiting the Mimosa House because the last few visits at different locations have been underwhelming. My husband invited me to choose the restaurant and location. Mimosa House has a great menu (honestly it was so hard to choose!) of food and of course Mimosa's. For breakfast I went with a lighter option and enjoyed the Lox and Bagel it was very yummy. My husband had one of the specials, the Cinnamon roll French Toast and devoured his meal. I enjoyed Sugar Plum Fairy Mimosa. The service was great, the restaurant was lovely and the food was good. I usually visit the Mimosa House location in Rancho Cordova for their food and great services. I was expecting the same here but service was a bit lacking. The avocado toast was good but it took forever for the waitress to take our drink orders. It then took awhile to waive someone down just to get some sugar for my coffee. Came to this location for the first time after a 10 mile hike with friends & a large appetite! Our server was very friendly and accommodating to some of our friends food allergies and concerns. She also helped us pick some of the best mimosas I've ever tasted. Our banana pancakes came out hot and fresh, with the yummiest bananas, not mushy or too hard. I loved the beach bum juice, which was watermelon and mango juices. I ordered another glass of just the juice! We ate and talked for a few hours and we're well tended to. I never have a bad experience at Mimosa House, so I'm glad I can keep saying it after visiting the Folsom location. When I cut into the eggs they were overcooked. Waited a few minutes for the waitress to come outside. I told her it was overcooked. She apologized and asked if I wanted them to remake the dish or just eggs. I thought, poached eggs should take no more than 5 minutes to make and I didn't want them to waste the food so I asked for new eggs. It took 15-20 mins to receive my new eggs, and if you look at the pictures the eggs were still super watery. By this time everyone was done with their food and my food was cold at this point. The best part of this place is the service and the drinks. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food much. I had mom's morning tacos which were just meh and quite dry. I added hot sauce to pump up the flavor just a bit but still I was unsatisfied. My mom loves their breakfast but she's a simple lady that doesn't require much pizazz if you know what I mean. I also shared a waffle with my sister and it was really dry as well. Come to think of it she ordered chicken tenders and said they were crazy crispy but the meat itself was dry and not very good. Sounds like they're awesome at drying out whatever they make. Service was great and I don't blame them that the food was a major let down but I wouldn't come back. Oh, I forgot to mention the fish and chips. Dear lord do not order the fish and chips. If you do be ready for some out of the box freezer food that cost $6 for 12 fillets at the grocery store. They were all uniform in size and shape and they were terrible. My wife expected fresh house battered semi fresh fish and chips and she was so upset that she complained for 2 weeks until she was able to redeem herself with some fresh fish and chips back home in Seattle.
