I have always been a fan of chili's, but the past couple times I've come the service has been horrible. The food is always consistent but the poor service I've received the past couple times I've visited is just not worth coming. While I'm happy they are open. We took my father in law out for his birthday this past Saturday night. We chose chili's because me and my husband have always had positive experiences however this time we were very disappointed. First we join the waitlist online and then called when we were on our way to check in for estimated seating time when we were told it would be another hour to hour and a half before we could be seated so what was the point of joining the waitlist an hour earlier just to be told it would be another hour and a half after that hour. I called twice to check on her place in line. When we did finally receive a text message that our table was ready we went In and were told that they weren't sure we were even coming because we had to come into the building to check in. Nobody told me this the two times that I called and asked questions. When we were finally seated we were seated at a very small table. And the first waitress we had was very rude and had an attitude and only gave us 1 menu for four adults. However the second waitress was very polite and attentive to our needs. When we placed orders for our food and drinks we had to wait almost an hour for food. When we did get our food my steak which was supposed to be medium was almost well done and the outside was very crispy. My steamed broccoli was still raw and my shrimp were cold. I informed the waitress the steak didn't bother me that much but the broccoli and the shrimp did its sad that the only thing on my plate that was actually really good was the mashed potatoes. My drink was really good though and the second waitress was very polite the entire time. The three stores I did give was mainly for my drink in the service of the second waitress. Again while I appreciate them being open and I do understand how hard it must be you still kind of expect good things. So disappointed here as this used to be a great place to bring the family for dinner. I guess I should have checked yelp first because the other yelps are spot on. On walking in, we were surprised at the B rating. This should have been a clue but I figured with such a huge chain like Chili's it had to be a simple flaw that someone found on a bad day. Our party of 7 arrived for an early dinner, 4:30p, so we thought we would be doing good to beat the Saturday night crowds. We were seated promptly and Ryan introduced himself and took our drink orders. He was nice but clearly had too many tables or something because he had trouble checking in on us. Got chips, salsa, and queso dip. The dip was served cold which was the first sign of trouble in the kitchen. Ordered food but it took like 45 minutes to arrive which seemed unusual being that the place was sparse at when we ordered. Now the food. Shrimp tacos, no advocado, mostly slaw, and the brief shrimp were over cooked and hard. 1 taco had no shrimp at all. Chicken quesadilla was over cooked and dry. Ribs were very fatty. Kids grill cheese, cheese was not melted. Spicy chicken pasta was not spicy just fettuccine Alfredo. So let's just say this place is off the list and until I hear different. The hostess was a little confused to our requirements for our group. I requested a table, but they offered a booth first. We had to wait longer for a table. Not a big deal, but when you request a table in the first place... Our waitress was amazing. I wish I had caught her name, she was tall with long blonde hair. Very good and attentive. Appetizers, not so bad. The cooks did not prepare our meals correctly... frankly, our meals were disgusting. We both got the "crispy chicken crispers" and they were not cooked all the way. My chicken tasted like cleaning solution, and my husband's chicken was cold in the center. His broccoli tasted disgusting as well, and had some kind of onion or white seasoning. Not tasty. It would have been an overall typical restaurant experience (again, our waitress was FANTASTIC!), and I wouldn't have written a review, however, the way the manager handled the situation made me come write a review. He was not helpful at all and was demeaning to the customer. We will never eat at that restaurant again, we will go to Carolina Ale House instead. read more

Horrendous service. Waited 15 minutes to be sat and was told by three different people that someone will "be right with us"... and continued to walk right by. Finally sat by someone with a horrible attitude- then another 15 minutes to even have someone walk over and take our drink and food order. We were ready to walk out but the server did a good job kissing our butts to make up for the awful treatment. Food was subpar at this location too. Then when they took it back and took everything off, left the bottom bun with mustard on it. Got the Quesadilla $8 lunch which on the menu says comes with chips and salsa. I really like Chili's food, but for the second time in a row at the Greenville, NC, Chili's on Evans St. I have been very disappointed. Today I, along with my wife and 5 year old son, come for lunch at 1:30 pm. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait to be seated. I noticed half the tables were empty. I was told it was because workers had not shown up. After over 20 minutes I asked how much longer it would be. After nearly 30 minutes we were seated. If told the correct time originally, we would have left, as it can be difficult keeping a five year old occupied waiting to sit down. Twice the manager on duty (male, approx. 25-35 years old) called me, "Buddy." I'm a 36 year old man and do not appreciate someone I don't know calling me, "Buddy." Food (two burgers) took a half hour to come out. I had to ask the manager to get them as the waitress was no where to be found after 25 minutes. Waitress proceeded to take an incredibly long time returning with our to go box (we watched her chatting with multiple tables with it in her hand). Last time the burger paper was left in my burger. This chilis has the best service. We walked in and they immediately greeted us. The music is also fantastic! The staff is the friendliest group of people I have ever met also. My friend ordered salmon and unfortunately they were out but the waiter soon after addressed us with the issue and offered her two tilapia filets for the price of one instead. This restaurant is updated every 5 or so years, so it's definitely not outdated. I would typically give it 3 stars but they've recently implemented a rewards program that I use the heck out of and I love playing Life or Monopoly with my husband or neices and nephews so everyone isn't on their phone... They're on the same tablet - but playing together as a family. 99 cents for an hour or so of entertainment is kinda awesome. I can't stay away from the chips and salsa (side of ranch!)... The corn on the cob is the best you can find in a restaurant. My current favorite is the Ranchero Tacos, so of course I get two corn cobs instead of the rice and beans it comes with. Sadly, I'm not a ribs fan and I don't think I've ever had an alcoholic beverage here, so I can't really comment on how awesome the advertised ribs or margaritas are. However, I believe I will at least try a Margarita in the future to add to my review. I mean, it's for the public, right? That's like charity. read more

Been here at least five or six times. Wait staff is super friendly and professional, which is the reason for 4 stars. 2 for 20 deal is awesome. I always get the Cajun pasta that is definitely worth the money, especially for a cheap date night. Drinks are okay but very sweet and not super strong. The last visit stood out to me. My boyfriend and I wanted some quick wings. We decided to try Chilis and the wings were good. We ordered the Texas cheese fries as an appetizer and the portion was huge, which is fine with me. However, 30 minutes later, after finishing the appetizer, a man who I assumed to be assistant manager or manager informed us that there were not even enough wings to complete the order, which was two 8 piece wing plates. He apologized profusely and even went back to the kitchen to make sure that they served us the last of the wings (8 pieces) and offered to pay for them. My boyfriend ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, in place of the wings, that he was very pleased with and my wings were free because of the wait and hassle. Went there for lunch today I ordered the triple dipper with burger bites, chicken crisper and southwest egg rolls - the chicken was cold and breaking was soggy and tasted like oil. The egg rolls were good . The burgers were super try and gross and cold. I would not order it again. We also got the burrito which was bland and meat inside was the meat you would expect in can soup- it just tasted bad and it was just warm not hot . My kids love chili's for their chip and salsa so we decided to go on a Sunday for a late lunch. The rating had greatly improved to 94.5 from my last visit several months ago. For starters we were greeted by the host, a tall thin gentleman. He did not make eye contact and roughly showed us to our table. We were a party of 5 so he separated a large table by literally slinging the tables apart. He threw the menus on the table as we sat down and then walked away to rearrange the other table. There was another party of 5 on the other side of us and the host shoved another chair at their table. One of the patrons said "Excuse me, I think you put this chair at the wrong table." He responded "This is a table for 6 and you only have 5 chairs so I don't think I have the wrong table." His behavior was so unbelievably rude and bizarre. Fortunately Josh was our waiter and he made our meal enjoyable because he was very friendly and attentive. If I were him, I'd go somewhere else to work. I just hope he doesn't have to split his gratuity with the host. read more

Recently was here a few days ago. I was sitting in front of a couple with their children who had hair in all 4 plates of their food. The mother started to get nauseous because she and her family had already began eating the food before they noticed it. I too got upset and decided not to eat. Also, I saw a roach crawling up the wall of the restaurant. It's absolutely disgusting here. I did an online order which was to be ready in 20 minutes. I got there in 15 (and noticed their horrifying sanitation grade and wanted to turn back around - I also noticed 2 take out containers sitting on the back counter) gave my name and waited. I had paid for my order online so all I thought I had to do was just pick it up. But I waited and waited for 10 more minutes. Then the server came out and said sorry and handed me the 2 containers that had been sitting there when I came in (so for at least 15 minutes). Anyway the food of course was not hot and was very soggy. Too bad I used to love Chili's but I don't think I will be back. Me and a buddy went to this Chili's location last Saturday the 13th of April, 2019 and we were really hungry so we decided to stay even after seeing the 85 "B" grade on the wall. The girl that led us to our table saw a fork under the table and sit in the booth to try and reach down and get it. She got back up without it and just left it there. We noticed the table and seats were wet from where they had just been wiped off and when the waitress picked up on that, she simply told us she would be back with some napkins for us. She placed them on the table for us to wipe down the table ourselves and said here you go and left. I could not believe a restaurant with an 85 grade would really want me to wipe off my own table. I decided right then and there we were leaving and would never come back. I have always loved every Chili's I have ever been to and our local one in Garner, NC is awesome but this place needs to be remodeled as it looks in bad shape on the outside and obviously with an 85 grade they need some serious help. Their staff needs some training too if they really thought I was going to start cleaning tables. STAY AWAY from this place. That 85 stands out like sore thumb when you walk in the door! read more
