    Crispy Chicken Crispers Combo

This picture includes my first Chili's order: their chicken crispers. I must say, you can have a great experience dining at this Chilis, you just have to really pull it out of them. My first plate was not hot at all, not to mention my crispers were anything but crispy. Nonetheless, the wait staff were attentive and kind enough to replace our orders. Their attentiveness definitely redeemed them in my books, and our seating placement made for a decent night overall.

Where do I begin? Was looking forward for a fun time at chili's, and I must say it impressed overall. Highlights included the fried pickles brought out promptly by our attentive server, and our final course, the cookie skillet topped with ice cream. The honey chipotle crispers were a hit, as was the queso. My only complaints would be the lack of napkins, and I was under the impression my chicken crispers would be glazed with bbq sauce rather than have it on the side. The BBQ was also not very flavorful and consisted of mainly ketchup. Nonetheless, I am not opposed to returning in the future to try out some different items.

Chili's is the McDonald's of American chain restaurants. You get what you want and leave with a pretty satisfied tummy. No high expectations either! All Chili's are fairly the same. The service is mediocre but there're kiosks to order appetizers and desserts, so there's that. You can also pay your bill there if you're paying by card. The food isn't too bad and that's why I was willing to give it a 4. The classic sirloin is pretty good and flavorful, I'm a fan. Especially with shrimp added. My friend got the chipotle bowl and had no complaints in particular. The blueberry pineapple margarita is really good!! I recommend. Chili's has a molten chocolate cake and it's probably one of the main reasons I keep coming back. You can't find a lot of those here. It's soooo good, y'all gotta try it.

We did the 2 meals for $25 deal, and got mind-blowing fries for an appetizer and a delicious piece of cake to share for dessert.

I have visited many times in the last two, and I am proud to report how delicious the restaurant's foods are, how they have a variety of prices on the menu for any taste, and how their horchata is delicious. First of all, be mindful that there's limited accessibility into Bueno y Sano. There's steps leading up into a dual pull doorways, which is nice and quaint in historic Amherst. Inside, there are also steps leading from the entrance up to the clerks' cash register and kitchen along with salsas, a soda machine, a freezer, and the restrooms. There's still outside dining if you can visit with a friend who can help get your meal inside. The quality is absolutely worth it. Bueno y Sano has likely been around for so long because their meals are consistently bright, rich, and flavorful. Keeping cilantro fresh has been a challenge for me, since I surely could use it more. For Bueno y Sano, they must have some of the freshest vegetables in the valley to consistently cook and serve them tightly wrapped in durable but soft burrito tortillas. There are many other options on the menu if you'd prefer other flavors, too, as I recall an Asian-like burrito on the menu, as well as a beyond-beef grilled burrito. Yes, there's salads and more, I perhaps, just enjoy their burritos too much to choose another! I didn't mention the horchata again simply because it's another beloved flavor on their menu of drinks. One day, when I'm a traveled expert in horchata, I'm sure I'll come back to tell you why Bueno's *es tan bueno.*

Before the menu change, I ordered a vegan tofu reuben with their delicious slaw, called a "Cosmos."…read more It was so good, I ordered it again, thinking it was impossible for them to get it right two times in a row. They did. So I came back a THIRD time and ordered it AGAIN, just to see if they can still keep their vegan cheese melted just right on top. It was incredible, AGAIN. Now that I've gotten this out of the way, ask where it is on their new menu as it is under revision--I don't like the tempeh version as much. Onto the rest of the atmosphere of Cushman. One of the most pleasant features of Cushman Market and Cafe is that it is nestled at an important corner in northeast Amherst. You need to travel further west to get to The Mill District and not much opens there early, and there's little else I can recall in the other cardinal directions. It's a pleasant trip, with plenty of parking in front, behind, and in a strip of side road across the street. I've never been in the market, so let me keep talking about the Cafe. The atmosphere of the Cafe is wonderful, with locals, safety officers, and regulars all visiting at each meal hour from breakfast to lunch. Nestled inside what looks like an old barn, complete with doors still hanging, Cushman has memorabilia from decades of music, sports, politics, and news frozen under acrylic, different for many of their tables. The café seems to have at most 20 chairs, and the staff behind the counter will deliver it to your table, call your name, or leave other orders by a stand near the back entrance. Cushman Cafe offers a variety of meals, alongside baked goods and freshly mixed café drinks. While I'm not a fan of the switcherels, I have enjoyed their dirty Chai lattes, iced teas, fresh coffees, and free water if I recall in a pinch. They have gender neutral bathrooms--which is great if you're tired of waiting in line for one of two as they are large but single occupancy. They offer cold panini sandwiches, hot panini, all sorts of eggs, egg sandwiches, and egg breakfasts, vegan and vegetarian options, alongside a seemingly visible carnivorous focus for their new menu's default. If you had a chance to hop on a bus and travel around Amherst, or you were passing through to the highways, Cushman Cafe is worth a quick stop. I've rarely had to wait long for my meals even in busy hours, and this is because of the large and competent kitchen, who--if you'll remember--can get a delicious sandwich right any day of the week. I hope cell service returns there!

Both the margarita and the appetizer platter were large lol. I ended up having 2 margaritas and they were pretty weak but tasted good but very sweet. The app platter consisted of a small serving of spinach artichoke dip and tortilla chips, several boneless wings, a quesadilla, and mozzarella sticks. Sauces were blue cheese, ranch, marinara, and salsa. It was pretty good! Truth be told that would have been fine for a meal for 2. But I went ahead and ordered the southwest chicken bowl as well. It was marinated grilled chicken sitting atop cilantro rice with corn salsa, guacamole, pico, some romaine lettuce, and tortilla strips. I'd definitely order this again. I ended up taking most of it home.

If you're ordering drinks, they usually will call your drink out at the bar. I was surprised that they didn't have chips n salsa as a complimentary snack for the table while the food is being made. I'm assuming it's due to this not really being a seated restaurant, where a server takes down your order. They have chips n guac available for purchase. The guac actually tastes delicious. I ordered la Sopa Azteca, it wasn't too bad...if you don't like too many oils in your soup I wouldn't purchase. I ordered the Plato Durango for my entree, as well as a side of rice, and to be honest, the entree wasn't even that warm when it was brought to me. I didn't enjoy it much. It's also incredibly expensive, my meal was $35 for just the soup, rice, and entree.

The salsa, while having a large variety, all lacked in flavor, seasoning, and spice. The chicken enchiladas tasted like water somehow. They are made with corn tortillas that just fell apart at just the first bite. The burrito bowl was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I mean, it was simply lettuce and chicken with unmelted, cold queso. The Pollo Ala Veracruzana was DRY. DRY. The tortillas were not properly warmed and felt like it had been sitting for a while. For our shrimp cocktail, it was too thick with not enough juice, filled with more onions than shrimp. On top of that, they gave us tortilla chips rather than saltine crackers. The seating was awful inside, and everything just felt off. However, they somehow perfected the rice.
