My boyfriend and I were having a string at bad luck in various different restaurants. We had gotten used to slow service and mediocre food. We wondered into Chili's one day, and we received wonderful service and excellent food. We've been back several times since then, and I'm sure we will continue to visit. The hostess always greets us with a warm smile, and the servers are extremely polite. The restaurant, along with it's bathrooms, have been very clean every time I've been there. Oh, and the rewards system is great! It doesn't take very long to collect enough points to get free drinks, appetizers or desserts. If you've never been to Chili's in Hattiesburg, I suggest you give it a try. I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

I was told by the manager on duty, Peggy, that "policies are more important than their customers." This was about a new policy where they will not serve anyone who's ID is starting to peel up on the corner. Good customer service would have been to state the policy and go ahead and serve us, asking us to remember this for next time. Especially since it is not a law and we have been in before with the same bartender. This is very poor management and training. I will not be back to this location. read more

This place is horrible. Took my daughter to dinner and ordered steak fajitas, daughter got chicken. Server brought my daughter's food. I never saw mine till I asked. Server said it got dropped on floor and had to make another. My daughter now done and I have nothing. Server brings food out when I'm ready for check and asked me if it looks ok? This is the best chilis I've ever eaten at. Food is always perfect and the service is always fast and friendly. I go here often.

We waited probably around 7 minutes for our waitress to make an appearance, and let me point out that it was not busy. After we got our drinks we ordered our food, grilled cheese and oranges, a soup and salad, and a bowl of soup. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to come. I watched at least 2 families come in after us, sit down and have their food well before we recieved ours. Mind you, the only thing on our table thay had to be "cooked" was a grilled cheese. And never saw our waitress in between. Asked for an extra plate when the food did come, and of course our kids were halfway through the grilled cheese by the time she came back, I may be wrong, but everytime I've ordered soup and salad its come with chips and salsa, which I never got, or asked if I wanted. This was our second visit to this location since moving to Hattiesburg and will be the last. It's so overpriced now for food that's far from great and unpleasant service. Save your money and cook at home or go somewhere else. read more

Very Disappointed "take-out" Customer.!!!! On Friday 1/12/18 my office and I decided to order take-out on our lunch break from Chills(Hardy St, Hattiesburg, Ms). I ordered three pasta dinners 1st with shrimp and extra shrimp and 2nd with shrimp add chicken, strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade (no ice). The server took the order and repeated it bk perfectly. I got the price and hung up. Less than two minutes I call bk and ask to speak to her the add another shrimp pasta to the order and give me the updated total. After our company paying for someone lunch to go pick up our order, we get the order and half of it is wrong. I called bk to speak to a manager about the mix up. A man (not the manager) get on the phone and starts talking immediately about our order is correct and the bar tender checked each order before giving it to the customer. After he finish explaining something that was meaningless, I told him are you ready to hear why I called back or you gonna assume you know what imma gonna ask and continue to get it wrong. That pissed my off because I haven't told you what was the problem. Then I explain to him that the order on the ticket is exactly what I received in my take-out plate BUT ITS NOT WHAT I ORDERED.. The server wrong me up for a sweet tea, strawberry lemonade, shrimp pasta with extra shrimp and chicken pasta with extra chicken and another shrimp pasta. So after all that he still didn't understand what went wrong. Okay now the real manager get on the phone #rudeaf. He listened to the problem, he reads the tickets back to me BUT HE READS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. OKAY I'm hungry and extremely upset now because I know something is wrong and someone made a mistake " which is FINE just OWN IT! " Me and the manager now going back and forward like he was on the phone when I placed the order or like husband and wife. He was very unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, incomprehensive, and nasty attitude so-called manager..hummmm...managers are suppose to lead by example and calm at all time so no one get triggered to the point things escalade to something worst. I think he need to go to training classes and learn how to talk to people that helping him stay employed and learn a lot of discussion making skills because the manager asked me what do you want me to do...really..I told him I don't know what do you normally do someone make a mistake and he said " I'm not refunding your company order and I'm not giving any coupons out for someone order that was wrong correctly". WOW!!! I told him it's sad that he think that we only wanted a free lunch so we are making up a lie to get it and we didn't even pay for it (we paid for it with a company check). At this time I get off the phone because I have lost my appetite and now have a headache. Our company will NOT EAT AT CHILI'S EVER!! And as individuals our families will not eat there because if someone that suppose to the manager of a store is that nasty over the phone, I know the kitchen is nasty and his hands. And the thought of that turns our stomach... I would post the receipt but the server name is on the receipt and I feel like she should be exposed for human mistake. After we were seated, which didn't take long at all, we wait 10-15 mins before someone finally acknowledged us. She stated that Logan was our waiter and asked if he had been by. We said no and she took our drink order. We then waited another 10 mins on Logan to finally come by and take our order. Keep in mind we had seen him go to several nearby tables and never once came to ours. They were not busy at the whole time we were there. When we finally got to order, Logan acted like he was too busy to really listen to our order. When we received our food, my wife's order was wrong. He took it back and when it came back to us, some of it was cold. She's not the type to complain but I am. We waited a while to get refills and finally just drank the water they had served my wife with her Bloody Mary. We usually don't go to franchise restaurants, we usually eat local only. This will be the last franchise we go to if we are gonna have this kind of snotty service! read more

I am so dissatisfied with this place that I created a Yelp account to do a review on it. This place only gets a star because it is necessary to do the review. Let me just start off by saying that Chili's in particular has never been my first choice in dining. Not any of their locations. The inconsistency alone is enough to swear it off altogether. But, today, I decided to go in there for a light lunch and beer with my friend. We weren't greeted when we walked in, even though there were hardly any customers in the restaurant. Still, that was no surprise. We walked to the bar and seated ourself in the middle. We weren't greeted by the bartender, a Latino in her mid to late twenties, who I had remembered as serving us before at the bar with a bad attitude and absolutely no personality to speak of. After about two or three minutes, she finally got around to us and asked us what we wanted. We told her what we wanted and I was asked for my ID. I had been ID'd by her before and was served immediately after she verified it. But this time, she pointed to the ID and asked condescendingly, "Do you have another ID". I asked why I would need another ID. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't accept the ID because there was a tiny tear where the ID had started peeling in the top right corner. Before I could say anything, my friend told her that she was just being an "ass" and that what she was saying wasn't a real policy but one that she made up. I then snatched my ID away and said that I would go somewhere else. My friend, upset with how all of it was handled by the bartender, decided to call them after we walked out. He talked to the manager on duty, Peggy, and explained the situation. Peggy told him that it was "Chili's policy" with IDs. Not law, CHILI'S POLICY. My friend has many years of corporate experience and so told the woman off for refusing service to me because of that. He explained that since it was a new policy that it should have been explained and let it slide for this one time because it was a new policy, so that customers would understand if they went in regularly. She then told him that "Company policy is more important than customers", which she repeated several times to him - to which he told her that we would not be back. Good luck with that, Chili's. Now that everyone knows your "policy" is more important than your customers, I hope that this messed up mindset reflects on your business. Poor management and training. read more
