UNFAIR ADVANTAGE!! Here I am again at Chili's Bar & Grill writing a review! Besides the fact that Chili's is one of my favorite restaurants, they have not been disappointing at any restaurants since I've been writing reviews. So let me give you what you came for...! PROS: -Service. I've been impressed and I have to give a shout out to Drew (check the pics out) who knew how to come around not too much and not too little. He knew how to keep out drinks full and napkins plentiful. -Food. This is where Chili's has an unfair advantage. The food is so American, so delicious, so cost-efficient, that you can't help but to like it. From the front of the menus to the back, you can't go wrong with an entree unless you are allergic to it. Anyways, before I start naming my favorite dishes, just know that the food is scrumptious...yes....scrumptious. -Atmosphere. When you have a restaurant near an up-and-coming area for shopping, it shows that the company has good business analysts. Great placement of a restaurant. They haven't taken full control of their presence, but they are on their way. The lighting, music, space between tables, bar space, and floor cleanliness all contributed to a pleasant experience. CONS: -Parking. If you come during a big event you will want to car pool. There is parking for across the street, but who wants to walk that much these days? Normal days it seems like you can't fill the lot, but let me tell you it's like borderline just not enough. -I don't know...the bathroom was clean and I don't have anything else I could really use as a con. Overall, this was a great time at Chili's and I don't have any complaints. Tell me what you think. They should keep up the great work and make me their official Chili's guy. J/k. First off, we (my husband and I) walked in and noticed that the restaurant wasn't even 1/4 full with a completely empty section directly to the left of the door, so we were kinda shocked when we were told there would be a 15 minute wait and could not wait on a bench inside even though there was no one else waiting inside. Then 17 minutes later we were told to come back in and were seated in the section that had been completely empty, so we already felt unprioritized and lied to. Then our waiter told us his other table had a birthday and couldn't deal with us until he took care of them. Then they sat a table of 13 at the table closest to us so clearly the section wasn't empty due to social distancing. We waited about 15 minutes to place our order. Then within 5 minutes of our entrees arriving the waiter asked if we would need boxes. Then he brought us boxes and we did not see him again. My wife and I were out looking for "American" cuisine and saw this Chil's. We had low expectations having been to Chili's in the past. Our experience was always that it was loud, your typical tavern menu in a place that should have had the grease scraped from the walls. Boy were we impressed! Varied menu, not a long wait and great service. Oh, the food? It was excellent. You could get a burger but you won't be disappointed with the clever Pork Carnitas Tacos either. After this visit, we tried another Chili's while traveling. We were somewhere between Richmond, and Alexandria Virginia, hungry and hoping for a similar experience- no wait and good food. The food is always very good. There is a bartender, Katie, that can not serve very well at all. She finds one person that wants to talk too and won't pay attention to anyone else that is at the bar. She also leaves the bar stranded for 20 minute periods where no one can be served or even get a drink refilled, or even pay there bill. She is a terrible bartender to have work by herself. read more

Very, very rude, nasty and unfriendly To-Go employee on your weekend daytime shift this weekend. She won't greet you, will shove the food in your window and walk off really angry. Younger female, but did not get her name. Whoever works between 11am and 3 on weekends.. As she handed me my food, she cut the side of my finger shoving the bag in my hand. Went there last night (may 23rd, 2019) at around 8:30. i say the time and date because the hostess was absolutely horrible. She is the reason this place is getting 3 stars rather than 5. We got there to eat after graduation and were told the wait for 5 people would be 20 minutes, that's reasonable for a packed night so we waited. Come 9:15 we were wondering why people who came in after us were already seated and eating so we checked on our hostess and asked. She forgot about us because when she was taking our name she was completely occupied with her friend. She immediately cleared a table and came back grabbed our menus and told us to follow her, we stood there waiting for a minute or two while she finished her conversation with her friend that honestly could've waited. It felt as if she did not care for her job and had other priorities that weren't related to the customers or the service. Our waitress however was amazing, she was funny, kinda, and tentative. The food was also delicious and came out in a timely manner. Just set off by the service we received, the hostess is the first person you encounter when entering a restaurant, they set the tone and the vibe. read more

So I ordered curbside ...online.. and was immediately sent an automatic text that stated : Text 'Here' when you arrive at Chili's to pick up your curbside order. It will be ready at 8:30 PM. Call 904-880-0100 with any questions. I arrived and sent the ' here 'text at 8:20..and this is the response I received, again immediately: Welcome to Chili's. Your order will be ready and delivered to you by 8:30 PM. Call 904-880-0100 for any questions. I waited until 8:40 and then sent another text which stated: .Still here, ....and in response I got : Please call restaurant for any questions.... After waiting 10 more minutes I went inside, waited for 5 minutes for someone to help me, i was instructed to go to the bar and talk to the bartender, they would help me there. I get to the bar and I tell the lady I've been waiting on curbside delivery for 30 minutes, she tells me we don't have curbside delivery at dusk.." we send those people home". Oh...oh really??? Okay cool, so why did I get the texts stating food will be delivered to the car no later than 8:30? Why was there no sign outside stating that? Also in order to do pick up service you had to pay online... Which we did and included a tip. Why was I not able to take the tip off the order. Who wants to tip someone if I had to go in and pick up my order, which by the way wasn't even correct. This is ridiculous. When I asked the lady from the bar about taking the tip off she said, I can't do it..it's already been processed. Are you kidding me? What has happened to customer service? So basically I gave Chili's a tip 20% btw...for screwing up my order, not delivering it, waiting 30 minutes and basically telling me oh well sucks to be you. Point of the story, if you don't deliver curbside, inform your customers. Don't allow us to order curbside, and have us waiting .. and keep my effing tip. Now for years I've been ordering the Cajun pasta at other Chili's establishments and it's usually pretty good. This time it tasted like a pile of assholes. I've eaten at this location quite a few times with friends. The staff are always nice and attentive and the food is always good. This particular time I had the shrimp Cajun pasta, I definitely recommend it. Their burgers are great as well. I was reluctant to go to Chilis for a long time because I tend to be "chain restaurant" adverse. But.... I 'had' to goto to this Chili's for a work function, and I was really surprised at how good the food was. Service was great, and the prices reasonable. The menu has been majorly revamped since my most recent visit many years ago. I tried the southwest salad which had a really nice kick to it. I also had the chicken strips which were cooked great. The parking is abundant at this location, and it is very clean. I look forward to heading back! read more

Two days after Hurricane Irma and this Chili's is packed. Manager mentioned most of the servers had been there all day, and I'm sure they were short staffed as many of their team are most likely affected by storm damage and power outages. However, the entire staff were in great spirits, service to be seated and served was quick and friendly, and very accommodating. Most restaurants fully staffed on a normal day aren't this together. Clearly, the manager on staff tonight had it on lock down. A special shout out to Lindsay, our server because she took great care of us. Loved that someone was at the door and thanked every customer as they left for coming in. Nice job, Chili's on Old St Augustine road. You made my otherwise stressful week much better. read more

We called in our order for pick up around 7pm on Saturday, so they were a little busy. We ordered 3 burgers to be picked up and we were a couple minutes early. We paid for our order and was told we could wait in our car and she would bring it. A few minutes later, I then watched her put our fresh hot order on the window sill (thinking, no way thats ours) as she greated the good looking gentleman who just came in, she the proceeded to make him two drinks, letting our food sit and get cold. I went in and got our food. Got home, no bbq sauce or pickle for our burgers as stated in menu nor any advocado on a different burger. Once i put some fried onions and baby rays bbq sauce the burger was awesome, not good enough to come back though. $38 food & $5 tip (pick up at that) soo NOT worth it read more

I wanted to write a review after reading some negative ones. For the food and bartender I give 5 stars. This was the BEST Chilis food-wise I have been to. My husband and I got the chicken fajitas. They actually looked like those beautiful pictures in advertisements. Tons of juicy chicken, peppers and onions. Paulette gave us lots of attention. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is due to 2 male employees at the bar who argued about whose job it is to do what. Not professional with a customer sitting next to them. If I ever pass through here again I would definitely return to this Chilis. read more

Chili's has fantastic chips and salsa, but be weary of their margaritas. It's easy to miss that they're more watered down when you can get them 2-for-1. The bartenders are always great people, at any location, and the waitstaff are awesome to boot. Not sure what to order? You can get helpful recommendations from your server. read more

THE WORST! Would give zero stars if I could. Sat at the bar which was filthy and should have been my first clue. Ordered a cocktail, got it in a dirty glass with food stuck to the side, waitress didn't apologize and rolled her eyes at me. Ordered food finally after the waitress seemingly ignored me after I complained about my glass. She repeated the order correct and it came to me wrong. I advised her I had a flight to catch and couldn't wait to get a new order so I would eat around the items I asked not to be on my nachos. Had to ask for my bill because she was once again ignoring me and she charged me full price for everything. I asked was she going to at least discount my food as I couldn't even eat all of it due to allergies and she said "no, I offered to remake it for you so that's on you". What?!?!? Ate at Chili's last night....this is usually one of my faves. Our server was attentive and friendly. The steak was cooked the way I asked; it was tender and the flavor I'd give a B-. My only complaint was that the chips and salsa we ordered as a appetizer weren't warm but we didn't say anything to our server :/ For dessert (which was free because I'm on their email list) was quite yummy - Salted Caramel Molten Lava. read more

The service is AWFUL, and one time I went I was talked about behind my back by my waitress and a co worker. My wife and I had dinner here, like many times before, on 12/3, around 6:30. It was busy, but did not have to wait for a table. Waiter was prompt. We started with chips and queso. Queso was a little paste-y. Thick. Chips were super salty. My entree was spicy shrimp tacos. Temperature was lukewarm and there was no spicy at all. Beans and rice were good. My wife had enchiladas, which she seemed to enjoy. Def had higher expectations, as it had been awhile since our last visit. Stick with the regular menu and get the fajitas. read more

I really like this place. They are clean. The service is great and the people seem genuine to me. I would recommend this place to anyone especially since its one of the few restaurants in the area. My only complaint is that their ToGo service is not that great. Several times ive had to turn around because my order was wrong. Then i would have to wait another 10-15 mins for my meal to get cooked. I could go inside for that but other than that, this is my favorite Chili's to go to. read more

My review will generally be applicable to the entire chain, but since this location is closest to me I am reviewing it. This location hold some special meaning for me, as this is one of the first places the Mrs. and I went for dinner date. Also, I worked for this Company as a cook previously many many years ago at a different location, so I'm familiar with their long-standing menu. This location is always very busy, and the quality of the food and Service are comparable to other locations. This is not one of our favorite establishments, however it is also one of the better chains. My favorite thing is frankly the chips and salsa with queso, or the Southwest eggrolls. When we do eat dinner here, I typically either get a burger or the chicken crispers. My wife will get the fajitas. The last few times we have eaten at one of these establishments (not this location), there were problems getting the order correct, and frankly the food was not such that we have been compelled to return. Their happy hour specials are decent, though the frozen drinks are all mix, so I typically will get a margarita on the rocks. They will often have a 2/$20 special going on, which is a good value for a couple to go out to dinner, though this will not include alcohol. All they're not in our current rotation of restaurants, if one is looking for a reasonably price location with standard Tex-Mex fare, this may fit the bill. read more

I visited this evening and had met a friend who checked in via the app. The app stated 14 minutes and when we arrived we were told we were next. After waiting 30 minutes we overheard a manager tell the hostess to stall they had a cook walk out. This is the first time I have been back in a few months when something similar happened at this restaurant. So not to be seated and wait forever like last time, we left tonight. Last time I waited 30 minutes once again after using the app, before seating at a table in the bar. Then our food took an hour to come out cold and prepared wrong. The waitress had the food remade, and mine came out wrong a second time. The manager waved our bill and apologized for our 2+ hours at Chili's. Sounds like we probably should never come back. Where to begin??? We show up at around 6 pm. The place is nearly empty. We stand at the hostess station for ten minutes waiting on someone to seat us. There were open tables everywhere and no one in a line. No one acknowledged our existence. Servers walked by without a word. When we finally get sat the waitress disappears for twenty minutes before coming to order our drinks. It takes another ten minutes to get those drinks. We try to order but she runs off again. Finally, after being there for almost an hour we get to order. The order takes a long time, close to forty minutes to get there. Everything tastes like it had been literally marinated in salt. We are locals and have frequented Chili's on Old St. Augustine for the past 4 yrs at the bar; it's a nice neighborhood kinda feel . Bartenders have always made us feel welcome and at home. New chick Lindsey, do you even have a smile? Very efficient but you made me fell like I was a chore and it was actually my birthday and retirement day and when you asked me how my day was and I said really great you said that's nice and walked away. Get a personality and a smile and we might leave you a bigger tip. Went there to celebrate but you added nothing. read more
