I am a devoted Chili's fan, but I will never go to THIS Chili's ever again. We ordered food To Go online, and arrived at the time our order was supposed to be ready. Waited for 30 minutes. Was told that chicken tenders were being cooked. Waited another 15 minutes before speaking to a manager who said that the way online orders come in is "they just pop up and we don't know they're coming." .....right. That's kind of how online food orders work. Unless you're telepathic, in which case, props. Not only did we (along with 7 others who came in for their food and were in our same boat since they didn't send a telepathic heads up to the staff) wait for nearly an hour for our food, but when we finally got it home and sat down to eat, IT WAS STONE COLD. Meaning it had been ready the whole time. Meaning we waited an hour for no reason. Meaning this is, effectively, the saddest Chili's to date. BEWARE THE KNIGHTDALE CHILI'S. If less than one star were possible, thats what i would give. My daughter and I went for lunch last week. We were seated in the bar and there were 4 tables. I ordered an appetizer plater as my lunch and my daughter ordered a flat bread. It took 23 minutes to get our food in an empty restaurant and it was tasteless and overcooked. Not sure why I went back to this place. Thought maybe things would have gotten better. Nope, not at all. We reluctantly placed an online order last evening. Arrived within the stated time window when the order was to be ready (approx 30 minutes after order placed). Low and behold the order was not ready. Also, it appeared that the several others waiting in the ToGo lobby and the parking lot, many others were not ready as well. Chilis staff refused to acknowledge anyone in the lobby. After numerous attempts to get anyone that worked there to speak, we were told it would be another 10-15 minutes. This same time was repeated to us multiple times after waiting the original 10-15 minutes. Requests to speak to a manager were dismissed and ignored. After waiting close to 2 hrs for our food it finally arrived!! Everyone in lobby cheered after witnessing this miracle. Now that we have our food in hand we proceeded home to enjoy it. Once home the food was cold and soggy. After spending time in the microwave to restore the heat to it, the meal was abnormally poor. My advise to anyone considering this location, please avoid at all costs. This place is not worth the time, money, quality, and service. This Chili's location is in a free-fall decline, as of the past year or so. Rude, short and snappy staff, long waits for simple items/refills during lunch hour, and food quality is sub-par at best. If you have an extra 10 minutes to spare, you won't regret choosing the Chili's by Triangle Town Center on Capital Blvd instead, where the staff and kitchen are friendly, competent and worth the $$. A few days ago around 9-10p my sister and i called in an order and when we got there the guy Brayden told us their system was down and he has to write down the order and he was trying his best to hurry everything up. You could tell he had a long day. And instead of looking stressed and upset he continued to show gr8 customer service. He apologized for the wait, asked if we needed anything and allowed up to place 2 more orders. He was so nice i asked to speak to the manager on duty- Matthew. Matthew was just as kind and had a big smile on his face. The system came back on and he rang everything up with no problem. I've now been waiting over an hour on my to go order. 30 minutes in the parking lot we'll after it's supposed to be done. This isn't the first time I've had to wait for my food at this location. It's always slow and all the employees walk around you and disregard your presence. During my wait I witnessed a to go employee give a customer the wrong order, go to the car and retrieve the food to give to the correct customer. There is a pandemic.. you know where im going with this. It's unacceptable period. Also there are dirty shoes under the counter. Came in on July 3rd around 1:30pm for lunch with my family. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 toddlers needing high chairs. The host greeted us and unfortunately informed us they could not seat a party our size as the main part of the dining room was closed. She told us that only the bar area tables and one row of booths were open and that they only had 2 servers working that day. I've worked in restaurants for 13 years and I've never seen an establishment literally tell us "sorry we can't accommodate you". I understand being short staffed and only having 2 servers, however I asked the host if we could have a table right next to a booth that was available/open and we would be extremely patient with our server since we know they are short staffed. She literally said that part of the dining room is closed. I guess I just don't see that as a valid reason to turn someone away. Had she said "I'm sorry we only have 2 servers and they both have 4-5 tables each and simple cannot handle a group of your size at the moment" we would have been understanding. I even asked how long the wait would be(thinking maybe once another table gets up one of the servers would be able to accommodate our group) and she still said no, we don't have a table large enough to seat you. Like I said I understand closing a part of the dining room especially during lunch and only having two servers, however I've never worked or eaten anywhere that literally refused to sit us because we had two many people(which 7 people is no where near "too many) For a restaurant that is desperately in need of hiring, you may want to treat the guests who still come in with a little more respect. read more

Tonight was a disaster. I ordered curbside pickup and when I arrived, I texted "here" as I was supposed to do. No one ever came to my vehicle with my food, so I was forced to go inside to get it myself. When I went in, the place was a mess. Other patrons were waiting and complaining about not receiving their orders in a timely manner or it being prepared the wrong way. I looked on a receiving shelf and my food was sitting there in a bag. It was supposed to have been brought to my car. I took my bag, went to the car to check it only to see that it was cold AND had been prepared wrong. To make a long story short, I took it back inside and demanded a refund. I didn't trust them to prepare my food over and they were still backed up and working in chaos. This was the worse experience ever. We were suppose to have 6 people for dinner, I'm glad it was only 3. We arrived at 5:30pm 04/27/2021 and was told there was going to be about a 20min wait. The wait time was extended by about 20 more minutes because they did not have enough servers on duty. Chili's was actually turning away customers. Once we were seated, we had an awesome server (Simone), however, due to inadequate kitchen staffing, we were told that it would be almost 30 to 45 minute wait for us to get our food (We all ordered the Triple Dipper). We decided to go ahead and order drinks.... The bartender was backed up and the servers that were working was trying to assist her. It took us 20mins to get our drinks. My Presidente' Margarita was served to me in a badly chipped glass. If it was not for our server, Simone, the whole experience at Chili's in Knightdale would have been disaster. I don not recommend and will no recommend anyone ever visiting this particular Chili's :( read more

They seem extremely under staffed. With only 2 servers visible, and one bartender, the last two times I went. The hosts seem to not know how to put in a friendly face. Waits are incredibly long (understandably so if they really are understaffed). Only good thing about this place is the bartender. Getting our drinks took forever and the waiter didn't take our dinner order until we were there for an hour. Yes, I said an hour. I asked another waiter to get the manager and the manager allowed our waiter to shooo him away. He never checked on us. At 1.5 hours there with our dinner menus still on the table we walked out. Shame on the management for not checking on us and making sure we were ok Can I give it zero stars? I would if I could. Please don't put their special events in their hands. My time has been wasted. People, let me explain how this "wonderful business" really works. Called to place a Togo order, had to try three times before giving up and ordering online. I accidentally messed something up in my online order (hence why I tried to place it over the phone) so I called immediately to notify them to change it. Called 6 times before someone answered, and was put on hold for another 5 minutes. When someone finally picked up the phone all she said was to remind them when we come to pick up the order and hung up before I could ask her to include some extra sauces. The sad thing is, I understand why no one picked up the phone and it took so long to speak with someone. Every time we dine at this location it seems understaffed with flustered staff taking extremely too long to perform any task. The food ended up good as it normally does which is why I didn't give it one star. read more

Our waiter started to one and rapidly went down. Our food was good, but we waited almost 20 minutes after we were done for our check. At this point we had to wait. He was no where to be found and when he did finally appear he told us to use the machine to check out, we tried and he tried 3 machines before we were finally able to check out. We got a used and dirty Kid's menu, and the adult menu had syrup and fried chicken crust in it! I ordered chicken and waffles and it came out without waffles. All on its own is not major (except the floors, seriously clean your damn floors!) but all on the same visit was ridiculous. Get new management or shut this shit hole down. We had to wait 30mins to get acknowledged by someone & the only reason we got acknowledged is because I got up to look for someone to take our order. To make it easy on our waitress we ordered our drinks and food all at once to avoid her having to come back and forth to check on us. At that point they should've never charged us $3 for a drink we couldn't even drink. Our table wasn't the only one who was being ignored. All the customers kept looking at each other wondering what happened with our waitress because she was no where to be found. There was several waitresses there so it wasn't like they were short staffed , they were just too busy on their phones and playing around in the kitchen to check on their customers. The manager was having to go back & forth apologizing to several people about their delay on their orders after people complained to her. The manager was trying to pick up the slack of at least 7 waitresses who were just playing around or disappearing on their phones. Our waitress apologized for the bad service by saying they were short staffed when they weren't. Our waitress seemed sorry after I had to look for her about 5 times, but that will not justify how bad of a service we had today. We weren't even a big table, we were only 3 people. Tonight will be enough to make me never come back to chilies in Knightdale. I'm pretty sure more could be done at that restaurant but they are just hiring very lazy people to work there. I came with a couple friends, got put on the wait list. Hostess was rude. Got sat, things were clean and spaced out which was good. Our server Shannon was great, kind and fast with refills. My food came out with pieces of chicken (I don't eat meat and asked for no chicken). Manager and server handled it well, took it off my bill and had it remade. BAM it comes out with chicken pieces in it again. Not sure if the pasta was premixed or what but having meat come out in a vegetarians food twice in a row is not acceptable. I love Chili's, but this location is one of the worse I've been to. Everytime I go, something goes wrong. On one occasion, I went with my boyfriend and we ordered wings and soup. I asked for the baked potato soup with no chives and he asked for traditional wings. We sat for about 45 minutes before we called our waitress over and told her we hadn't received our food. The look on her face made me believe she forgot to put the order in. When we did finally receive our food, both orders were wrong. That's the first time I've ever walked out of a restaurant in my entire life. On another occasion, we went in to order to go. We walked in, the girl running the to go counter looked at us, she was taking an order on the phone. Once she hung up, she completely ignored us for about 10 minutes before she finally acknowledged us and took our order. Not only this, but almost everytime I've gone there and ordered ORIGINAL chicken crispers, I've been given the crispy. I make sure to specifically ask for original because this happens almost every time. And everytime, it's wrong and I have to send it back. It's disappointing. Do not do curbside service with the store! It took me over an hour to get my food. There was no responsible manager on duty who could answer my concerns. They said they could not refund my money without filling out a form and faxing it to corporate. My food was cold. I received no apologies no compensation, No one would take ownership for the issue or the horrible service. I was given the number to corporate which closes at five so that was no help and the general managers card had only the store number. I asked for his cell phone and called only to receive his voicemail that was full and no longer excepting messages. Do not waste your time or your money with the store. read more

I stopped here for an early lunch. The hostess sat all tables in one section immediately slamming the poor waitress by seating like that. I want to say the our waitress Brandy handled everyone with quick service and a ready smile and laugh. Although she was busy. Brandy took time to make sure all of her tables were well taken care of. Brandy made what could have been a difficult seating into quick, efficient service of her guests. I had the shrimp tacos which, while different, were very good. The food was good and appealing. I would recommend everyone to give Chilis another shot as i found the service excellent. Four stars because the hostess buried the waitress at the beginning of the lunch hour. read more

We hadn't eaten here in several years and tonight reinforced why. We walked in to an 88 sanitation rating. Really? My husband was not impressed by the wide selection of 4 beers on draft, and it went down from there. We ordered dinner and after a long wait, I asked where my salad was. Since I had ordered the flatbread as an entree, they were apparently going to bring my salad then as well, but said my salad was on the way. Three bites into my salad and our entrees show up. Seriously? Of course, there is no room at the two seater table and we have food everywhere. My husband's tacos were cold, the paper they were wrapped in had stuck to the tortillas, and the ends had gotten dry, like they had been under the lights a while. My flatbread could have been frozen from a box for all I know, as I have had some decent frozen flatbread. Also, the table next to us sat uncleaned for over half an hour, and they were not that busy.
