We were seated right away, our waitress was great, friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy but not too bad. I ordered the Chicken Honey Chipotle crisper sandwich. That chipotle sauce is dang delicious! The chicken was crispy and moist. The breast was a generous piece, the bun handled the sauce beautifully and didn't fall apart. It came with Mac and cheese and fries. I didn't care for the mac and cheese because the cheese sauce was super watery. The flavor was good though. All in all I enjoyed my dinner and would get this again... minus the Mac and cheese. read more

The restaurant was so busy and they seemed slightly understaffed but you wouldn't even be able to tell! He rushed to get everything we needed and more. We were a party of 13 (6 adults and 7 kids) and was placed at 2 tables put together that would normally sit 4 per table. Cramped, hungry and thirsty we began our adventure at Chili's. We order chips for the table and our server brings 2 batches with salsa that are $6.99 each. They used to bring these free. Drinks arrive and food orders taken. Our server was good but his supporting cast were horrible. He seemed to have no help. I ordered the Triple Dipper with bone-in-wings, sliders and Tenders. It was just okay and they up charged me because I got bone in wings. Food was okay and service was fine for only 1 person doing all the work. He took off 1 chips because I was a VIP member but felt he should have taken both off for slow service and wife paying for soup and salad combo. The server Landon showed discrimination of age towards a group of guests. He profiled and assumed he wouldn't be tipped well and made a scene about taking the group. This caused confusion and embarrassment. I would hope this situation would be reviewed by a manager so it doesn't happen again. The food was simply awesome. Their potato soup is great old hamburger is very well-made with crispy edges and juicy middle. Our waiter was very courteous and was attentive to our needs. We ate later in the evening, so there was no wait time. We will go back as we've done so many times. I'm gonna try the skillet fajitas. Ordered the Surf 'N Turf that was supposed to have a garlic spread on a 10 oz steak, also included are 12 grilled shrimp, with a side of asparagus and a house salad. The steak had absolutely NO garlic flavor whatsoever and was so tough I couldn't quite exactly cut it with a fork and knife. Basically I had to pull it apart with my bare hands! The shrimp are so tiny, you have to actually count if you receive the whole dozen. It appeared that I did. The photos I took are up close with the camera on zoom; trust me, they are NOT that large in person! The asparagus was okay. The house salad that I added on the side was rather small but also okay. Definitely nothing to write home about. For the price, I was very disappointed. I've paid less for A LOT more and a more satisfying, juicy steak that can actually be cut! The restaurant wasn't that busy so not quite sure why it was substandard. That said, I'll venture elsewhere next time I want a steak! read more

Chills has always been an amazing place to go and after a long day having dinner with my family was amazing the chicken tenders were the best I have ever had I normally am not the biggest fan of chicken tenders but some how theirs were just right not to mention all the refills and our kind server made it a nice way to cap off a busy day one minor note I saw a few flies I know that all restaurants get these from time to time just something so that the staff is aware but if you have one near you definitely give it a chance it will be worth it read more

It's truly inspiring to witness such exceptional displays of leadership especially when a restaurant manager feels the need to squash a moment of joy, connection, and celebration with the emotional maturity of a middle school hall monitor. Our group was simply enjoying a birthday, laughing and talking like any normal, happy group would, and somehow, that warranted condescending remarks, being singled out, and a complete overreaction. Watching someone react to basic human happiness with misplaced hostility really sets the bar for how not to manage a space meant for enjoyment. Imagine the revolutionary concept of treating guests with kindness and respect maybe addressing concerns privately, using a calm tone, or even, dare I say, welcoming the celebration to build rapport instead of tearing it down. But I suppose professionalism and emotional intelligence are optional when you're too busy micromanaging smiles. I genuinely hope he's proud of his two-minute ego trip it must be so satisfying to flex imaginary authority on a group just trying to celebrate a birthday. Alright so I will start off with this was a visit to complete our "nostalgic dining" tour of stuff we ate in college because we could afford it and wanted to see how it compares as an adult. Our expectations were low. The drinks were great and our server was so wonderful hence the 2 stars. I'd come back for the chips, queso, salsa, and drinks. the brisket quesadilla had so much BBQ sauce, I didn't even finish 1/2 of it. The CBR quesadilla was definitely edible and tasted exactly as I remembered to be honest. Nothing amazing. The honey chipotle chicken crispers were okay. the chicken inside was super dry but I liked the external flavor haha. Egg rolls are nasty. Mini sliders were better than egg rolls worse than chicken. also, they couldn't serve the chilis happy hour specialty drink of the month because it has too much alcohol in it for Utah so that is unfortunate but that's what happens living here. I'd go back for queso and drinks and maybe try a different chicken crisper if I got desperate. read more

This isn't one of Chili's "prime" locations and we end up here out of a) extreme hunger or b) that's about it. This store is different. It's dirtier than most Chili's (this visit had about 1/2 an order of fries on the floor under our table amidst the other 'stuff') and there isn't as much care put in to the food. Inconsistent is a good way to describe the cuisine and while I generally like the fare on the menu, it's hit or miss in seasoning and taste in this location. It's not horrible but it isn't really good, either. The store us slow most of the time so you can at least get a table pretty reasonably in this otherwise booming restaurant town. read more

We normally love going to chili's but this time wasn't great, the waitress was good, but food was not, we started out with a dirty spoon that looked like someone just sucked chocolate cake off of it! I almost lost my appetite, (sharing a picture) my husband ordered the fajitas and during his meal he bit into a piece of something like chalk, and then my brother in law out of town from California got a dry hamburger! Two managers ended up coming over to our table during our one hour visit. They ended up taking care of our bill, but all the mistakes that were made weren't worth eating there again! We tried to have Chili's delivered again tonight, but never again. Our perhaps we should have ordered from the Riverdale store. The Texas Cheese Fries were a cold, congealed block that couldn't be separated. The flour tortillas of the nachos were burned, then they were stacked into a plastic container, where they became soggy and all stuck together. The burgers just tasted really bad. We won't be eating there again - whether in-store, or delivery. read more

I've reviewed a previous experience for this location. My wife chose this location for lunch one day 4/19/22. I was completely surprised she would do this based on the last experience we had. Let me say, I think the fact that it was lunch time vs dinner time made a huge difference in experience. The entire time I was anticipating terrible food and service and I was really surprised. We were immediately greeted by a host and seated quickly in the bar area. The waitress was quick to our table to ask for drink order. She was witty, polite and engaging. When we ordered something, it was as if she entered the items on a tablet and someone from the back would run the items out almost immediately. I have to say it was pretty awesome. My wife ordered the penne and i the lunch chicken fajitas. Chips salsa and queso was first to come out. The queso was actually warm tasted good. The entrees came out rather quickly. Both were hot and delicious. For this experience: The service was a 10 The food was a 10 I really wish I remembered the waitresses name because this was like a totally different restaurant. This place need to shut down. It puts a bad mark for all other Chili's restaurants. The host seems lost and confused. There was a line out the door but barely anyone seated. The restaurant is filthy! The table we sat in had some type of crumbs all over it. It was sticky or some resin was everywhere! It was a terrible way to start off our meal. We were taking family out for lunch so we ignored it in the hopes of making the best of a bad situation. Unfortunately it got worse! There is this screen that the kids can't help but play with. So it charged us for some games they started playing with. The food was OK. Definitely not worth all the hassle we went through. Especially coming into a dirty restaurant with just OK food? Not worth it! And the added inconveniences such as the tablet that comes on the table which in my opinion is designed to specifically attract kids...that's just a step too far! read more

A mother and her two girls (teen) were eating across from us. One of the daughters had cancer. The store was having a slight technical issue (5 mins) with the payment system, overheard from another table. The daughters headed to the car early and mom stayed behind to pay. I offered to pay to allow the mom to head out and take care her girls. She reluctantly accepted. If you go to a bar in Spain it's common to see trash pile up the floor throughout the evening as they turn tables. If you want that same experience in the US, come to Chili's here in Layton. Walked in, they tried to sit us at a table that had trash under the table and extending out into the aisle. I was about to ask us to be reseated at a different table, but in walking to look for one I continued to step over trash piles. This was 8:30pm on a Tuesday and no crowd (we were seated as soon as we walked in). Sad thing was I was trying to convince my buddy to eat at Chili's again as he had a bad experience the last time he was at this Layton Chili's and I enjoy the one in my hometown. This Chili's has tried to reinvent itself. We used to come here at least once a week. They hired a few bad bartenders/staff and chased us away. We came when they never cleaned up after customers so there were too many dirty tables to count. Also, the staff didn't seem to care one way or the other if you enjoyed your meal. They have improved since then for sure. My latest visit was work related and the server was very friendly and helpful. The pay at your table kiosk was handy and made things easy. Ordered delivery to a nearby hotel. Meat was not cooked as requested, salad was wilted and brown. Maybe they do better if you dine-in.

Horrible service. Waited an hour still couldn't sit us, and very poor customer service. Won't go back to that location ever again.

Server was wonderful, but food was cold, overcooked and appeared that it had been sitting for a long time under the heat lamp.
