Lossless service great food and atmospheric quality I always enjoy being there, that's what hospitality is all about.

Oh my my. This review is ALL about the guiltless sirloin! Omg. I wanted to stick with something that didn't break the calorie bank - especially because I had to eat the chips and guacamole lol. So I opted for the 10 ounce sirloin topped with salsa and a cilantro cream with the roast asparagus. I like it rare, and it came rare just as I asked. Can I tell you? This was one tasty and incredibly satisfying meal!!! The steak was cooked perfectly. The cream and the salsa on top were not overpowering and went great with the meat. And to be honest, that isn't usually my thing. I usually want my meat straight up but tonight it sounded good. And boy was it. The asparagus was cooked well and were nice fresh thick stalks. I can't wait to go back and have that steak again. Not kidding. It was that good!

This is one of the better Chili's restaurants around the area. The service is good here. The food comes out quickly and it's very reliable. We have been to the others in the area and they are far inferior to this one. The servers are always around so you're never without drinks or chips. I chose the triple dipper after my daughter got it last time and it looked good. She got it again today. She opted for the sliders, wings, and mozzarella. I had the rolls, wings and mozzarella. The fried mozzarella isn't those measly sticks like the kids' menu staples we all are used to. These are big hearty slices of mozzarella that are melty and stingy and hold up well with the crispy tasty coating. The rolls are filled with meat and beans and corn and are very good. The wings are crispy and tasty. It's a nice plate if you're looking for some fried indulgence.

My friend said "I know you hate chain food restaurants but I want to try things in their menu". Here we are! The food we ordered was very tasty. We got the platters which consisted of 3 different items. Being very indecisive eaters, this was a great opportunity to try a little bit of everything in one plate. The food did not disappoint. We were seated in a comfortable area, however, our server asked us 20+ times if everything was good. A couple of times is fine but we then have to answer questions with our mouths full of food 20+ times. She wasn't even this attentive when we were ready to order drinks/food.

Come see Jackie at the bar M-F. She is an angel. I got food to go with the impending weather. It's Presidente Day.

Whether it's in a strip mall or not is irrelevant (mentioning it only for those who chose to ignorantly judge that aspect), as it's the quality of the place that counts over where it's located. I've been in the area before, but didn't notice it. It was only after seeing it was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares did it pique my interest. After seeing the episode, I made it a point to come here and try this place. I was glad I did. As mentioned, inside is really nice and my kind of place. Very comfortable, casual, and a good spot to get a meal or just to hang out. With so many TV's, I would imagine that this would make a great sports bar/restaurant as well. There's a choice of table, booth, or bar to sit and I chose the booth as I usually do. The food menu is pretty decent and filled with enough options. I chose the Mozzarella sticks for the table and the 'Lunch Money Burger' for myself. The sticks were pretty big, but tasted good. The burger was okay, but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. The fries had a unique taste to them and were quite good. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Parking is plentiful as this does share the space with several other businesses since it's located in a mall. Overall, this is a nice place that I'd have come to whether or not it was featured in the show. Being on the show is what got me to notice this place and now that I know it's here, if I'm in the area again I would surely come back.

There is outdoor and indoor dining but since it was blazing hot out I opted to stay inside in the cool AC. Came for brunch on a Sunday so had to try their sangria. It was really refreshing and perfect for a warm day. For entrees, we ordered the short rib hash, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs. I had a little of each, but my favorite was the short rib hash. Great flavor and the sauce was fantastic. The steak had a perfect cook on it, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful as well. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. He recommended a good dessert which we ended up splitting. When in doubt go with the chocolate brownie Esther vanilla ice cream !

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

We decided to have lunch as first-timers at their Wayne location situated in the Wayne Towne Center (Route 23 South). As one steps inside, one is greeted by the staff in an energetic ambiance, with multiple TVs showcasing live sports and an inviting bar stocked with an impressive selection of local craft beers and cocktails. The host led us to a booth in the main dining room. The decor radiates a modern yet cozy vibe, making it the perfect setting for a casual family dinner or a night out with friends. Their sizable menu features their specialty wings, burgers, coal-fired pizza, sushi, salads, and sandwiches. It also offers an extensive craft beer menu, whiskey selections, and specialty cocktails. As an appetizer to share, my partner and I opted for the Breaded Wisconsin Cheese Curds with marinara sauce. We ordered the Veggie Crunch Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sandwich, accompanied by fries. To wash them down, we decided on the Hugo Spritz and Pomegranate Spritz. Food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Every dish was perfectly made. Portions were healthy and the price reasonable. Our server Kelly was friendly and professional and wanted to make sure we were happy. Additional personal touches, such as management checking in on tables, left us feeling valued and appreciated. The bar is always lively, filled with friendly patrons and enough tv's to watch sporting events. Good beer selection as well. My last visit here was a tad underwhelming, as I found the service lacking. Upon being seated, our server took our drink orders and then proceeded to come back every three minutes or so to ask if we were ready to put our food order in. Despite us responding that we wanted to relax and have a drink before ordering our food, she was relentless in coming back to us. It got to the point where I thought she was going to pull up a chair and simply wait for us to give her our food order. She finally wore us down and we ordered a pizza, not because we were ready to order but simply to give us a chance to relax and enjoy our drinks. We ordered a pizza with Meatball and Extra Sauce. The Extra Sauce request was somehow misinterpreted as a cup of Marinara Sauce placed in the middle of the Pizza Pie. I kid you not - see attached photo. What most frustrated us however was that after coming to our table three times in five minutes to gather our food order, she apparently entered the Witness Protection Program once our Food Order was in. I had to track her down at one point after waiting about 10 or 15 minutes to order a second round of drinks. We also had the misfortune of sitting next to a rather loud foursome who spoke at a volume befitting a Prize Fight Announcer. Now, I understand an Establishment certainly can't ask a customer to lower their voice. But there were very few patrons in the dining room that night and we were seated amongst a cluster of tables while the vast remainder of the dining area remained open. I get that you don't want to seat people at opposite sides of the restaurant, but come on, you could have spaced us out a little better than that. Like other reviewers on here, I would agree the service is generally hit or mis. There have been occasions where our servers were attentive, courteous and accommodating. I can only attribute the inconsistency in service to a lack of training and supervision. Nevertheless, Maggie's remains one of my "go-to's" and I would recommend it to those who have yet to try.

I stood in a quaint restaurant perched above the Passaic River with my peepers puzzledly peeping a…read moresign that read "Gene the Pinning Machine." The interior was a quirky mix of hand-painted nautical scenes and a shrine to -- who I presumed was -- a wildly successful collegiate wrestler, Mean Gene Mills. "Do you like spicy food?" a voice piped up from behind me. "Yeah, sure." I replied, turning to see a sprightly older man sporting wide glasses and a leather jacket. I'd noticed him earlier rolling up on a three-wheeled motorcycle as I approached the place, parking it neatly around the side. "I'd go for the Chili Dog and the Big Kahuna," he suggested with a grin, adding, "The chili's not spicy but it's damn good." As it happened, I'd already ordered a pair of chili dogs but I nodded appreciatively. "I'll have to try the Kahuna next time." I said. The man introduced himself as the owner and brother of the locally lionized Gene the Pinning Machine. I could see he was proud of his brother's legacy and this hotdog spot he seemed to view as a hobby. "I'm in real estate mostly," he explained. "The hotdog stand is just for fun. I always wanted a spot by the river, saw this place and snapped it up." And he spoke of it like a hobbyist. He told me about his sausage guy up in upstate New York who hand-makes the dogs, sausages, and casings fuel his culinary creations. While some joints boil or fry their hot dogs, he opts for a series of convection ovens--air-frying them. A quirky and distinctive twist I haven't seen before. It's that hobbyist's eye, as I am saying. We chatted a bit longer before he ducked behind the counter to check in with the kids working the line. He greeted each one with a warm chummy hug and their faces lit up at the sight of him. It was clear from the easy banter that he's a boss who's genuinely well-liked. Now, about that dog: An air-fried hot dog feels a little out there--like baking one, you'd figure it'd dry out. But honestly? It wasn't half bad. Crisp on the outside, yet still decently average on the hot-dog-o-meter. Definitely a step up from the boiled variety. The chili, though? Hands down, phenomenal. That, along with the sausage, comes from his guy up in Syracuse -- the same one crafting those hot dogs. Is it worth hauling a box truck to upstate New York for? Hard to say. But it's absolutely worth my five-minute drive to Woodlandd Park to eat. The prices feel right in line with what you'd expect from a boutique roadside spot like this. The interior's compact--think a pair of small tables and a counter. Out back back there's a small deck with a few tables and chairs overlooking the river. Could be a sweet spot when the weather's kind. The menu is substantial with the addition of an ice cream bar, all Gelotti which is a North Jersey staple. The hotdog is a pretty humble food-stuff, if you like them then you won't be disappointed here. It's worth a stop for lunch if you're ever in town.

I went back a few days after my first visit because they were THAT good. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, Wayne Mills. We had a lovely conversation about how he opened Lover Dogs and how Lover Dogs has been his dream retirement. On the walls, there are photos of his brother Gene who was a renowned wrestler in the 80s. Wayne gave me a tour of the outdoor patio and the downstairs area that he plans to expand for breakfast/brunch. The patio area overlooks a nice view of the Passaic River. After the little tour, I ate my all the way hot dog. Lover Dogs hot dogs are air-fried which I thought was very unique. The chilli sauce is out of this world. Super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Wayne explained that he spent a long time perfecting the recipe and worked with several people to develop. The hot dogs are Hoffman brand which he discovered when he visited his brother many years ago at Syracuse University. It was really nice to see Wayne pay homage to the previous building owners with a framed collage on the wall. I am a local history nerd so I really loved seeing all of the old photos dating back to the early 1900s. Please visit this awesome local business!
