I ate hear on Wednesday, August 1st at about 2pm. We arrived and took a table seat in the bar area. We had to wait about 15 minutes before I went to the bartender to let her know we wanted to place our order. There were no other diners other than us and she was busy chatting it up with the people at the bar. I ordered the old timer burger, it's supposed to have sliced red onions on it and did not. I had to get up from our table and go to the bar to have the bartender rectify this. While we were eating the bartender didn't bother to check on us. I would have to go to the bar to get refills of my drink. It was all in all a bad dining experience. read more

Our order was taken 10 min after we arrived. We waited an additional 40 min and still had not received our orders for 3. We only ordered soup, chilli, and chicken strips, and quesadillas, nothing fancy. We got no refill orders for my ice tea or our beers. 2 tables of customers that arrived 15 after us were served. As we were giving up and paying our bar tab, our food arrived. We sent it back. A few other customers were pleased with the service. It was a go to very often for the family. Never again! read more

Just want to Thank the entire Staff/Management at Chili's Kettleman location. We were greeted at the door by Host Mariah, then we had Waitress Aubray take our order and assisted us in getting some information on items on their menu. Manager Gary came out to talk with us and helped my wife with her questions. All three of these People were very friendly and went over and beyond to help us. This made our day and knowing that there are caring people who exemplify quality standards and are examples of excellence at work. The food was top notch also. What happened to customer service. I ordered a 16 piece boneless wings and fries. How simple is that when you first open the door? Maybe a Sixteen piece was too complicated. 1. I blame the management for not being a Manager but a Co-Worker or Friend. That is not being a manager. 2. Kitchen Management again Franchise management is the problem. The on duty manager admitted there was a problem but refused twice to do anything about the SOURCE of the Problem. He asked what I wanted to make the problem go away. A real manager would have gone to the KITCHEN and asked what happened! Was he afraid that asking would hurt his friendship with the Kitchen Staff? I guess chain restaurants do not need good management just someone that wears the Blue shirt. Managers should look at a problem and ensure that it is resolved. By the time I got my 16 piece boneless the centers were warm. Also ask the Bartender about the French fries and she retrieved them. Maybe next time the customers should write and deliver the order to the kitchen and then pickup and deliver it to their table. Definitely the senior partner needs to look at Kitchen management on how they process and get orders out. Probably will not happen. read more

4/9/2023 - Instead of cooking on Easter like we usually do, we thought we would take a ride and go somewhere different. Well, when we got there they were closed. So, we went to the next best restaurant on the street that we were familiar with, so we ended up at my brother's favorite place to eat--Chili's!! My brother ordered his usual, the ribs, fries. & quesadilla's & there was one more item, he paired that with a Presidente margarita, but he said his drink wasn't like the Chili's in Stockton, His wife ordered the half of baby back ribs, coleslaw and two other items and a beverage. I ordered my usual which is the combo fajitas's, I love how they make their beans. They gave me five tortillas this time, that was a plus because I usually get four. My shrimp & chicken were very good, my steak was a on the tough side & sadly overdone. I have ordered this meal a lot and never has my steak been cooked overdone & tough. I didn't care for my margarita, it just didn't seem like a margarita. If I had known how it was going to taste, I would have ordered a simple glass of wine. My brother was not happy with his food, he said that they were stingy with the fries and just wasn't happy. His wife said hers would have been better if it was hot. Her ribs were on the cool side. We were looking around and we said that because it was Easter they didn't have many customers. But after receiving our food we figured out why. The Chili's in Stockton is always packed & they have delicious food;from now on, that will be the only Chili's we patronize not unless we go out of town. Our waitress gave us great service. She was very attentive and asked us how everything was, she didn't want us to not have what we needed. My sister-in-law asked for her food to be warmed up and she did it and she quickly brought back her hot ribs. I am sorry I didn't get her name. Alight, so I have enjoyed chili's for many years now, but the service last Saturday was not only strange but annoying. Our party of three was sat on the bar side at a booth. Our waitress kept walking past us continuously, not even acknowledging that we were in her section. Now, I get that she probably had to tend to other things before us, but the bar side wasn't very busy. Eventually, she just kept passing us to stand around and talk to other workers, laughing and having a great time. By the time she got to us, we had already finished choosing what we wanted and ordered our drinks, our appetizer, and our mains all at the same time. She took the order very fast. We got our food, and the guacamole was served on this weird black plastic dish, something that had never happened in our history of coming to Chili's. The rest of our meal was fine. I was so full that I ended up taking leftovers home from my buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. My main complaint, however, is that the fresh mex bowl had too much rice and a strange chipotle pesto in it. When it came time to pay, we tried to pay with Chili's gift cards that we had been gifted for Christmas. The machine at our table kept glitching and freezing. Our waitress was consistent in the way that she did not come to our table very often to check up on us or to see if we had left. She reset the machine, but the issues with technology continued, leading to us sitting there for 15 minutes after we were initially ready to leave. We figured it out eventually. However, if we had decided to do the wrong thing and dine and dash, there would have definitely been a chance to with the lack of attention that our table was given. read more

Newsflash, 87% of the menu items are EXACTLY the same as they were the last time I wrote a review, but that's OK with me. Perfect for reminiscing and, let's face it, I'm a traditionalist. Queso and chips. CHECK Texas Cheesefries. CHECK Coors Light on draft. CHECK. BBQ Bacon Smokehouse Burger....no dice. Gone from the menu. I ordered the BBQ brisket burger. Its no smokehouse, but it got the job done. Nothing to write home about, but tasty nonetheless. Still great service, still great atmosphere, still good food, and still great company. I would give zero stars if I could, I hate to be writing a bad review about this place because my family and I used to love coming here it was one of our favorites and now we plan to never go back. Chilis decided to change the way they do things even our waiter was being honest and let us know that anything chilis used to have that made them lose money they took away. He thought it was also stupid. They no longer do happy hour on food and they no longer do birthday desserts, which were both the reasons we went tonight, we went for my fiancés birthday and it was Mother's Day, it said it was happy hour and we were originally going to order food to go but we called and they told us we had to come in for happy hour food and drinks, which ended up being a lie. The drinks were happy hour prices but not the food and they had little to no alcohol in the drinks and they cut the size of them in half. It took at least 35 minutes to get one meal and my fiancé ordered a drink and they never put it in so he had to re order after about 30 mins. We got a triple dipper and they made the portions way smaller and increased the price. When we asked the waiter if they do the cookie birthday dessert he told yes and that he would bring it out for us we waited a long time and nothing then we asked someone else and they said they don't do them anymore. So not even the workers know what's going on. We all decided that it is better to just go else where next time, they are going to lose customers big time from this all because they are money hungry, do they not realize there are other restaurants just like them that still have these perks?? read more

Visiting some family in Lodi for the holidays and we decided to get a quick dinner at chili's. Came in on a Saturday evening, about 5 pm, and there was no wait. The host took us straight to a booth which was nice. Our waiter was with us almost immediately. Drink order was taken quickly and he was back relatively fast for the dinner order. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were pretty good. They came with rice and beans, and the jalapeño aioli was good. My only bummer was that I asked for no cilantro (cursed with the soap gene) and they brought it with cilantro in both my tacos and in the beans. I don't send food back so I dealt with it but it woulda been better without. My brother got a burger and it looked pretty good. It was a bit small but it was cooked well. They didn't serve it on a plate though.... it was served on a really hot tray. (/wewantplates). My uncle got the quesadilla explosion salad and it looked awesome. Having worked at a Chilis in college, I enjoy their food. usually well trained managers, servers who have to memorize every ingredient on the menu, a mid level nice place to eat. This chilis restraunt was dirty, rude, and disorganized. The host told me I could sit at a high top in the bar area. I was ignorec by the waitress. I wasnt given a menu by the host. Finally I waved down the woman with round glasses and she just rudely said "oh this table is closed". and walked off. Asked the host to seat me somewhere else. Visited Chili's Friday night, what a bust. We were told 15-20 minute wait, waited 35 minutes. A big portion of the restaurant was closed because not enough workers. We had the 2/$25. Wife had chicken crispers, I had the sirloin, medium doneness. Waited awhile for our food. It was busy enough but considering half the restaurant was closed. Could be a shortage of cooks too. Either way, food took awhile. The crispers were crispy but flat, not a lot of meat, tasted okay. Side salad was good. Fries were okay, loaded mashed potatoes were ok. The street corn was really good. The sirloin was well done, and I mean well done. I asked the manger who was friendly and walking around, to guess what doneness I ordered based on the look of the steak. He replied "well done"? He was nice enough to make another steak to go which I was grateful for. When I got it, well done again. When I say well done I'm telling you there was absolutely no pink. I didn't say anything and took the L. The waitress was nice but not super tentative. Had to stop her a couple of times to ask for refill / whatever else we needed. 2 stars instead of 1 because of friendliness from the waitress and manager. But the food quality just isn't there. Last night my husband and I ordered our weekly take-out, his steak was over cooked, my sliders had nothing on them but some cheese and they were hard as hockey pucks. But the worst part was the fries- There were literally 10 cold fries and one of them had ketchup on them. It was like they took them off a plate and threw them in the box. No ranch was provided- it just was horrible. Last week our dinners were horrible as well. Theres no pride anymore with the service and quality at this reataurant anymore. My husband and I have been coming to this Chili's location since 2016. This has been our weekly date since we moved to Lodi. When Covid happened we switched to ordering take-out. I will say that we have noticed a severe decrease in the quality of food over the past year. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Never again. This was the worst Chili's that I have ever eaten at. The Ceasars Salad was made with nearly spoiled field greens rather than proper romaine lettuce. My wife ordered the baked potato soup and was brought half a bowl, and the server would not take it back to fill it properly, also no crackers. I ordered the sirloin with rice and vegetables since I don't eat potatoes, but the rice was cool, and the broccoli had no seating. No butter was offered for the broccoli. Could not explain why we could not just go into the bar and get a table like before Covid. Said there was a 20 minute wait and asked for my phone number. Watching her while we waited, she wandered around looking lost while 5 tables opened up. After those tables opened up, we waited another 10 minutes till we were seated. The waitress was GREAT!!!! I visited Chilis in Lodi for Happy Hour. When we got to Chili's the bar was already packed but we ended up waiting only 10 min before some people left & seats were available. The Happy Hour prices are good. They also offer a featured Margarita for $5 all month. The service was good & the food. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings which are my go to here. The drinks were also good especially for $5. I actually enjoyed the experience. A few of the other bar patrons were friendly and introduced themselves. Honestly, I have met a rude worker in this job by the name of Colson. He didn't seem to do his job quite professionally as he didn't properly attend my family and I. He was so quick to attend our tables and then leave. His attitude seemed too serious instead of welcoming. I have an eye for people and I can instantly tell when someones vibes are set off or if they're not a well mannered person.
