After reading all the negative reviews, was hesitant to dine at the newly remodeled Chili's in MB. We had lunch in the bar area & Kathryn, was our server. She made our dining very enjoyable. All doubts about the service was forgotten. She informed us about the $5 margarita special of the month & it was delish. We ordered the $7 combo special which was filling. Terrible right from the start. Waitress didn't know how to give us a free appetizer without me signing into my chilies reward. Then she didn't know which appetizer I could get for free. She didn't know that there was a special going on for the ribs for 9.99. I had to show it to her in an email in order to get that price. I ordered a burger that had a fried egg. Which normally still has a runny yoke. the egg came out Fried so hard you could hardly chew it. Couldn't find our waitress to tell her about it. Tried to pay bill using table kiosk but the only things listed were our drinks. Manager came by and took our plates, asked how things were and we explained about the egg situation. He asked if we told our waitress and we told him we haven't seen her to tell her. Also told him that we couldn't pay our bill because it wasn't on the kiosk which he then said he would fix. When he brought back the bill there was no discount for the terrible hamburger fiasco. Sad service, sad food. $40 wasted! Okay i thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Even though our waiter was very nice and polite when i took my first bite of my burger it f..ing burned my mouth due the salt content, the fries were bombarded with seasoning salt which just made things worse. My girlfriend had some Broccoli and shrimp, obviously these were frozen before and the veggies looked and smelled old. I was a bit disappointed. They seem to have changed the menu since the last time I was there and I believe there's not as much selection. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp didn't seem to be seasoned at all and the tortillas looked store bought. I think I'm going to have to pass on Chili's next time. I do have to say that the service was great. read more

Ordered nachos not knowing there would only be eight, I said eight total nacho chips. That's right ocho for my Spanish speaking audience nacho chips topped with a small piece of chicken and some cheese per nacho chip. Goodness I fu**ing love this place. When I come here I can always expect friendly service, good food, and great deals. I literally go to chilis twice a week (at least) I would say I'm an unpaid ambassador at this point. The 2 for $20 is the best. Get the honey chipotle crispers with double fries instead of corn & the Texas cheese fries or chips and guac, as your appetizer. I swear it's the best. Also they have the BEST ranch unlike the gross watered down Kraft version TGI's carries. Never had a bad experience at any chilis but this particular location is my favorite. Went here for dinner around 7:00 on a Wednesday night and the place was nearly empty which is why I don't understand why I only saw my waiter twice during our entire visit. Went in mid afternoon June 18. We wanted only desserts, ice cream. We ordered and waited 15-20 minutes. for ICE CREAM, and one soup. After the waitress dropped off our food, we never had her stop by again. We saw her around the room, but she never ever stopped by to see how we were doing. OR with the check. 20-30 minutes after we finished, I asked another server to get the manager. We had small children and had to leave, and I asked if she'd get the check. Although indifferent, she did ring up the bill and give it to me. When I stated the problem, she said that she would "certainly speak to" the server. And maybe she will. Hard prior bad experiences with food to go, but thought we would give it one more try. To the point, counter at take out register is always sticky and dirty.. Steaks were ordered well done, when I got home and cut them both were rare. Fries and sides were just thrown in the containers and soggy from touching the other items, The server there is the same one I had problems with before, nice guy but he should not be in the food business, It seems like they give special service to the L.A. Bite orders and could careless about other customers, waited 20 minutes after the time my order was to be ready while they hurried an L.A. Bite order. I'm only giving this a 2 star because my previous visits with chili's have been more than okay. I just had dinner there and I'm debating wether i will be coming back in the future or not. When my server introduced herself she let me know she was training and her trainer also introduced herself before placing my order. No issues with my server at all but I had a few with her trainer! I go to the bathroom to find a completely different order on my table. Not a biggie, I thought to myself they probably just got the table wrong. I quickly let someone know (not my server) I believe it was the host, that whatever was on my table isn't what I ordered. He apologized and sent it back. My servers trainer comes back around and says "oh you wanted the fajitas, I asked you if you wanted the sour cream enchiladas and you said yes." I was in so much shock I couldn't even say anything. Are you really going to argue with me about what I ordered!? I go to chili's all the time and I literally only ever order one thing! The chicken fajitas! I looked at her in shock and said I ordered the fajitas. She quickly gave me an attitude and was like okay! After that I was so done with everything and she goes and calls me babe. Wtf. The food finally comes out and the person bringing it has no clue what table it goes to so I have to yell while her back is turned toward me that the fajitas are for me. I get them and within 5 min the skillet is cold and my veggies are still pretty raw but I just decide to eat them anyways because at this point I'm starving. I'm so disappointed in my experience. It was the worst, and to top it off I shouldn't have to fight fruit flies over my meal in a restaurant. I had a great experience here a few weeks ago and decided to take the girlfriend to a relaxing lunch somewhere local. it was horrendous. The chicken fajitas were made with boiled/microwaved chicken with carmel "grill marks", the $10 cheesesteak sandwhich came with 12-15 French fries (with a soggy bun as well) and the food overall tasted bland. The waitress was hospitable and well mannered, however despite the restaurant being 1/4 full she continually forgot to bring waters to the table even when asked several times. This chilis seems to get a bad rap. I've had my ups and downs with the place but definitely more on the good side. It's definitely a good Happy Hour spot (good beer, bomb boneless wings) and a good place to hang with friends. There have been some disappointments. The smokehouse items they have going right now are no bueno (waayyy to moist) but as long as a classic burger or a salad with chicken is on the menu, I will continue to come back. read more

We went to Chili's the other day with a very large group. We all communicate using American Sign Language due to having Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in our group. We had such an amazing experience when we went. The service was incredible. Our waiter's name was Jared and he had only been working there for 3 weeks. We could hardly tell he was new at this. He even tried to communicate using ASL. 5 stars for Jared, if you go you should ask for him. I also have allergies and he helped me pick something I could eat and even exchanged my plate for something 100% allergy free. We highly recommend going to Chili's in Manhattan Beach! Be sure to ask for Jared, a very hardworking employe deserving of a raise!!! As the night went on he was so friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. He went way above the call of duty to ensure that we had a very good end to the day. We will defiantly tell our friends to come here and ask for Jared! read more

Went here this past Wednesday from 7-11pm. If I knew we were going to have such a hard time, we would have went to California pizza kitchen next-door and took our 14 people with us for happy hour and celebration... I'd like to start with good things; The appetizers were great and our waitress was good. It was the day before Thanksgiving, there were so many empty tables at the bar area... There's no reason why it should take 20 to 30 minutes for a drink, One of us even waited 45 minutes... I asked the waitress if they were short staffed today, and she said not really. So then we knew the bartender was doing it to us on purpose. We caught him rolling his eyes at us about five times that night & delaying all of our drinks big time! My three coworkers told me that earlier, before the rest of us arrived, they were being silly and calling each other names... Suddenly, the bartender turned around & blurted out a rude comment to them (maybe he thought my coworkers were talking to him)... This is actually not our first encounter with this African-American bartender... We've been coming here for YEARS, since perhaps the beginning of the 2000s. In the past, 3 of us went for a catch up session & he would focus in on our conversation and blurt his opinions loudly, responding to us, but allowing the whole bar to hear. I get that he was probably trying to engage his customers, but perhaps the management should give him a communications 101 class. He does not know how to do it correctly. A few months ago, I ordered wine, and my sister and brother ordered beers, and he laughed at my wine and made a discriminatory joke about my sister ordering a beer and me ordering a wine... Maybe he didn't know that I have a gout condition in my foot, and I'm not allowed to drink beer with yeast. The thing with his joke was, none of the three of us thought it was funny, and the entire bar area just kind of stared over at us. I'm one of those people that laughs all day long. I am the family comedian, & there is usually laughter everywhere I go... Maybe I should sit down and give this guy a lesson on some comedy and connecting with people... Today was the third time in the last few months that he has served us, and all three times were horrible! Decided to go out to dinner tonight instead of cooking since I had had a long day at work. I pick up my 4 year old and she decides we should eat dinner at chilis. We arrive and wait a decent time to be seated. Then the nightmare begins. Waiter takes about 10 minutes to take the order of the drinks and we give him the food order as well. The drinks came quickly but we were not given any straws. Not one employee walked by in the next 20minutes, that's when the food arrives. By that time the ice melted in my daughters drink and it was watered down. We had food but no utensils. We sat there and watched our food get cold till someone walked by and we asked for utensils. Decided to try something off their new menu .. the chicken over the waffles. it was very sweet, so sweet that I couldn't eat it. I ate one of my daughters cheeseburger sliders instead ( luckily she was willing to share). After we finished up we tried to pay on the tablet. Tablet was not working. Asked the waiter for the bill and waited 10 minutes for him to bring the bill. Then I gave him my card to pay and waited another 10 minutes for my receipt. By the time the waiter came back my daughter and I were very frustrated. I would of rather gone through the work of making a meal at home than to pay for this horrible service and food. The only reason we consider ever eating at chilies is because of their chocolate molten lava cake which both my daughter and I were exited for but the chicken and waffles had so much sugar that it took away my appetite for the cake. As for my daughter she told me not to order it for her because and I quote " no mommy, they are going to take too long to bring it and I'm tired of waiting". I'm not sure how management can allow such service to happen at their restaurant but by looking at the reviews on here , clearly they don't care ‍ Update: brought the uneaten food for my father to try and to confirm that I'm not a picky customer. My new favorite spot! I've been going to the olive garden across from this place this entire time until last night. I got the 10 ounce sirloin steak with the grilled shrimp and it was the best steak I've had in a long time! My husband had the rib eye and he also enjoyed it very much. The service was great too. I came here with my family around 1pm there were about two other guests in our waiters area. Our food was pretty good and we all enjoyed it, but unfortunately we could not say the same about our waiter Lindsay. She did the bare minimum of her job, which was serve the food. We had to ask her for everything when it came to refills on drinks, more food etc. We also had to ask her several times for cups to take our drinks on the road. The recipe kiosk was malfunctioning so we asked her for a receipt as well as the cups for our drinks, she instead sent another waiter to give us our things. I'd understand if the restaurant had been full and she gave them to someone else because of time, but the restaurant was pretty empty so it was pretty clear she just did not want to do her job. We were seated pretty much immediately but it goes downhill from there. There we sat watching every one after us getting served (meaning drinks). We were simply ignored. Everyone including the manager walked past out table with not even an hi or can I get you drinks. So we left - walked across the way to the Olive Garden. By the way for you "servers" at Chili's who "work for tips" I gave a $10+ tip to that Olive Garden server - guess you already make enough.
