Today was a very disappointing day. I was very hungry and figured that by going to Chilis I could satisfy my hunger with one of their steaks. That was not the case, cause in order to get a steak, you have to be able to order one. The bartenders are the absolute worst, their situational awareness is about as good as an old person in a nursing home. How could a person sit at the bar, and everyone around him has either a drink or food in front of them, hello... No food or drink equals that person has not been served. I waited and waited, but no service. Was it because of the color of my skin? ... I am amazed cause I have been to several Chilis and have received outstanding service which is a primary reason I elect to visit a Chilis wherever I go. This Chilis needs to get their act together. Was kinda upset that I took my gift card I got for my birthday to this place to buy a birthday dinner, my server name was Jordan not once asked how things were going not until the very end when he asked if he wanted to take our plates even after countless times on trying to wave him down. I ordered a Ancho Salmon half of the Salmon was okay the other half was burnt to crap completely black It tasted like charcoal, once he finally came around I showed him and he's like oh uh I can give you a discount. He gave me military discount a whole $3.00 off my purchase of $44 Oh boy after waiting 15 min for him to run my card he comes and brings my check back with no pen(place wasn't busy at all). Guess it's not important to sign or even give a tip to the nice hostess up front? My co-workers and I came here for Cinco de Mayo solely based on their happy hour specials. The margaritas were good and the $3 beers were also a big hit. The bar was extremely packed and we were fortunate enough to snag a booth, however this caused our server to be pulled in multiple directions. In the end it was simply too noisy and our glasses sat empty too long, we left shortly after. My only tip would be to have more servers on the floor for days such as Cinco de Mayo. read more

I went here for the first time with my husband and in laws we wanted to try somewhere knew. First let me say the service is very slow we waited close to 30 minutes for our food it was around 1130am and their were very few pple in their. When we finally got our food The fries were cold, the chicken crispers were a joke (you get better ones at KFC, and I'm not even much of a KFC fan) the ribs were ok but they don't compare to Bjs ribs or my personal favorite Lucilles.. Bad experience. I never eat at Chili's for this exact reason; however, I had a gift card and thought that I should use it. There was a table on each side of us that was disgustingly dirty when we got there, and they were still dirty when we left. Food and crap all over the tables and food all over the floor all around us. No one ever came to clean them... and they weren't that busy. The food was absolutely terrible. I had the old fashioned chicken crispers and legit they were uneatable, I only ate one of them. There was 4 tenders left on my plate, as well as a ton of fries... I lost my appetite. The chicken was rubbery and cold. So gross. Our waiter verified what we were drinking right when we got our food and then didn't come back to give us our refills until we were basically done with our meals. My fiancé said he could see him standing off to the side just talking to other staff members. Also, we were never asked how our food was... kind of a staple thing that you ask as a waiter, I think? Also, just a thought... when you see that someone has almost all their food still on their plate by the time they are ready for the check, my first two questions would be, "Was your food okay?" Or "Would you like a box?" I didn't get any of that... and there were 4 tenders and a ton of fries still left on my plate. It's like he gave zero shits, and was just going through the motions. One of the worst customer service experiences at a restaurant ever! I have been to this location before and was very disappointed but I thought I would give it another try. It was about 4:10 pm and the place was pretty much empty, maybe 5 or 10 people in the whole restaurant. Almost every table was available. I waited for someone to acknowledge us and eventually a hostess came by and ask how many (2) and she said she would be right back. I waited, and waited, and waited but she was nowhere in sight. In the meantime, numerous servers walked by and didn't even acknowledge me, or ask if I was being helped. I finally saw the hostess chatting with one of the servers but she was in no rush to get back to me. I was just about to leave when the hostess returned just as I was ready to leave. I was pretty upset so far about the service but decided to just relax and enjoy my meal. After being seated and reviewing the menu we waited for a server to take our order because there were so many around, but no such luck. A few people came in and so now there were 3 tables in the entire area with customers. The people that came after me were greeted by their server and again I was becoming frustrated. Finally a server came by and took our drink order and said she would be right back. By now we have been there for a 1/2 hour, at 4:40 pm and the place was still pretty much empty. We waited and waited and after seeing our server having a conversation with a few guys, then leaning over to kiss him, I was seething. Oh no, wait.. it gets better. Then she sat down with them. I was done, shocked that a owner or manager would allow this type of service. Maybe they didn't care about one customer, maybe they lost a lot more. I have had amazing service and food at other Chili's locations. No wonder their parking lot is always empty. You don't see that at any other location. read more

The service is terrible. Our server is standing around socializing. I'm not coming back again. We waited for 10 minutes to be seated in an empty place. After she seated us she didn't even take our drink orders for another 10 minutes and we didn't have any silverware and she just said "I'll get it for you" and we've had to ask her twice now for some silverware. My mom and i went for lunch today and the service sucked! I think our server had too many tables or maybe she hates her job! I had the chicken enchilada soup and this time it was nasty so i wanted to give it to my mom so it wouldn't go to waste maybe she would like it! I had to wait forever and flag her down for a spoon she never brought, it felt like we waited 30 mins at least for our food and our server never came to check on us, i had to ask a manager for my check and he didn't even bother to ask if everything was ok, he looked like he was confused. After she made time to bring my credit card back with the receipt so she could say thank you just to get a tip even though she was rude and didn't deserve it, i looked at her and said "i never did get that spoon" as shes looking at a full bowl of soup she says "o yah, so what was wrong with the spoon u had" did she really said that, and then she asked if i wanted her to put the nasty cold soup in a to go..Really..WTH..I know its not an upscale place but if u hate your job find another one. I could have saved my $30 and had better luck at taco bell..never did see a smile, don't worry i didn't tip her!! Came here very hung-over on a Sunday afternoon. As football season had started our first dining choice (BWW) was packed so we came here instead. We found the bar area relatively empty and after eating here we figured out why. Our server had maybe 3 tables she was responsible for, so I know she was overwhelmed by any means. I ordered the premium bloody mary and carefully watched the bartender to see if he in fact was going to make it with Grey Goose as the menu specified. He did not. Instead he used Absolut, which wouldn't be a big deal except that GG is much better and if I am paying for it then that is what I expect to get. I walked up o the bar and he informed me that the premium was made with Absolut and after I told him what the menu said he remade it. We ordered salads and an assortment of appetizers for our meal since they had happy hour specials. Our food arrived, but no salads. I know they eat salad after the meal in other countries, but considering that I was in Murrieta, I was a little pissed. The manager had already come by to address the cocktail issue and after I asked about the salads he came over again. I asked if the waitress was new, which would be an ok reason why our salads had not come yet and was told that she wasn't. I told him I didn't want to get her in trouble, but considering how empty the place was they really couldn't afford bad service. He agreed and comped our entire meal. While free food should taste pretty damn good, this food was blah. Even hung over (when almost anything tastes good) I was not very impressed. I guess this is a good place to come watch Sunday football (since it is empty), but I won't be ordering any food here that is for sure! read more

Worst service I have ever received. First people who checked in after us with the exact same number in the party got seated before us, next the waitress got our drink order wrong twice when all it was, was all water & one soda, then we had ordered a 2 for 20 deal and on our appetizer we got chips and guacamole, the waitress asked us if we wanted a refill on our chips & guacamole, but then brought us chips & salsa we politely said we had guacamole not salsa, and she said oh there is no refills on guacamole, which is fine but why did she specifically say would you like more chips and guacamole? Then she said well let me get our manager, at this point we were still being nice just explaining our issue, the manager then said no one refills guacamole here and if they do they'll be fired, I thought he was being a little extreme by saying that. So we then said let us just pay for our salads and don't worry about bringing the rest of our food out. He then gave us a very dirty look. And was rude as we left. I work in retail and I would never be rude to customers or down grade another employee in front if customers. My mom has also been a waitress her whole career life, and I know how customers should be treated. Just a bad experience. I won't be back there. I have also heard a lot of other complaints from other people about this location. read more

I'm a fan of chilis and this location was the one we would regularly go to. I just left this location (arriving there about 3pm) as there was nobody but us (a party of two) in the waiting area, where we were informed 5 times within 5 minutes that they were cleaning our table now. That was fine and all I dont typically mind waiting a few, what made me walk out is that another party of two that appeared to be friends of the host at the time walked in several minutes after us and we're greeted by him and seated immediately. He even mentioned one more time that our table is being cleaned now as he was walking away to seat them. Then, after seating his friend's, we see him pick up a rag and start cleaning our table. That's when we walked out. Either he seated his friends at the table that was supposed to be for us or lied about our table being cleaned the whole time. Food was good.....when it finally came. Servers seemed stressed out and it was very understaffed. The bartender...well, maybe it's not the right job for her. The place is dirty. The women's room door felt sticky when I pushed it open, like a drink has been poured down the front and had never been cleaned. The kitchen floor is filthy, food shoved off to the side of the floor and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. Even the side walls were sticky. People that came in after us have been served their meal. They'll probably leave before we get our food. In sitting here, looking around, this place is a mess. This was my worst experience at a restaurant ever. First of all, our server Veronica was impatient when taking our orders (we were only a group of 4). Halfway through my meal, I decided I wanted to order the fried asparagus. Took about 10 minutes to get it but when I got it I realized there was a long black hair on my asparagus! We mentioned it to Veronica and she took it back. She came back a few minutes later to say that it wasn't any of the staffs hair because "it was actually blonde". Um no my entire group saw that it was a black hair, not blonde!! Then she proceeded to argue with us and accuse us of putting a blonde hair in my own food. Why would I go out of my way to put hair in my food and have to wait another 10 minutes for a new order?! I didn't even want the asparagus off my bill, I just wanted a new one, not trying to eat someone's hair. I then told her she was rude and she lost her tip and she said "I wasn't counting on it anyway". Just because I'm young (21) doesn't mean I don't tip well. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager and wanted a new server. The manager Silvia was very nice and understanding and I got a new order of asparagus but I'm still very annoyed with the experience and after being accused of putting hair in my food, dealing with an extremely rude and unprofessional server, and having to wait again for a new order of asparagus, the LEAST they could've done was take it off my bill, even though that wasn't my original intention. I will never come back here and I will make sure everyone knows about this experience and poor customer service. read more

Wasn't expecting much, but it was less than what I thought it would be. We waited 5 minutes to be greeted at the hostess stand, despite it being after dining rush hour on a Monday night. Then we waited another ten minutes in order to be greeted by our server. Yet another 10 minutes to have our server ask for our drink order. We asked to place our food order at the time figuring that we'd be playing another waiting game for that. The server seemed very busy, yet none of her fellow staff sought to help her out. Our drinks were served and one of them was wrong. Another 5 minutes before we could flag anyone down to get it corrected. The food came and the meat I order medium rare came out well done. Normally, I'd deal, but after all the other issues and for the price I was paying I sent it back. Our server said she was soory and the manager would comp the entree. The meat came back cooked medium and there was several pieces of gristle. When the check came, I noticed the entree was not comped. The server was embarrassed and apologetic. She approached the manager again and he refused the comp. She was so sweet and felt bad, she took some money off the bill on her own behalf. A very conscientious lady! I made sure to tip her well to cover her generosity . Clearly the management does not organize themselves in a way that supports their employees. My empathy goes out to the srevers there. I ordered 5 well done burgers and fries from the Chili's on Ynez rd. in Temecula. For the first time my husband and I took advantage of the Chili to go. The food was ready when we got there great. When we got home what we got was basically 5 rare extremly greasey burgers. Just the fact if we were eating in the resturant there would have been no way on God's green earth we would have kept those burgers. Because we were home we decided to just microwave the burgers and do everything we could to soak up as much grease as possible. read more

Our local Chili's is the bomb here in Murrieta,CA. As you pull into the parking lot you can smell the delicious food being cooked and it makes you even hungrier. They greet you at the door with a smile and get you ready for some a wonderful experience.The chips and salsa starts you off in the right direction and then you can either go with the mouth watering ribs or the sizzling fajita's. My entire family loves going here and we do often. We have never had a bad experience here as the staff makes you feel at home. We went to chili's to celebrate my daughters birthday today and i like to say that i never get so disappointed till today. The service was slow and took forever for our orders to come, once we got our food i went to talked to the waiter and ask them if they can sing a birthday song for my daughter and they said they'll do it. After waiting for a little while finishing our food and desserts nothing happened so i asked for our receipt and he came back greeting her happy birthday and then told her you don't want us to sing to you because we don't want to embarrassed you and it is embarrassing. Come on really! We were hoping for her to blow her candle in front of her aunt and grandma who came all the way from LA and that's what your gonna tell her.
