last time I ordered curbside I had a big issue where I was hung up on 4 times before being able to place an order. When I got there the manager apologized and gave me a refund on my meal which was AWESOME. This time we (my bf and I) went and pulled in for curbside pick up. After waiting 10 minutes he went inside to find out what the deal was. He waited and was walked by and ignored by at least 3 different people. He finally spoke up and got someones attention and asked about our curbside. He was greeted with an attitude after he explained we'd been waiting etc etc. The worker asked the name for the order and said "Oh it's over there in the corner" and the server walked away. No apologies for the lack of service or even an offer to go grab the meal or someone to help him with the meal. When we got home I opened my meal to find a pathetic, burnt piece of steak... After such ridiculous service it was just so disappointing to be met by a pathetic looking dinner... This was my go to place and now I don't know if I will be a returning customer any time soon... Called 1.5 hours ahead to reserve a 7pm table. Showed up told they don't take reservations and hostess messed up. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Severe allergy brought up and acknowledged and still had that food brought out on the plates. Main course finally came out at 820 and 3 beef plates were served raw. Waitress was very nice. Chile's was amazing. The service was good, food was good. But the best thing overall was the amazing molten lava cake. Every time I go to Chile's I get it and I love it. I used to love coming to Chili's. Then two weeks ago they introduced a fried cauliflower dish as a meatless alternative to chicken wings - I was delighted! Now I come back and half the menu is gone, including the delicious new vegetarian dish and, as the waitress informed me, more meat dishes than before. I am severely disappointed. Our visit to this location began on a sour note. Busy Monday should not be a problem for a chain restaurant... you should expect extra traffic on a Monday holiday when you are located off I95, next to a shopping center. We came because it was close but I won't be back to this location. The hostess took almost 10 minutes to acknowledge us, and while the waitress was speedy, pleasant and helpful, I am glad we didn't need anything because she was taking more than 1/2 of the tables in the dining area. I am not knocking the food.. it was flavorful and quick. But the atmosphere is empty and I am glad the hostess was not our waitress... she was never at the door when people came in, and our poor waitress even had to deal with questions from people waiting for tables while she was in the midst of delivering a full tray of food! read more

On Tuesday night(2 days ago) my family and I went to Chili's to celebrate my 4 year old brothers birthday. We are a family of 7 including myself and we had an additional 4 guests with us for a total of 11. We called in advance to make a reservation for our party and arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation in order to check in. Immediately upon entering, the Host who did not have a clearly visible name tag (but she was young with thick glasses, and Caucasian) took it upon herself to IMMEDIATELY start making remarks such as "oh god I don't know who's going to want to take this monstrosity" and "I don't think anyone is going to volunteer to serve these people" upon hearing these remarks, my mother told the (assumed) floor supervisor who was a slightly heavier white male who responded with "yeah, she's like that sometimes" and proceeded to walk away thus ending the conversation. To make this matter even worse, after informing the supervisor about the hosts actions, she became more blatant with her remarks at one point even saying "I'm sorry you got them, those kind of people don't ever tip good" to our "unfortunate volunteer server". Needless to say, my family and I will never step foot in this chili's again unless this is made right. If it were up to me, I would have left immediately but my mother chose to turn the other cheek and stay, I post this for any Hispanic families daring enough to go deal with this. read more

The service was great our server was really nice and food was good. What bothered me is that the restaurant has a $5 margarita advertisement for every day all day however, we were charged an additional $3.69, making the drink almost double of what it is advertised for. Previous to a couple of days ago I had never been to a chilies. We get there and the host couldn't decide where to put us (by the way it's slow). He was shy and anxious, very unusual to any host I'd had before. Once seated we got a nice waitress who for the love of life wouldn't stop coming by every 5 minutes. Constantly "are you ready" and having to say "no just a few more minutes". Once ready she took our orders and brought the food out pretty fast. The food was pretty good. I'd give this s better rating if the waitress was less pushy. Oh! And the "best" part, as we were eating a dead fly was found in my husbands food. So gross! Once the waitress was notified she removed the fly but didn't offer any replacements or anything. Really??? Easy to say we won't be going back any time soon. read more

Have been here before and have NOT enjoyed the service. And what a coincidence...we get the same bartender, Briana, as last time. Today, we sat down at the bar and wasn't greeted for a whole 5 min. Within those 5 min she was standing a yard away from us did not even say hi, while only 2 other people aside from us were there. She was also standing RIGHT IN FRONT of us and nothing. When she finally introduced herself, Briana seemed completely uninterested. As we were looking at the "Margarita Monday" drink menu, which said "All Day, Every Day, Every Month. $5" we read off and showed her what we wanted. In the process, she neglected to let us know the specials that they were offering. We got our drinks. As we were amongst ourself, we can hear her saying "I'm ready to go home" and "I don't want to be here". Not something you want to hear from the service, especially when they already do not seem so pleasant. While we were sitting there, she was cleaning the shakers in the sink in front of us and got water inside of my friends drink. When we were ready to cash out, we saw that our margaritas were $7.99. When we asked Briana about it she said that it was only a specific margarita and she also "doesn't like how it has bad advertising" SHE NEVER ADVERTISED IT KNOWING WE WERE ORDERING OFF OF THAT MENU AND KNOWING IT ONLY INCLUDED A SPECIFIC MARGARITA. It was just terrible. Not to mention she didn't smile. Not once the whole experience. AWESOME SERVICE HERE. I live an hour away from this location. So when make it through to this site on my way home I often stop in. I am usually at the bar and Carol is usually the one to wait on me. She's so sweet. Tonight ordered the Triple Dipper, to have general manager come out and let me know they were out of onion rings (a fav of mine) and that he was sorry order was coming in tomorrow. She was rushing us out of the restaraunt and being so unoffical Then when our food FINALLY came out, my boyfriend burnt his hand on the skillet as he was going in to eat one of the cheesy fries that have NO bacon on them. The fries came out soooo soggy and falling apart. This whole experience was such an inconvenience for me and my boyfriend ON OUR ANNIVERSARY. Also our food was cold. It's called chilis for a reason, they keep the food CHILLY. I got some strawberry lemonade and I almost choked on some strawberry shavings in it. Our menus were sticky. Walked in around 2:30ish. Although there were many cars in the parking lot it was pretty empty. We were greeted almost immediately by a smiling man who was picking up a package for the boss. He asked if we'd like a table or booth, I said whatever's easier for you. He told us to take a seat in the middle booth and he'd be right over. He came right over, introduced himself... His name was Dan. He asked us about our baby & how old she was and then went on to tell us about his daughter. I love when servers get personal because I always feel right at home. He made sure he took care of us the entire time and we never had to ask for anything. I ordered the Santa Fe salad, AMAZING. I don't even eat meat but the chicken was made to perfection, just how I remember liking it in the past years. My boyfriend ordered the bacon ranch quesadillas and loved them! I was having the hardest day today thinking about my brother who recently passed. I came here to take my mind off things and I can't tell you how thankful and appreciative I am to have had him as our server. Honestly I find it annoying when people hate on Chilis. Obviously Chilis is not a five star restaurant, but when your looking for some cheap food and a good time with friends, and a nice atmosphere to let lose and have a great time this is the place to go. My expierence here at this Chiles was poor. My server Collen brought our drinks out after our appetizer, while our meal came out 5 mins later when we had already waited for our appitzer more than 15 minutes. He failed to correct the problem and instead, combatively argued that we wanted our appetizer to come at the same time as our entree; which was not the case. This server needs some work.. read more

My boyfriend and I go here pretty often because it's just a quick and easy dinner/lunch spot for us. We've had a few bad experiences here and there, mostly surrounding the wait staff. The few occasions where we've had complaints were handled very well by the managers, and addressed appropriately. Most of my visits to this Chili's location have been pleasant, but my most recent visit caused me to change my mind. While ordering an appetizer of chicken nachos, I specifically requested only chicken & cheese on them- nothing else. The waitress repeated my order back to me. After a long wait, during which my company received their apps before me, another girl brought me my food. To my dismay, there were olives, tomatoes and lettuce on the nachos. I told the girl my original order and she looked confused with a blank look as if she didn't know what to do. After bringing them back and another wait, my original waitress brought my correct order out without a word. After some drinks and more apps, we were ready to leave. My bill was brought over and I was surprised to see 2 orders of nachos on my tab. When I told the waitress she gave me a bewildered look, mumbled an apology and walked off and after more waiting brought me a correct receipt, all without apologizing! The food here is mediocre. The Chillies Bar and Grill in New London, CT has always been my favorite spot to go to I even hosted my unborn baby's gender reveling party there back in September 2013 until then I decided that yesterday 6-22-15 would be my last day I ever went there. My family and I went to celebrate my aunts birthday. The waiter was so unprofessional, rude and let alone her sloppy look with a whole sleeve of tattoos, her boyfriend coming in to see her while she was on the clock and her crappy attitude. She took our drink orders and screwed them up. Then she started to take our food orders and randomly just walked away as we were trying to order. She ended up sending one of her fellow co workers who then took care of us with the excuse that she was having a bad day. They ran out of corn on the cob and my steak came out burnt and not appetizing. My cheese fries were burnt and hardly had cheese on them. So we ordered dessert and my mother took one to go the waitress again forgot to bring it out and when my mother reminded her she slammed it on the table and because of one rude and nasty waitress Chillies lost a customer who brought them great amount of business.
