We enjoy Chili's quite often, and this location is only about 6 minutes from us, which makes it very convenient. I really wanted to give their takeout orders a fair chance, so this was actually my second time ordering. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the portion size especially considering I paid extra for the shrimp Cajun pasta with an extra garlic bread. This dish is usually my go-to at Chili's, and I'm used to much more generous portions. This time, the amount of pasta was very minimal. The food itself tasted alright shrimp was cold but the pasta was warm? The biggest downside was the portion just didn't match what I normally expect from Chili's, particularly for a dish that costs extra. Honestly, I feel like Chili's is up their game a little bit lately. It is still on the fancier side of fast food in my opinion. The service at this location was wonderful. She was truly very sweet and attentive. The food was OK for something to get on the go. It will say the chicken sandwiches are very tender and there is a generous amount of chicken in each sandwich. I have not been to Chiki's in a while. - but it is always reliable. We went here b/c my wife wanted to try the Wicked themed margaritas. She really enjoyed it! This was our first visit to the Oviedo location. We were in the area for another event and decided we would stop in for dinner before heading back home. It was Friday night around 8:20pm and this place was packed. Honestly, it was near impossible to find a parking spot in the lot, but somehow, we managed to get one. There was a wait to be seated, but since it was just the two of us, we were able to slide right in, sweet! Our server, Sami was wonderful. She was friendly, fun, and attentive. Nancy ordered the Triple Dipper ($16.89), she selected the cheeseburger sliders, chicken tenders, and Southwestern Eggrolls as her three items. I chose the Original Fajita Trios, which comes with shrimp, chicken, and steak ($28.29). I give the staff credit for handling this crazy rush, but by the time our food arrived many of the customers had cleared out; thinking we probably caught the tail end of it. Our order arrived about 40-minutes after we placed it, and when it did arrive, it was underwhelming to say the least. My fajitas were barely sizzling, the rice was crunchy, and the steak was chewy. The shrimp were the really small ones you would see in a Calypso pasta but they were good and so was the chicken. The black beans were good and I am also happy they provided four tortilla wraps with my meal versus the three most restaurants supply. The side dish with toppings - Pico de Gallo, sour cream, and shredded cheese was lacking, could it have hurt to add a dollop of guacamole in there? Come on man! Nancy's sliders were very sad and reminded me of the Frozen White Castle burgers you buy in the store. She stated that the Southwestern Eggrolls are not as good as she remembers; alternatively, the chicken tenders were very fresh, the meat was juicy, and tasty. Our order rang in just under $50 which is pretty much the going rate for two people to dine out, which is crazy, but what can you do. I don't know if I would order these two items again only because they are just not as good as they used to be. I have received some awesome fajitas in the past from the Chili's in Lake Mary and the one in Daytona. I really hope this is not how they are doing things now. Overall, the restaurant was clean, even though they were slammed. I am surprised the bathrooms were not trashed, so hats up to the staff for keeping up on this. Ultimately, I don't mind waiting for food, especially when I know we came during the rush, but if the food quality is always like this, its going to be a hard-sell getting me back in the door at the Oviedo location. I'm surprised I'm leaving a 5 star for Chili's, but I've visited this location a few times in the past year and every time this place appears incredibly well run and I've really enjoyed myself. Even when it's busy. The servers are good at what they do. Drinks, app's and plates all appear to come out as soon as they're ready and are delivered to the table by different people, rather than one person trying to do everything. My only complaint is that the steak is usually a little chewy, but all the other food I've tried has been good. read more

Ahh, good ol' Chilis. Legendary national chain in the same vein as Applebee's, TGI Friday's, all the places you went to for your birthday when you were a kid. These places have gotten a pretty bad rep lately, and I will admit, I don't come to places like this often, but it does happen occasionally. I came here one day after getting a gift card for Secret Santa at work. I was legitimately excited, because quite frankly, their chipotle chicken tenders are actually amazing. So we get here, ambiance is the same it's been for the past 33 years, so is the service, so then it was time to look at the food. We got two things, the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas (Chicken, shredded cheese, chile spices, bacon, house-made ranch. Served with pico, sour cream, ranch) and the Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers® Combo (Chicken tenders tossed in our famous honey-chipotle sauce, served with white cheddar mac & cheese, fries & house-made ranch. Quesadilla was good. Crispy, cheesy, and customizable. All the things it should be. What I mean is that with the ranch, the pico, and the sour cream, you can add as much or as little of what you want to each bite. Always a good thing. Solid. And the crispers, as delicious as I always remember them being. Crispy, slathered in sauce, and with plenty of good dipping ranch. I seriously love these. I usually give places like this four stars, but I just can't not give my chicken crispers less than five stars. The only thing, not a very big surprise, is the shinkflation going on. There's no denying that the size of the tenders has shrunk in recent years. That's just life. But hey, Chili's, when the economy calms down, maybe give us full sized tenders again? Please. read more

Stopped in after a long day of driving, plane delays and a three hour flight to escape the winter in NY. Walked in to find the place sparsely filled, the room seemed dark, and no one around to seat us. After a 5 minute wait we grabbed a couple seats at the bar. 3-4 other patrons at the bar and no bartender in sight. A few minutes later the bartender came from the kitchen and got us some beers. Menus delivered with the beers along with some menus and we quickly ordered....I was hungry! Another round of beer with the meal - cheeseburger and fries which was really big and I was ready to hit the road. Food was average. Service also average. I've been to this location a couple of times & it's definitely the best one out of the Orlando locations I've been to. All the servers and bartenders are always superrr nice and pretty quick. It's typically pretty slow, at least on the nights I've stopped in, but the ambiance is still nice and not like boring just because it's empty. The food is always hot and fresh and I've never had any complaints. I loveee the white cheddar mac and cheese here. The only thing I don't like is that their "Garlic Parmesan" is far from it. It's like a spicy orange sauce that doesn't taste like Garlic or Parmesan. But I'm sure that's a company wide thing and not specific to this location, but still disappointing nonetheless if you aren't aware of it. We were on our way to catch a movie and decided to grab a quick lunch today at Chili's in Oviedo. We were sat within a few minutes, no issues there and then the wait began. That should have been the first clue that this wasn't going to end well. It was around 11:30, barely anyone there and no sign of the waitress for over ten minutes. Knowing that sometimes opening a restaurant can have issues, I let it go and waited. When our waitress finally came, she was the angriest looking, unfriendliest waitress that we ever saw. We said hello, friendly greeting, and we received a muttered response. She started snapping at us for drink orders. I asked for a Coke, my son asked for a chocolate milk and she said that she didn't have that. No problem. My daughter ordered a lemonade while my son tried to figure out what he wanted. That for some reason led the waitress to telling us that she would have to mix the chocolate milk and looked angry about it. No worries, my son ordered a lemonade. We ordered an appetizer, she followed that by demanding if that was it. I told her that was enough and asked the kids if they were ready to order lunch. The waitress' response, "Oh, that's an appetizer?" leaving us all to frown in confusion. She then sighed heavily, angrily tapped at her iPad, was short, snappy, and just rude while we ordered three basic meals, burgers, and a pasta plate. When we were done, she finished angrily tapping and without a word turned to greet the table across from us and blew us away when she was friendly with them, greeted them, asked them questions, laughed, etc. We shared a look and it was definitely uncomfortable situation, but we were starving and wanted to catch a movie so we stayed. I regret that. Our food came with very dirty dishes. We politely asked the server if we could have clean plates. This woman was very warm, nice and quickly took them away. Then we were given three more dirty plates. We made due with using napkins as plates as we ate our appetizer. Our waitress rushes past us with a mocking "Sorry you got dirty plates." My kids got very quiet with that, looked very uncomfortable and so was I. Our food came a few minutes later and it was literally shoved in front of us as we rushed to move things out of her way. Muttered comments while I was forced to grab my plate to stop it from being shoved into my chest. Now, we came starving, but the food was gross. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger without cheese. The bun was dried out, tasted old as did the mushrooms. They were dry, had a gritty feel to them and half my burger was missing and the part they did give me was broken. The fries were pretty decent. The corn was cold and oily, but I was starving so I ate that. My daughter's burger was covered in hard crunchy bits, bun was old, and fries were cold. My son only managed to eat half the pasta. When the waitress saw me grab my credit card and started to pay with the tablet, she rushed over and was suddenly very nice to us, asking if we wanted to-go boxes, but we were absolutely done. We thanked her, but told her no. She rushed off with that. I then proceeded to give the smallest tip that I have given in years. I normally tip 25 to 30% tip for good service, but I refused to give this waitress a generous tip. I tipped fifteen percent and even that felt like I overpaid. This Chili's stands out for its service. I have always had a really great experience with their staff especially at the bar and if it weren't for a couple factors it would be a "5-star" Chili's. I feel like I have to reiterate that it's Chili's - I don't come to Chili's expecting it to be a 5-star dining experience, so it's the closest thing to just a great Chili's location (probably realistically a 3.5 star experience, with the service at the bar being the real highlight). I don't have high expectations for the food but sometimes they do really surprise me. The salmon I had here was perfectly cooked: not dry at all and perfectly crispy on the edges. The broccoli is always perfectly cooked and most of the time their chicken dishes are usually cooked correctly; I can't stand over cooked chicken. There was one occasion where they were experiencing a complete change of kitchen staff so there were a few weird presentations of the food and I've had to remind them of like the tortilla strip toppings on the margarita grilled chicken dish and once they ran out of their usual rice... once the queso wasn't nearly as warm as it probably was supposed to be served... but was still delicious. if you're looking for a seat in the dining room it might take a while it always seems like they're short staffed which is a common problem at restaurants these days so tread kindly. We almost always sit in the bar area and it's seat yourself, but we do occasionally sit in the dining areas and it has taken a while to be acknowledged. The cleanliness is a hit or a miss throughout the restaurant but I don't have any major complaints. I've come to realize it's usually 1 person wearing many hats trying to accomplish a lot in the absence of a properly staffed restaurant and they can only do so much at once, but they're still wearing a smile and so friendly. read more

Chili's is mainly budget dining but at the same time they have some very flavorful dishes. The menu is full with enough drinks to bring out your inner lush with margaritas or soft drinks. Dining options where you can get anything from chicken to steak or burgers and fries. They have salads and soups as well. The chips and guacamole are awesome and if you have rewards or codes you can get a free item. This particular chili's is on its own side in a shared parking lot with Target and down the block from the mall. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. My sister and I both got the 3 for me I got the chips and salsa which is big enough to share with 3 people, she got the ceaser salad. Due to my sister's gluten allergy she was able to get the chicken sandwich but grilled with no bun which she said tasted amazing and was well seasoned. We almost didn't go because of the bad reviews we saw on yelp. But we decided to go because of Chili's reputation and our past experience years ago. Well, it didn't disappoint! We are SO glad we went! We went as a family of 5 and everyone loved it! The food was great just like we remembered it to be! We started with the free chips and salsa and the Awesome Blossom! Wow! The chips were perfect! Nobody could get enough. The Blossom was perfect! I've never tasted it that good! I had the mixed fajitas and loved it! My wife had the quesadillas salad. She said she loved it! One kid had the ribs. Yum yum! The other had a burger and loved it. My little one had the macaroni with a side of corn on the cob. She left nothing on the cob! Then we finished the night off to a lava fudge cake. You've never seen something disappear that fast! Our experience was wonderful as a family! The atmosphere was great! Honestly this review has nothing to do about the food and all about the service, me and my partner went there after work and I had decided to try something new since I always get the same salad. I got the chipotle chicken bowl and it was way too spicy for my taste. That is 100% my own fault however. Our Server said she felt bad and asked multiple times if I wanted something else to eat or even offered somethings to put in my food to help with the spice. I of course said no to the extra food because once again me not liking my food is 100% MY OWN FAULT. But she went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time there. It was very loud and didn't care for the atmosphere took extremely long to get waited on and once we finally did get our food, which was a burger, and my wife specifically asked for no green chili on it but they brought it out the same and we were starving by that time... And I was not satisfied either as I asked for a barbecue brisket, and there was hardly any brisket on it! They covered it under an actual, basic burger... And very little coleslaw...not happy. I'm not usually a huge chili's fan, but my best friend had mentioned the chocolate molten lava cake for several days now so we finally caved. Our table only ordered drinks and desserts but our server was very friendly and treated us just as well as the others ordering full meals. Let's face it, Chili's is Chili's, am I right? I don't come here having high expectations for food, and believe me, they don't deliver either. The food is inconsistent, nothing comes close to good for you, the broccoli is microwaved, the fried pickles make me sad.....I mean, it's just all over the place. It's not a total loss though. They have drink specials, there is a game console on the table for parents who would like to keep their phones in-hand for a change, and the menu is crazy adaptable to whatever combination of foods you're looking to eat. Maybe *too* adaptable, even. There are so many combos! It's bananas. I will also say this location has excellent service, despite presumed staffing issues preventing keeping tables from staying filled during busy times. They have some situation where you can put yourself in the queue to be seated before you get to the restaurant, which is probably a good idea if you're "planning" to go to Chili's, which we never are.
