This particular Tijuana Flats is located in the Winter Park Corners shopping plaza on Aloma Avenue, so it is a convenient location with plenty of parking. While Tijuana Flats is not the most authentic Mexican restaurant, Tijuana Flats is a pretty solid (though Americanized) fast casual restaurant to offer a quick and decently priced meal. The service here was friendly and I enjoyed my trip to the hot sauce bar to compliment my burrito. Tijuana Flats is also a hometown success story, as it began here in the Orlando, Florida area. In fact, the first location opened here in Winter Park, Florida back in 1995. It has since grown to well over a hundred locations. The food is good and all in all, Tijuana Flats is a great chain. This location offered me a positive experience, as did the handful of other locations that I have been to. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Tijuana Flats and I will give it five stars overall. I ordered the Dos Tacos meal and had a short conversation with the young man working the register. He was very kind and funny. Once the food came out I was surprised at how big the tacos were! Usually I'm finding the tacos at most TF to have thin, soggy shells, the beef is lukewarm, and you only get a small portion of chips. This was the exact opposite! Great customer service, the food was good and the ambiance was nice. We ordered the Dueling Queso appetizer which was delicious. We love this appetizer because I like the white queso and my husband enjoys the yellow queso. This gives us both options. We also had the cheesy steak flautas which were great. They give you a lot of food so we packed out leftovers and ate them the next day. Will definitely visit this location when I'm in the area. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I popped in to TFlatts for lunch after not visiting for awhile and I'm so glad I did! It was my first time at this location and I really enjoyed it. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and also super attentive for refills and cleaning the table throughout the meal. I ordered my go-to Dos Tacos and got soft shell with chicken. I like to add the sweet hot sauce but the sauce bar was out of it, so the staff made me some and brought it out. I also ordered a side of guacamole and that was delicious with their perfectly seasoned chips. The sink is clearly visible from the counter, yet no one used it before handling customer transactions. I like Tijuana Flats and will continue as a customer. The problem today was with DoorDash driver Yedi. The food was dropped off in Lobby. Told receptionist she did not know the apartment even though DD had it & I sent a text msg. directly to driver restating apartment number & which way to turn when she got off elevator on my floor. Receptionist also told her. Driver said, No, turned & left. She also did not ask for my security code. Receptionist said she did not believe driver could speak English. Hopefully Tiajuana Flats will see this review and alert DoorDash. DD also makes it hard to give immediate feedback on drivers. read more

This location was recently fully renovated and it looks amazing! New signage on the outside, new menu boards, some flipping amazing wall art, complete with a newly designed hot sauce bar! It looks totally different and I love it. Nice and open, clean and bright. The food is and always has been delicious! My last visit we tried out some things we've never had before like the Bangin' Chicken dip, tostadas and the churro bites. What I didn't know was the dip comes out cold- so if you are expecting something warm, just be forewarned. Flavor is good though. Tostadas were great.. and the churro bites were the perfect texture. Used our Yelp Elite code to get an appetizer, two orders of flautas, and two fountains drinks! For our app, we got the Atom bombs (aka flautas filled with cream cheese and jalapeños). They came with a duck sauce that was really good and the portion was huge for an appetizer. We got an order of the cheesy steak flautas and another order of the kick'in chicken flautas. I've been to Tijuana Flats many times and it was always great. Today I ordered dos tacos no jalapeños to go, when I got home about 10 minutes later the food was cold. There was maybe 2 tablespoons of ground beef on each taco, the rest was all lettuce. No cheese, tomatoes or onions. Yet, I requested everything else. Very disappointing! My favorite feature of Tijuana Flats is the hot sauce bar where you pick and choose different sauces to pair with your food. Karla decided to order a "Steak Burrito" with no jalapeños or tomatoes with a side of "Chips + Queso". Karla said that while the burrito tastes good it was light on the steak portion. I ordered the "Classic Blackened Chicken Chimichanga" with no sour cream. The chimichanga it paired perfect with the Ocean Deck Rasta Sauce. Our go-to when we're in a pinch and want something fresh and solid. The service is always great and the food hot and fresh. I've been here probably close to 50 times and never had a bad experience. My go-to is anything chicken tinga. It's newer to their menu this year, but has turned into my favorite. The flautas are fun and of course their hot sauce bar is top notch. My kids love the quesadillas and tacos and always happily eat them. Their sweet tea and nugget ice are great to sip on and a Tijuana trio is a great choice too. Every inch of the interior was covered with colorful artwork - including the ceiling - and the bestie had to remind me to stay focused on the menu so that I could order before I walked over to examine some of the artwork more closely. You place your order at the counter and then they bring it out to you when ready. I ordered the chicken tacos (hard shells) and a side of the queso. While waiting, my friend and I chose some salsa from the complimentary salsa bar and our food came out shortly. The chicken tacos were just "okay" as the chicken didn't have much flavor, so I drowned my tacos in various salsa flavors. The queso was pretty good though, but if you don't eat it fast enough, it starts to coagulate and the tortilla chips break as they try to penetrate the tough cheese, but to be fair, most queso is like this. All in all, a good experience- the atmosphere/decor is what really gives Tijuana Flats a higher rating. read more

This location has really gone down hill. It seems every time I order here they just don't care. My food is always cold. Last night I ordered on the app I always do and was at the counter as the food was ready for pick up. I open it in my car as I was driving home from work and the tacos were cold. Not just the shell but the meat too was barely warm. The queso was cold too but since I just got off work and was hungry I still ate the cold queso but the rest was inedible. I work in a restaurant and I get it that 25 minutes before close sometimes you just don't care but people should be able to eat the food they paid for. I spent $13 on my meal and didn't get to enjoy a cent of it. read more

Tijuana flights to be one of my go-to places when hanging out with my friends after work because I really enjoy their sauce bar and their chips especially their queso. But as the years have gone the competition around them has really stepped it up specially considering the cost. With that said while it is a delicious place it's just not my go-to anymore. I order from this location regularly, and they are a constant disappointment. They staff is friendly, but almost every time I get my food it's like the cooks don't give a damn. Maybe they don't pay attention or do the absolute least. I never complain about it, but with my last order they put a tiny pinch of everything that was supposed to be in the order. Sucks. If there was something lower than a 1 Star I would give them that. We went in for my son to have a pre practice meal he cut in to his burrito and there was a hair in it. We chalked it up to a fluke. Then he cuts another piece and another hair . When we brought it to their attention they were very apologetic and gave him a whole new one but we will NEVER return to this place. It was our first and last time going there. We also noticed nobody there was wearing a hairnet so who knows how many hairs he ate without knowing. Totally disgusting. My husband and I took our two kids to dine-in around 7pm Taco Tuezday. We ordered three orders of tacos with one order to be split between our kids. The guys at the counter was so friendly and he offered to give each of our kids a drink instead of them having share, free of charge. When the food came out it looked kind of sloppy. The tacos weren't closed they were just laid flat with the ingredients put on top and nachos tossed around the plate. But the food was hot and delicious and our drinks never got empty. I have passed by a number of these establishments throughout the city and finally had the chance to dine here. At the door we were greeted and given a menu - she explained then menu and the specials. The bangin' chicken salad caught my attention. I ordered that with jalapeños, olives and avocado ranch dressing. It was a very nice sized salad with an edible bowl - delish! A sample of the chicken chimichanga was very good as well. Overall the food and experience was very good - I can't wait to test out the other menu items. Love Tijuana Flats! This location was very clean and the service is what pushed it up to 5 stars! My family had never been there before so we grabbed the menus and a table just to go over it. In just a few seconds, someone came up and asked us if we had any questions and looking at my mom's confused face, she offered us a picture book since their menu didn't have pictures of the food. The picture book was amazing -- it had all the ingredients and large pictures of the food (seriously -- I had never seen these at any Tijuana Flats and I have been to at least a dozen around the state). I usually order the Taco salad with blackened chicken (avocado dressing of course), but the picture of the tostada was mighty enticing so I gave it a try -- best decision ever. They are like mini chicken loaded nachos. With five of us ordering, our bill was amazingly low (my mom thought it was an error at first) and I even had a coupon from the Sunday Orlando Sentinel for 5$ off. We ordered dessert afterwards and both their churros and their flautas were great (and only 2.99 a plate for 5 or 6 pieces each -- we had trouble finishing them). The vibe in this place is kinda rocker-chic. It definitely has a strong local following. The staff were all friendly and made us feel as if we were some of the "regulars". The place was clean and well maintained. You could tell the management is excellent. We each ordered something different. For appetizer we got the trio. The quest was amazing, and the salsa and guacamole were really good, too. The chips were fresh and crisp and perfectly salted. I could not stop eating them! My husband said the grilled mahi mahi fish tacos were excellent, and my chimichanga was pretty good. I got as assortment of the salsas from the salsa bar, and they added the perfect touch of flavor for my chimichanga. The kids got the quesadilla, and it was the most favorable chicken and cheese quesadilla I think I have ever tried. The other two adults in our party ordered dishes I can't remember, but they said they were fantastic and everyone ate every crumb.
