Ate here for dinner today. It has your typical grill and restaurant food. We love the all you ca can eat chips and salsa. We got that with a salad and a perfectly cooked steak. My son doesn't usually drink anything at the restaurant so they have us a soda at no additional charge. I'm a big fan of Chili's but this last visit to the Oviedo location was disappointed. Granted, it was a Friday night and they were busy as ever - to be expected. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, but again, I've waited longer. Our server took our order quickly but our appetizer and food took forever to come out. The queso came out 20 minutes later and wasn't hot. Whatever, we were starving and it was edible. Our food came out much, much later and did not impress. My mom and sister ordered the "Sizzling Fajitas" and they were not sizzling at all when they came out. They were cold and not nearly as good as they normally are. I always order the Triple Dipper with Big Mouth Bites, Honey Chipotle Chicken, and egg rolls. The Big Mouth Bites were (you guessed it) cold and falling apart. The meat was dry and tasteless. The eggrolls were soggy and meh The chicken was okay but not as good as it normally is. I'm sure they were backed up in the kitchen and were having an off night and I would not (could not) stop going to Chili's but I was pretty disappointed this night. read more

Lack of COVID protocols... While many restaurants adapted their seating and services, this location decided not to do some major adjustments. Notably they do block off every other smaller table but the issue is with large booths. No spacing, no partitions and you are literally sitting inches away from people behind you and it's not uncommon to accidentally touch each other. I guess revenue is more important. read more

This Chili's is not even close to being ready to resume normal operations. We went after a game this weekend and it was a disaster. We were a party of 8 and there were people already inside. First, it took over 30 minutes to call us back in to get seated but they didn't have room for our group so we had to split the party up between 2 tables, which one of the tables hadn't been cleaned yet. They it took an hour and half to bring our food after the long wait to get it all ordered. The ladies bathroom was a disaster so even trying to wash hands was terrible. This is the worst Chilis in Orlando. The host told us our wait would be 30min. My family and I waited for over 40min and also watched while families came in after us and got seated before us. I asked for a manager and didn't get to see one. Today my family spent our very last dollar and lunch at this Chili's location. Not only was every meal so bad and prepared poorly but it also made our children sick after the meal. The staff is also clueless about how to serve food and wait on customers. One occasion the waitress was sweeping under every chair in our section next to us and DRAGGING each chair across the floor so loudly we could not even hear ourselves talk. We asked her to stop and she had a look of dismay on her face. We are a family of 4 and know that Chili's is not a fine dinning experience but their food, staff and managers need to go back to training school and figure out why their reviews are so bad at this location. Chili's used to be a decent restaurant and the past couple of times that we visited we waited for over 1.5 hours for just fajitas and sliders. The atmosphere is always load with screaming kids. The food was cold and the service was terrible! The waitress was unattentive and had a do not care attitude. She actually dumped a tray with salsa that landed on my mom as well as outside/inside her designer purse and just said sorry and handed her a few napkins and left the mess on the floor and that they would take care of that later. Not to mention that my mom is 86 years old and could have slipped on the salsa all over the floor. We will not be back. read more

Had the new chicken crispers on waffles. The chicken was overcooked, super tough/chewy and the waffles were cold? Not sure if they were susposed to be or not. I would have preferred them hot. Chili's is a pretty good restaurant with a nice selection of food to order. They have been around for quite some time and are pretty consistent at this location with the service and food. All of the dishes are pretty tasty and the deserts will have you feeling regret if you don't save room to have one. The only thing I would change is the cups to classes in order to get rid of the hard water stains. However the good service and food makes up for that small annoyance. read more

OMG, what was I thinking? Years ago I tried a Chili's and decided to not come back, why did I change my mind? This place was so bad I created a Yelp account just to review it. The floors were FILTHY. It was disgusting. Half the empty tables were greasy and dirty and still had pieces of food from the last diners on them. I ordered the so-called famous baby back ribs, the wife got some sort of tacos. The ribs- how to describe? They were so small I wondered if they had been cut from a small dog or perhaps cat. They tasted like they were frozen, shoved into a microwave and had BBQ sauce dumped on them. Only after I tasted them was I glad at how small they were. The fries were average at best. The water tasted like chlorine. The tacos were tiny, and the rice served with them wasn't even a Mexican rice. It was a rice pilaf that was buttered. WTF? Nasty. It took a long time to even get this food. I can't imagine why it takes so long to throw together microwave food. Its a shame the Del Taco acrossed the street a ways went out of business, they had far better food and a cleaner dining room. The portions were so small we left feeling like we had ordered appetizers. Clearly, Oviedo has been over-run by idiots given the number of people who think this place has good food. Its a shame they wasted the celery field that used to be here to build this place. This is Mexican food for people who have never had any other Mexican food than Swanson's frozen dinners. My son and I have been to this location numerous times and it use to be a weekly tradition for us. Tonight we visited this location for a little celebration. It was his choice because we have always had good service and food here. They were unusually busy tonight due to all the power outages in the surrounding neighborhoods, so maybe that should have been a sign to stay home. We start off with start off with some fried mozzarella. It arrives in decent time. Our server also took our complete order during the appetizer order, which was smart. About 15 mins later our meal arrives and everything "looks" good. My son ordered grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I ordered the club chicken tacos, with rice and steamed broccoli. His shrimp was very spicy, which was not indicated in the menu. Also his mashed potatoes had the skin left in, also not mentioned in the menu. However, he said the shrimp was good, I tasted the potatoes and they were good as well. My club chicken taco was not tasteful. The chicken was completely dried out, the lettuce seemed old and there was only a few drops of dressing. The rice was acceptable, but its rice, hard to mess up. Both plates of broccoli seemed microwaved. Im shocked at this location's quality of food, I've visited this Chili's numerous times and had great tasting food (for a chain). Its rather sad. read more

Haven't been to this Chili's in a while so gave it a try with the family on Sunday about noon. We ordered Chicken Nachos and the Bacon Ranch Steak Quesadilla to share. They loved the Quesadilla (I didn't eat any since I don't eat beef) and the Chicken Nachos were 'ok'. It appears they changed how they make them now and while the originals weren't "amazing", they were pretty decent and grew on me. If these nachos are their new recipe/way I wouldn't order them again. What's not to love about Chili's? First of all - check in and get free chips & salsa. They have a great kids menu - great happy hour specials. It really makes the whole family happy. For me, I've been eating the same food at Chili's since high school - Chicken Fajitas. They are simply the best around. I've tried a couple of other things- but it always comes back to fajitas. This is the WORST Chilis I have been to. I was a huge fan of chilis until I went to this location. We had reservation and my wife is vegetarian and I do not eat bacon. She ordered a vegetarian burger and it came with bacon on top. Okay thats a honest mistake. We told the waitress and she came back with a vegetarian burger. That one had a quarter dollar size piece of bacon on it. REALLY!! the second time. More than that, it looked like they just removed the bacon from the first burger and did a lousy job of that. I have been going to this location for years, but lately it's been going down hill. Case in point. On 01/18/15 in the evening me and three guest dined at the Winter Springs location. One of my guests asked for hot tea; a pretty simple request you would think. What she got was a beer mug filled with warm tea. When we asked for hot tea in a tea/coffee mug the server looked at me like I had three heads. She took the warm tea and poured it into a coffee mug and gave it back to us. When we asked for milk it took for ever to get it. As you can assume when she did arrived back with milk the tea was now ice cold. You can't make this stuff up. This is my regular Chili's location but tonight I had the worst service ever. My waiter was rude. Didn't smile once. Wasn't welcoming. Didn't ask to take our order even once. We had to stop him as he passed our table after waiting almost 40min just to place the order for an appetizer. After we spent 2hrs here and we got our check. We got charged for things we ordered but never even received because our waiter "forgot" to ring them in. When we mentioned it to him, he literally threw his hands in the air, loudly exhaled, and said "fine, I'll be right back". This is the worst service I have ever received. I wish I knew this guys name because I wanted to speak to the manager so badly. But after spending 2hrs with this sorry excuse of a server, I was beyond ready to leave. We got there for dinner. 3 adults and 2 children. The hostess gave us a notification device and said it will be 30 minutes. 30 minutes pass and no table. I ask the hostess and she say's we have a party of 25 (in another room) and it will be about 30 minutes more. The manager was passing by and I asked where is our table. I guess I'm the critical one. I ordered their $20.00 dinner for two. My wife had quesadillas and I had the BBQ ribs with smoked potatoes (that's another story). My ribs came out dry, slathered with BBQ sauce on one side in hopes that it would make them tender. Didn't work. Back to the potatoes. They were served in a little fry pan, also dried out. It's a shame because the drinks were good, but the food was pushed out without any concern for quality. If the restaurant is busy, that is not my problem. This Chili's is off my list. I will pay anything for quality food and quite frankly this was the farthest from quality, as a caveat, I will contact Chili's corporate. We went wed at 12:30pm. Bad start 2 out of 3 menus had an ant on it gross ! Had to wait to be seated way to long no hostess to be seen. Asked about free quac with meal waitress said we had to have phone with code ( forgot mine at home). My 9 year old said to just look it up on the little screen u pay ur bill. There it was so quac came after food. Food ... brisket was way fatty actually a big hunk of fat was 1/3 of the portion. Sausage was good.. bread and corn were loaded with paprika... the corn looked totally red had to be wiped off still one side couldn't be eaten likewise bread was Red couldn't be eaten. I'm not sure if I should be writing this or not, but I feel compelled to rant, so here goes. I've gone to this Chili's location quite a bit and have not felt as offended as I have tonight. In the previous time I've gone, the food has been good, the service has been decent, and drinks are nothing to complain about. But tonight left a really dark mark. After running errands at the neighboring Target we decided to get dinner at this location as to take a break from cooking tonight, and from when our server began to take care of us, our horrible experience began. She rushed us though the restaurant was hardly that busy when we got in to start off with--I myself was going to order a drink when she asked, "Are you guys ready to order?" Well that put me off a bit and I honestly thought it was kind of rude. The next few minutes is when things started to get more sour, though. The table in front of ours was seated by an older couple, and our server began taking care of them as well. However though, her approach was different: she actually bothered to take her sweet time with them and took their drink orders, not once bothering to ask if they were ready to order (unlike us). It is worth mentioning here that the couple was white, and our server was white herself, while we were NOT white. I don't want to jump to conclusions and claim racism, but I kind of feel that it played a role in this case. She even made small talk with them, which she never bothered to do with us. Fast forward to getting our food: the couple at the table in front of ours got theirs right before we did, and said server mixed up my parents' orders, basically switching them so to speak. As for mine it was supposed to come with fries but didn't, something she acknowledged (but did NOT apologize for), and I can tell you that I finished everything else in my order sans fries because they failed to come. And when we were paying she totally ignored the fact that those fries never came. I only gave this Yelp review two stars because of the food quality, nothing more. read more

I love Chili's. The one in Lake Mary is exceptional. The Oviedo location is unfortunately still horrible. I did the survey four months ago stating the issues(lack of utensils, dressing, wilted lettuce). Seems this is still an ongoing thing here. Gristle left on the chicken, no dressing, same wilted lettuce in our salads. I really hope upper management reads these things because local management can't see to wrangle these problems in. To be this disappointed curbside on a slow evening is alarming. It's not like this stuff is "cheap". Subway has 6 dollar salads that are ten times better. Because I've been ripped off by this location before I ordered chili with my Buffalo salad, low and behold it was awful. Literally tasted old. It was really thick with stale tortilla chips, totally inedible. If you have a desire to eat at a major restaurant chain, try the Lake Mary location. It is much better than this one. read more
