Different location...food and service was good! Not much more to say except we will be back!

    Grilled Chicken & Strawberry Salad

I wanted to keep it simple for dinner tonight so I decided to order out at Longhorn. Once I arrived the curbside pickup team was quick enough to bring out my order so I could be on my way. The restaurant was and has been pretty packed since they opened, but thankfully I had no issues getting in and out. I ordered the grilled chicken and strawberry salad which comes with a raspberry vinaigrette. I have to say this is one of the better food items I've had from Longhorn. The chicken was nice and tender, and the various fruits (strawberries, grapes, oranges) paired well with the feta cheese and dressing. If you're a salad person, I'd definitely recommend trying it whenever you're at Longhorn.

Typical chain steakhouse restaurant. Nothing special. Just wanted a simple dinner... service was okay. Don't expect 5 star. I guess it depends on who you get as a server... I would say the staff is running the restaurant. No manager on site... at least during my 1.5 hours of dining. Steak was over cooked and the baked potato was warm at best.

Second time eating at this Longhorn and my last. I has a salad and in my salad I found a bug. I let the manager know about it and got we wash the food, blah blah.

French onion soup by the cup or bowel. Both are delicious

Excellent food. Very tasty and well seasoned. Great portion sizes. French onion soup hit the spot. Ribeye on the bone was super tasty down to gnawing on the bone to savor the grilled on seasoning. Great service by Camden, the bar tender, and front desk. Curious that so many guests were waiting for tables even though many tables were actually empty. 15 minute wait was still fine, but the bar tender had his hands full with bar dining and drinking. They should really have moved people to the empty tables and put another bar tender on to cope with the rush. Ambience was on point with the theme and yet intimate for a great personal dining experience on my birthday.

One of my favorite things about it is that it hasn't changed much over the years, but in the best way. It's family-run, the vibe is comfortable and familiar, and the staff has always been amazing. We've had countless dinners here with big groups (10+ people), and they deliver every single time. That kind of consistency is rare. What I order every single visit: Salad with house dressing, it's honestly one of my favorite dressings anywhere. Loaded Buckskins - You have to get these. Think a cross between a steak fry and a potato wedge, loaded with cheese and bacon, addictively good. Petite strip steak - Perfect portion, cooked and seasoned just right every time. Simple, consistent, and exactly what you want. They also bring out warm brown bread with your meal that just hits, and a side of applesauce that I've come to think of as the perfect little palate cleanser, such a simple touch, but it makes the experience feel even more classic. This is one of those places that feels like home. No frills, no trends, just really good food, great people, and decades of consistency. This will absolutely be a staple for me as long as I live in Sanford.

At 9pm the parking lot was packed! So we decided to go back Saturday for dinner and we were not disappointed! The ambiance is old school 80's rustic. This is not a fancy overpriced steakhouse... they clearly understand "if it's not broke don't fix it!" It reminded me of that old school spot where you walk in and everyone knows you. We started with some drinks and apps... coconut shrimp and jalapeño poppers. Came out hot and tasty! For mains we had the grilled chicken breast, rib eye, filet and the strip steak. All the proteins came out perfectly cooked, sides were delicious! The homemade peach cobbler was great, I wish it had some more peaches but other than that it was perfect! The service was amazing, our server came back to check on us several times and kept the drinks topped off! I am so happy we stumbled in and I can say we will definitely be back! It was a great meal, good vibes and full bellies!

They have a few nice craft beers on tap and the most amazing hummus platter ever. So many places give you a tiny dollop of hummus, a few crackers and if you're lucky a few cut up carrots. The hummus is very flavorful with a tiny kick and the lavash is super crunchy with an amazing seasoning on it that reminds me of "everything bagel seasoning". You'll see two different pictures - these were taken a year or more apart but you can see things have barely changed. You always get the amazing crackers and carrots and a huge amount of hummus. For my entree, I got the chopped elk medium cooked. It was fantastic. Very delicious and almost tasted like a really beefy meatloaf. Not gamey at all. The sauce drizzled on it was so savory. I wished there were more mashed potatoes underneath because those were amazing too. It was also a very big portion. Definitely recommend. Would come back again and try something else or even order that again.

We also tried the quesadillas and sliders on the happy hour menu. Both dishes tasted incredible! Sadly, though the happy hour has half priced apps, the plates are also half sized. They were absolutely delicious, but the dishes felt overpriced for the portion size. As for drinks, I tried the sangria flight. I wasn't expecting such a full portion size and was pleasantly surprised with that. I did, however, only find 2 of the 4 drinks to be especially tasty. I wouldn't order that flight again, but would be interested in their wine offerings. I loved the low lighting in the space as it set such a calm and laid back mood. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and especially loved the food! Totally recommend.

We ordered steaks cooked medium well--nothing crazy, just a little pink in the middle like most people expect. Instead, we had to send the steak back twice because it came out way too rare/red in the center both times. Then the "manager" Mariah showed up with the returned steak the first time. She stood there while my wife cut into it, revealing it was still basically raw/red inside. We politely pointed it out and reminded her we'd ordered medium well. Her response? "I know what medium well means." When I asked her what she thought it should look like, she snapped back with, "I'm not the one eating it." Seriously? That level of rude, dismissive attitude from a manager is unbelievable. No apology, no ownership, just pure sass and zero customer service. I told her I'd be leaving a review about this mess, and she casually mentioned she'd already "informed" her boss, the managing partner Rachel. Guess what? Rachel never bothered to come to the table, check on us, or even pretend to care. Not a single attempt to make it right. We've given this location so many chances over the years, but tonight was the last straw. Inconsistent cooking (they can't seem to get medium well right), terrible attitudes from management, and zero accountability when things go wrong. If you actually care about getting a properly cooked steak and being treated like a paying customer instead of an inconvenience, avoid this location at all costs. They clearly don't value regulars or basic respect. One star is generous--save your money and your patience somewhere else.

To begin with, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. Instead, we ended up waiting well over an hour and a half to be seated. That alone was frustrating. When the steak finally arrived, it looked burnt or heavily charred on top. At first, I wondered where the actual grill marks were. After taking a bite, I was even more disappointed. The ribeye seemed drenched in oil rather than finished with butter, and all I could taste was grease. There was very little flavor, and it seemed like no effort had been made to season it with even basic salt and pepper. The minestrone soup was also a letdown. Instead of a traditional Italian minestrone, it seemed to be mostly corn and peas with very little resemblance to what I expected. The pasta dish wasn't much better--it was oddly spicy, yet somehow still bland and lacking any real flavor. After waiting that long, I can honestly say it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. I would rather eat at Ruth's Chris, Texas Roadhouse, or LongHorn Steakhouse than return here. The service was just as disappointing. During our entire visit, we saw our waiter fewer than four times--once to take our order, once to bring bread and soup, once to deliver our meals, and then a quick "Is everything okay?" before disappearing again. I genuinely cannot fathom the hype surrounding this restaurant. Between the hour-and-a-half wait, inattentive service, flavorless food, and disappointing steak, the experience fell far short of expectations. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Most recently I went in to grab food to go. I walked up to the line where you order and I had to wait for two employees to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledged me. I told them what I wanted and they passed my paper to the cashier. I was a little confused because I was getting brisket and they did not ask how I wanted it (lean, moist, etc) so I asked if I was supposed to go to the cashier or stay with the people making my food. I got a little bit of an attitude from the employee who said to go to the cashier. I ordered sliders by the way, I haven't ordered them in a while so maybe you don't get a choice on type of brisket if you get sliders? Not sure. I paid and waited for my order to get finished (never told them how I wanted my brisket) and the cashier handed me my bag. I looked inside, no utensils, no sauce, no napkins. I asked for sauce and she grabbed a handful and dropped it into my bag like I was bothering her. I figured I was asking too much to ask for napkins so I stopped at a table and grabbed some paper towels from one of the rolls. Finally get to where i'm able to eat. I used to get the sliders all the time so I was excited! You get a variety and they're big sliders, like hefty! Boy was i disappointed when I opened my to-go box. The portion of meat was atleast half of what i've gotten in the past and for my pork slider it was maybe 1/3 of the meat it usually is. I ended up taking the top part of the slider bun off and eating them like open faced sandwiches because otherwise there would have been more bread than meat. Overall, 4Rivers is one of my favorite BBQ spots, I love the Messy Pig and the Six Shooter and all their desserts! I really hope I just went on off days and this isn't the new norm for 4R!
