My wife and I visited LongHorn Steakhouse, Oviedo, FL the day before Easter. May wife thoroughly enjoy the filet mignon and lobster. She also had loaded baked potato and salad as sides. I ordered the lamb chops with loaded baked potato and salad. A warm mini-loaf of fresh baked bread was served with our drinks. The salad greens were fresh, chilled and crisp. The main entres were served hot after we finished our salads. I got to tell you, the five lamb chops were plated on a pillow of steamed spinach, deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly. They were lightly adorned with sauce that put the flavor over the top. The service was excellent. Each course was timely delivered by a cheerful server. Our interactions with her were brief yet pleasant. The restaurant premises were pristine. The tables were pre-bussed and then fully cleaned when vacated. It was an outstanding meal out! read more

This is a fairly new Longhorn steakhouse, and it was very clean and presentable. They went out of their way to make sure that we had really good seating for a large group when we were there, which I appreciate. The service was OK, the waiter often times disappeared and forgot to bring basic essentials, such as ketchup or the ranch dressing or come by for refills on the drinks. It would've been nice if we had a few of those things without having to track him down. The crispy chicken sandwich is very good and the chicken is moist and tender. The breading is a little salty and the fries are on the salty side, which I don't mind however some cannot have as much salt so it's a good to know. We have the chocolate stampede for dessert and that was absolutely amazing. Overall, I enjoy this location in this restaurant and I would return. read more

We had great service from Victoria today. Lunch was excellent and service excellent, as well.

Food: fair filet was small and flavorless. Cooked correctly. Mashed potatoes were good, strawberry salad was okay (seemed a bit off). Spinach dip was very thick and hard to portion/spread. Tasted okay. The shrimp appetizer was good, but the portion size of the dipping sauce was meager (we had to ask for more). Lobster tail was very good. Drinks: watermelon margarita was horrible (very sweet) and way too expensive, regular margarita was just okay. Old fashioned was good, but a very small portion. Service: okay, server didn't offer water unless asked. When delivered there was very little ice. Food was delivered a little too fast. Wasn't done with my salad when my main entree arrived. Greeter was cordial and the bar waiter was also very accommodating. The service staff bussed the table well. Ambiance: good. It was a little loud and very busy. That can be expected. My husband and I came in for an early dinner. Everything went very well! When entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a male hostess (I hate that I didn't get his name) who was very kind and welcoming. We decided to dine at the bar. We were then greeted by Dominique who was our bartender/server. He was a breath of fresh air; friendly, kind and very attentive! Normally I take pictures of our food, but I was too hungry and just wanted to eat. My husband, Gary ordered Chopped Steak with a baked potato and asparagus. I ordered skewered shrimp on a bed of rice and a side of whole mushrooms. Our food was done to perfection, hot, delicious and mouthwatering! I want to mention the manager, Brian. This man made it obvious that he truly cares about his customers. As I mentioned, we sat at the bar. The overhead lighting was very, very bright and I asked Brian if it was possible to dim the lights. After a little fun banter, he dimmed the lights. I wanted to keep it simple for dinner tonight so I decided to order out at Longhorn. Once I arrived the curbside pickup team was quick enough to bring out my order so I could be on my way. The restaurant was and has been pretty packed since they opened, but thankfully I had no issues getting in and out. I ordered the grilled chicken and strawberry salad which comes with a raspberry vinaigrette. I have to say this is one of the better food items I've had from Longhorn. The chicken was nice and tender, and the various fruits (strawberries, grapes, oranges) paired well with the feta cheese and dressing. If you're a salad person, I'd definitely recommend trying it whenever you're at Longhorn. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant. My group and I were here for a business dinner. The positive, the two waitresses serving us had fantastic customer service. The food and drink on the other hand needs major improvement. My colleague ordered a dirty martini. His martini had way too much olive brine for a dirty martini. He couldn't drink it. For food, we ordered several different appetizers. For example, the onion peddles were way too salty. For my dinner, I had the sirloin cooked medium rare with garlic shrimp on the side along with asparagus and rice pilaf. The steak was cooked perfectly, however it was too difficult to eat. Everything on my plate was way too salty. I do enjoy seasoning, but it was too much. My colleague steak was under cooked and too salty. My suggestion for the cooking staff is to watch the over seasoning. Again the wait staff had great customer service. If the food was better I would give a higher star rating. read more

Great service by Camden, the bar tender, and front desk. Curious that so many guests were waiting for tables even though many tables were actually empty. 15 minute wait was still fine, but the bar tender had his hands full with bar dining and drinking. They should really have moved people to the empty tables and put another bar tender on to cope with the rush. This Longhorn is new to Oviedo and it is what you expect from a chain steak restaurant. The food was consistent to expectations and was generally tasty. We at here for a birthday meal for my son and were seated in a comfortable booth in the restaurant. I had a steak that was cooked as ordered and was good. The challenge with this place was the services - which I will chalk up to it being a newly opened restaurant. The services was friendly, but definitely slow and not very attentive. It was a challenge to get things like refills or even a silverware set.and even when we asked for something to did not come quickly. I'll likely give them another try after a while when they have been around for a bit because the food was good and they are likely to improve in the service. read more

But the food was cooked exactly the way we ordered. Our server, Annie, was so bubbly and friendly which make the evening much more enjoyable. She was terrific. She was excited that she got to make the drinks and she did a good job. She was over the top wonderful! I could go there again. We had been so excited to have a longhorn closer to home, and it is mostly just OK (hoping to revise this review in the future). We have been here a few times since they opened and there is definitely still room for improvement. I will say the customer service has been great! The steaks my husband and I have ordered have been cooked perfectly, but there have been some hiccups for some reason with salads?? The first time there they forgot to bring our salads out at all, and had remedied it by not upcharging on my side strawberry salad... it was still super new so I didn't think too much about it. One of the last trips there however, they were out of Caesar salad entirely, which was odd. And a few times it's taken a while to even get our food. Service was painfully slow, including drinks from the bar. This is the second time attending this location and nothing has changed in regards to speed. Food did come out hot and fresh, just expect to wait over 50 minutes for it. Came back again tonight, against my better judgement. Waited over an hour in total for a to go kid's mac n cheese, French onion soup, and a side salad. Called twice but was told kitchen was backed up etc, so finally went in around the hour wait mark. Let them know I would like a refund if the food isn't ready. The poor kid had to go get the manager then came back and said they won't need to issue a refund and the hold will be lifted from my card. I was astonished the manager didn't want to come see me, but made the poor curbside guy tell me this. Beyond frustrating and have learned my lesson. This place is hit or miss. The salad that comes with dinner is always bad. I've had ice in it or just wilted lettuce. Do not expect crisp. The steak can be over seasoned sometimes. New location... ate at the bar because it was a busy night. Service was not good at all. Another couple sat down next to us and we as waited on immediately...and they ordered water! We ordered drinks finally when the waitress came over. Same waitress went back to the other couple and got their meal orders and brought them the customary bread...still no service for us. When they received their food...I asked if she had time to take our order. Waitress apologized but service still sucked. Had to ask for another beer...the empty glass didn't clue her in. And we didn't get offered bread at all. We typically love longhorns and we will have to think twice before we return to this location. There was an additional employee behind the bar, with a certified trainer shirt on that was preoccupied the entire time on ensuring that she was separating the tip money from the cash register. This location just opened, so there was still corporate trainers helping out. We were seated right away and the service was great. Our table had sirloin, Parmesan chicken, and baked potatoes. The salads brought out first were very big for a side salad. My only slight criticism is that the meats were very heavily seasoned; some might say it was too salty. This was my 3rd time visiting the new Longhorns in Oviedo since they opened at the beginning of the month. Thursday evening at 5:30 and not too busy. We were seated right away. Ordered their yummy Wild West shrimp and drinks for the table. Within 10 minutes all the non alcoholic beverages came out along with the shrimp and bread. Our waitress went to check on the other 3 drinks which she said someone was bringing. They brought the jack and coke but not the 2 draft beers and said they were being repoured. (Delivered to another table) We finished the shrimp and two loafs of bread and still no beer. Another 7 mins went by. It took 20 minutes to get 2 draft beers! No explanation, no apologies, no discounts. They have 3 or 4 different people run food and drinks so you can't ask anyone. Surprised but let it go. Dinner was good. Got the bill and when paying asked our waitress if the kids drink was included because we were charged for an adult soda. No issue and she said she'd take it off. THEN the manager came to our table and tells me that they have to charge for a drink if the person ordering the kids meal is over the age of 12. My daughter does look a little older but she just turned 11 and is still in elementary school. Who does that? Overall horrible customer service. It seemed like the staff was more concerned about following some back of house crazy procedures then actually keeping and pleasing local customers that visit frequently. I'm very disappointed and will keep going to Outback or Marlow's where they treat their customers well. read more

I have been there twice. Once a two in the afternoon, the other time at 6 pm. On both occasions, I felt the server rushed us. Once serving the appetizer before our drinks have been brought to us. The second time I wouldn't order the appetizer when the server kept asking I would point out that my drink hadn't been brought to me yet. On the afternoon visit the food was at least warm when it was brought to the table, even if it was brought sooner than requested. The evening visit brought cold, legitimately cold, food. To the point that we did talk to the manager about it. We were given the excuses of how busy it was and "can I offer you a dessert to make up for it?" And the final example of being rushed, after the check was brought, I was pulling out money for the tip. We sat the bill and the money far away from the edge of the table while I looked for more money for the tip the server came and reached clear to the inside of the table to grab it saying I'll take care of this and be right back. Needless to say the server got no additional tip. Ultimately, I would say the food is mediocre. And it is hit or miss whether you're gonna get hot food or not. Service is extremely rushed. Which if you're in a hurry, that's a good thing. If you wanted to socialize with a friend, you haven't seen in a while not so much. read more

Excited to share that the experience we had at this restaurant was the best in a long time. It started with the waitress - Annie. What a superstar she is. If you're lucky to get Annie, she is going to make your family's day! My 12 year-old son said to her she was the best he's ever had . The lunch menu offers great value, and it applies to Saturdays as well. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The room was clean, and so were our table, utensils, fabric napkins. If you eat out often, you know why I'm reporting this. Lastly, I was trying to understand why a place with such mixed reviews offered such a great overall experience. Maybe it's because this place has been packed since it opened its doors a few weeks ago, with a completely new staff? Not sure. I drive by it every day, and it just stood out to me.
