Service was good but food was just okay. We had the beef nachos and chicken avocado sandwich. Nothing special and nachos were cold.

My family came here after our trip to Mt. Rushmore and we were very happy with the service and food. The food was fast and good and our waitress did a great job with keeping our drinks full and asking us how we were and if we needed anything. Compared to other Chilis we've been to this one was top notch. Also I enjoyed the table tablets that were at each table where you could pay for your bill and do other things online. read more

i think we all know that chili's is the applebee's of tex-mex, so let's just get that out of the way before we think this is someplace out of this world. i mean the food's okay-ish, and the people working there are fine, but there's just something a little bland and soulless about the whole experience. a few things struck me when i was there last time: why bother to call it "happy hour" if it is all day, every day? doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the happy hour concept? yay, buy one get one free drinks...oh but wait the beers are 8 ounces and served in these cute little mugs, so you might as well have gone for a regular pint. for the same price. and the selection leaves much to be desired, but whatever. i lived through it. one thing i found interesting was that they have these touchscreen interactive devices on the tables. i love it when technology integrates into the real world, so this pleased me. you could look through the menu and specials, and even pay for the check right there at the table--it's got a card swiper and receipt printer (you can email the receipt if you want to go paperless). swell...only...maybe one should consider that the touchscreens are grosser than the menus. i mean of course kids are gonna monkey with these things while doublefisting cheesesticks and mashed potatoes or whatever. i've figured out that if you want decent food, go there when it's not particularly busy so you can have special requests. for instance, i had chicken fajitas, but i asked for cajun spices and jalapenos added. it really made the dish fantastic, but that's how i live with the prevalent blandification of restauants due to midwest tastes (or lack thereof). they do have wifi; that's a plus. read more

For not being busy at all the food was very slow to come out. The cheese burgers were overdone. Only got 5 onion rings. The server was great. Kept the chips and salsa and drinks always full. She gets 5 stars. Everything else is questionable. read more

This place is better than many of the non-chain restaurants in the area. It was actually one of the better dinners I had while staying in Rapid City for the week, which is kind of sad, really, Generous portions, friendly and attentive service, good food. Absolutely the worst! I don't give a bad rating very often. I know how hard people work and how a half hazard review can effect the place and people. First let me say our food was phenomenal!! Every bite was scrumptious! The only reason our rating is 2 stars is because the service was the worst. We order a triple appetizer we got fried pickles, egg rolls, and onion blossom petals. When our food came out there was only the fried pickles and the onion petals. We thought maybe the egg rolls took a little long or they were on the way right behind the ones we just got. We waited and got nothing so when the waitress walked by we let her know that we never received the egg rolls, she says no problem she will go check. When she comes back with our egg rolls she says that her cooks swears they were on our plate and that basically we are liars. By the time it was all over with we had been called a liar a few time. I told her she could take the egg rolls back to the kitchen that I would not be accused of lying and trying to get free food. We finally asked for the manager and spoke to him about the situation, he was floored that this was even said to us and he was very professional and handled the situation in a great manner. And for that we are appreciative! Just wished our dining experience matched the amazing food! read more

During the day, the service is alright. But the last few times I have gone out for dinner here, the service is slow and SUCKS. From taking 15 minutes for someone to come up and seat us, to the waitress coming to the table once to refill 30 minutes into dinner, and not coming back until the check is ready. And finally just leaving after no one came to our table for 20 minutes after ordering two sodas (sodas never came) Horribly slow service. read more

Pros: I really enjoyed my "Big Mouth" Burger, It was cooked just as I ordered, and it might have been the best burger I've ever had. Also they didn't forget to give me my side of broccoli. Jared was our waiter, he was the best waiter anyone could ask for, he took about 3 minutes to get to our table allowing us to check out the menu's and stir amongst ourselves. When he got to our table he apologized for the 3 minute wait. Amazing! He was prompt and got our drinks right away, and the best part is we didn't have to ask anyone for refills for the rest of the meal, he came back with more as soon as the empty glass hit the table. Good atmosphere. Cons: None, this is a one of a kind restaraunt and the management should be pleased with it's employees. Other thoughts: The greeter girl didn't let us know that we could sit at the bar, that wasn't in her list of options. But we asked and got a seat within 2 minutes. Thanks again Jared! read more

Our group of 7 was looking forward to eating here since we don't have one where we r from needless to say we were not disappointed. We had several mixed drinks a couple bloody Mary's & margaritas they were very good great flavor I ordered the Margarita Flat bread it was fresh full of flavor cooked properly with a little crunch on the outer edge my kids had the cheeseburger bites with corn comes on a nice flavored bun and meat was juicy & my boys loved them our waitress was super friendly, fast, & attentive. When our waitress found out my son's favorite food was chilli & that he was disappointed that chili's restraunts didn't only serve chilli she brought him out a small bowl on the house he was so happy great customer service. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would this was the worst experience I had n rapid city sd where do I start I I came during lunch so all of my food should of been fresh I ordered the lunch combo I had the bowl of potatoe soup it was Luke warm one thing I hate is Luke warm soup than I had the fajitas. I ordered pork and got chicken. They charged me $1 for a small spoonful of guacamole. My tortillas were stale. Rice and beans were cold. My wife's burger was dripping with grease and mustard and her fries were yet again cold. I'm not a hard person to please I just fresh decent tasting food. read more

we wanted a predictably decent meal for dinner while visiting rapid city. hubby ordered a half rack of ribs with original sauce. excellent. i ordered the santa fe chicken salad - also very good - i didn't realize the chicken would be seasoned with such heavy chili powder. for me, it took away from the good taste of chicken - it was a bit overpowering, quite a bit. analisa was terrific in refilling my soda - always a good sign of a very good server. read more

The food here is good. It's always served hot off the stove o grill and not like its been sitting under heat lamps. The cook as you order so the food isn't over cooked or under cooked. Went here on a slow weekday night. There was less than 10 customers inside. Food was very good. Prices are very reasonable. Especially for a party of 2. Meals arrived to our table very quickly since it was so slow. Cool kiosk on every table to view menu, order and pay. Very convenient. Service could have been better though. Ordered to-go. Got there, they couldn't find my order. I had to resubmit it and wait a very, very long time which I can't figure out because the restaurant was empty. What I got was a teeny tiny order of nachos that were over $10. I counted the chips and there were 16. Also there were large black ants crawling all over the restaurant. read more

I just got back from one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I saw the server a total of 3 times the whole visit, and the server didn't order the food I requested. I couldn't get the order adjusted due to the absence of my server and I didn't even get my discount because the server was no where to be seen. We normally enjoy Chili's from time to time, but we will never go again to the one in Rapid City. My wife went for lunch with our son and was seated at a table, despite asking for a booth and having plenty of booths available. The table was filthy with gooey enchilada sauce on it. They requested another table which was also filthy with chocolate sauce smeared into the grout along the tiles. Before they sat down at the second table and even had a chance to look at the menus, the waitress asked if she could bring them some chips and salsa. Thinking they were complimentary, they agreed. Turns out they cost $3.50. With her lunch, my wife ordered the "green chili soup" and was brought the regular chili. When she complained, the waitress said, "you said you wanted chili." When she saw the bill with the extra charge for the chips and salsa, she went to the manager who told her they were not complimentary. When my wife explained that she thought the waitress's offer was misleading, the manager said that if she had already paid the bill (which she had) there was nothing that could be done.
