You know when you wait so long to eat and you're just not hungry anymore? That is what happened here. We rarely go to restaurants like Chili's anymore because there is such amazing food in California. However, we were close by and the kids were hungry so we thought we'd give it a try. We were seated after a 30 minute wait and then, I guess because of a wait staff shortage, we went through three waitresses before our food arrived about an hour after ordering. By then, us adults were tired and not all that hungry. The boys loved their crispers and fries. They both even ate the broccoli from our entrees. I will say, the Mexican street corn on the cob should be left to Mexican restaurants who use fresh corn and know how to cook it. If I had never had authentic Mexican street corn before, this experience would stop me from trying it in the future. The four stars is because 1) the staff was friendly and communicative 2) the food was what you would expect from Chili's (sans the street corn) 3) it was clean 4) it's a Chili's not a fancy restaurant BUT 1) the wait was too long 2) the final waitress came as we were paying the bill on the tabletop device and reminded us to give a good review for her. If I hadn't already filled out the survey, I would have given negative feedback in the moment because that's just not appropriate- earn your survey answers- don't ask for them. This review is for the entire experience overall, so it's still four stars. 1st and last time doing a curbside order on the app to get rewards. Placed the order from home, start driving, leave the app alone on the screen to click check in when you park. Upon arrival open my one generation old iPhone to find the app crashed and now I can't check in. It's not an old phone, so it's gotta be an app issue. So Now I gotta go inside and let them know I'm here or sit and wait hoping they are not busy to come out and ask me what's up. Still gotta drive home. Don't want cold food. So much for curb side. So I go inside and get the food. When I get home, I find a French fry inside the ranch. Reading the other review I felt it is important to mention, OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AS WELL! Also found some other chucks of some sort floating in there as well unsure what they are. Inedible now. Sour cream was not cold but the Pico was. Inedible as well. It's almost as if they don't work with food regularly or are educated that when dairy goes warm for too long it quickly develops bacteria. The chicken enchiladas soup was disgusting gross. Taste like a bunch of processed cheese and tortillas with a few chicken chunks in there. Inedible. Pasta was dry with not enough sauce at all. Bread with pasta was soggy and inedible, like chewing on an old kitchen sponge. I ate what we could as I don't like to waste money but obviously most of it was just not worthy. 1/2 way through the night I wake up feeling bloated and sweaty reminding me of the nights of heavy drinking, but guess what... I don't drink anymore. The Next day got body chills, body aches, no fever and tested for covid negative. Couldn't eat anything for days after. Developed a rash spots all over my body. Days later still feeling ill, body taxed like I was hung over, drained with no energy like a high school kid with mono. I finally I couldn't take it anymore, it wasn't going away so I went to the doctors to find out I had gastroenteritis which is caused by norovirus and food poisoning. Anyone familiar with norovirus? Not washing hands after going bathroom. Completely disgusting. My neighbor works a parcel delivery job, told me after delivering there (through the back door, straight into the kitchen) he will also never eat there. Wish he would have told me this before I made this mistake. Will never eat this disgusting place again for health and safety reasons. What I did eat which was 1/2 of a chicken crisper and small amount of overcooked fries made me sick after with nausea in the afternoon. If I could give this review a zero star I would most certainly do that; however, since it's not possible I gave it one star. Where to begin well lets start at the beginning of the visit. My wife and I walked into this establishment and the hostess was friendly and greeted us with a smile then sat us pretty quickly after we walked in. It was about 11:30 in the morning so the restaurant was not very busy so naturally we assume that it will be wonderful service. We got seated in our booth and told our wait staff would be right with us. It took about five to ten minutes to arrive at our table just to take our drink orders. While waiting for our beverages we decided what we wanted and so we ordered. At this point we never saw our wait staff member again until the check was given. They never checked in on us to see how our food was, was never offered refills on our beverages. As customers we felt that the person waiting our table didn't care about us as customers. We got our soup, which was not hot at all and the same with our triple dipper that we ordered. I would have sent the items back but that's hard when nobody comes to check in with you. Honestly, with ambiance that isn't very busy and most of the dinning room open for diners we expected a higher quality of service than we had received. We have been to this exact location numerous times and every time before that was awesome. We were extremely disappointed in this visit. I literally didn't leave a tip this time because of how bad our service was and I have never in my life not left a tip. For the amount we spent on our meal, I would love to be refunded for our entire meal. Hopefully, the next time will be a much more pleasant experience. read more

I don't understand the poor reviews of this restaurant! We went for the first time today (we live pretty far away) to try the 3 for me deal, and found it clean and well-run, and thought the food was great! Especially the chicken enchilada soup with tortilla strips. Also, want to give a shout out to our server, Iris, who recommended the soup to me. I love Chili's! I love it even more now that they have an outdoor seating area at this location. Typically, during the COVID fiasco, we've been ordering Chili's to go. Since we were in Rohnert Park already, we noticed the seating area, and decided to stop by. The food just hits differently when it's served to you fresh on a plate, instead of soggy food in a to go container (with a hot side of ranch ). We started with one of our must haves, Texas cheese fries. They came out hot, crispy, and delicious. My wife ordered a smokehouse burger, and I had a bacon ranch quesadilla. We finished with a mini molten lava cake. In case you didn't know, Chili's offers a mini version of the lava cake for when you are too stuffed to order the regular sized portion. This review comes reluctantly. I have to start with my husband and I REGULARLY eat at Chili's. I will now always avoid Rohnert Park. Let's start with Kenyon, he was serving in the bar and tending for the entire restaurant which was a lot. We gave him A LOT of slack. Asking for a water over 6 times is really just silly. Our experience with him was subpar. It wasn't until we were paying our bill that he rubbed the table of 6 completely wrong. We were paying with the terminal at the table, he decided to come up grab it, and proceed to try and process our transaction. Kinda strange when the sole purpose of those terminals are for the end users to process their card. As he grabs it he informed us that he would prefer a cash tip. What? Wow! Very forward and rude. We moved on from that and reluctantly handed our card over to him to process the transaction. He then asks the table how much we wanted to tip so he could enter it. My Husband asked for it back and he would enter it. Kenyon handed it over, once my husband handed it to me he walked all the way around the table to stand right behind me and watch what I was doing. I felt very uncomfortable not only because he was way too close but I felt obligated to give a tip he didn't deserve. Once the transaction went through he immediately grabbed the terminal and walked away. As Kenyon walked away I witnessed him taking the customer service survey for us! Gave himself a a great review and went on his way. As we were a large group we still had some drinks to finish up, as we were sitting there I watched him repeat this same scenario, once again giving himself a great review. Fast forward to after we left the restaurant, we stood in the parking lot chatting for a little while. Before we were about to take off one of their cooks came stumbling out of the front door to his car. He nearly fell over multiple times as he made his way to his car. As we reached his car he threw the drink he was carrying with him at his car. Once we realized this clearly impaired man was going to get in his car and drive I walked inside asking for a manager. The manager rushed out after he and Kenyon insisted he wasn't drunk he was dehydrated. I said either way he shouldn't be driving if he can't walk. Manager took the impaired man inside for awhile no more than 5-10 minutes then allowed him to walk out the side door. Once he got back to his car he started to empty all the tall cans he could find throwing them under his car and in the bushes after he emptied over 4 tall cans he drove away. Our waitress (didn't catch her name but our receipt said our server was MadDog) did everything absolutely perfect. My sirloin came out just they way I requested it and she remembered what each of us was drinking. Hadn't been in a while, so we decided to go and sample some new menu items. It was 3 for 10.99, which was a beverage, appetizer, and entree. So our waiter explained the options and we ordered. The food was below the standard we've had from Chilis in the past, but we got thru it - except that my wife's Pina colada didn't taste quite right and discovered that the ice had a funny flavor - much like they cleaned their ice machine but forgot to throw out the first batch of ice after using sanitizing chemicals. The waiter agreed after smelling her drink and offered another drink - a soda without ice, but her glass smelled of the same chemical and was undrinkable. We finally decide to leave when we noticed the little gaming module they usually have on the tables that you also use to pay, was not on ours, nor had it been thru our entire meal. We inquired as to how to pay to our waiter to which he then grab a module and placed it on our table. We paid, printed our receipt and left. On the drive home we noticed my meal (the "3 for" promotion) was over charged and a fee for the "Table Enertainment Unit" of $2.99 (which wasn't on our table for the whole meal, except when we went to pay). We called the restaurant next day to question these $30 in over charges. Spoke to the manager who apologized and took our info off of our receipt and said he'd investigate and call us back. After waiting 4 days for a return call, we called him again, he apologized again and said he'd check it out and call us back. After another 2 days, he finally called and refunded us the "Entertainment" fee and the over charge on my meal. Not a very pleasant experience and we shall avoid RP Chili's from now on. read more

I came to this Chili's location with my parents for dinner because it's the closest Chili's to Santa Rosa and really the only one in the area. Parking was easy and it's located right by the freeway so it's easy to get on and off. We arrived early for dinner so there was no wait for a table. The bar was packed though! Service was OK. Our server said she was new after she forgot to bring a portion of my meal to the table until I reminded her. She was also slow in helping us checkout. A large portion of the restaurant was empty, and messy; we had to step over spilled food while trying to walk out and the tables looked like they hadn't been bussed all afternoon. I had my usual, the Unlimited Soup and Salad Combo which comes with a bowl of their Cheesy Potato Soup, House Salad and Chips and Salsa. Everything was prepared how it usually is, but a lot of the tortilla chips were undercooked and inedible. My Mom had the ribs which she said were OK, and my Dad had a burger which he only said was OK as well. This location has been here forever! We have tried and tried over again to come back to Chilis since the lifting of the Covid 19 restrictions, but to no avail. Saturday the 14h was a terrible experience; the only reason we give it 2 stars is for the food. 1). My wife and I arrived at 3:00p, only to be told there would be a 15min wait. Huh??? This is Saturday afternoon at 3:00, I could understand the wait if it was Sunday afternoon or Friday night. 2). After being seated, we ordered appetizer and drinks; DrPepper, and a Shirley temple. Both drinks came, 1st sip in for the both of us and it seemed as if the lines hadn't been cleaned since the beginning of the pandemic. Sent the drinks back, ended up with water. 3). Appetizer came no problem, but with no plates to put the appetizer on!!!!! What's up with that. Our server, very apologetic retrieved our plates as well as the aforementioned drinks. 4). Fajitas came, enough for my wife and I to share. Good food, steak, shrimp and chicken were all on point, but the meal only started with 3 tortillas. Mind you, our server brought more when asked. Just a side----- No plates!!!! for the dinner entree. The server was attentive and apologetic, unfortunately the whole experience was very disappointing.
