I've been to this location multiple times over the last year for takeout only, and their 3 for $10 has been pretty satisfying! You're able to choose a drink, appetizer, and entree for $10 (a few extra dollars more if you get a deluxe entree). Now this can be a LOT of food, so definitely be prepared. Their chips and salsa are the best, and can count toward your appetizer. As for their entrees, I usually get the burger or chicken crispers. It's all pretty tasty, but is definitely on the higher-calorie side! Sometimes their burger and fries have been soggy due to what I assume is the steaming in the to-go box on the ride home. For the price of the deal and quality of the food itself, I would only get the 3 for $10 deal if you're taking food home. Otherwise it's probably better to eat inside to avoid that takeout taste if you want to try something else. Had a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. Burger was perfect and service was good. I had a problem with the curly fries, they were just so so salty. I had to use ketchup, mustard, and ranch to help get that salt taste out. I also notice that the ranch was watery and that is a red flag!!!! Chili's. Pretty much everyone has visited Chili's. I've been stopping in since 1982. Ya, I'm that old. For the most part, the only thing that differs Chili's from location to location is the service. I was visiting Scottsdale and my family and I stopped in one evening for dinner. We were quickly seated by a friendly host. Our waiter tended to our needs in good timing. The place was dead with only a few other tables in use. COVID era dining is odd. I have never seen a Chili's this empty in all my life. The food we ordered was good and served hot and tasted good. The quality was excellent. The one thing I wish to underline is the service. It was amazing. We stoped in the first week of January where COVID still had a strangle on inside dinning. Everyone was struggling to just keep the lights on let alone keeping staff working. There was a limited amount of staff due to the low amount of demand and I'm fairly certain the owner was even bussing tables. Everyone working was extremely friendly and thankful for us coming in. In fact, we returned two evenings later and the gentleman I think was the owner personally thanked us for coming back. Chili's To Go or Chili's To NO? I normally love Chili's. I always want to go there to eat because the 3 for $10 is such a good deal. However, this was my first attempt at ToGo and it sucked. I honestly made a yelp profile just so I could leave a review about it. And I'm not normally a complainer. I'm usually a suck it up kinda guy. But I was pretty upset about this one so I had to do it. The queso skillet I ordered wasn't even half full. If I pay $8 for this I expect to at least be able to fill a shot glass with it. There was barely anything in the cup. I got the chicken enchilada soup and it had so much salt that I could barely even eat any without my stomach starting to hurt. So I had to throw it away. And that's saying something cuz I literally over salt everything I eat. I requested plastic fork and spoon but didn't get anything. I had to drink the soup out of the cup like a barbarian. And I had to eat my pasta with my chips that I got from the queso. If I was taking it to eat at home, it would have been fine. I went on a date with my boyfriend today to this restaurant and the second they put the food order into the system I decided to pay it so that he can get to work and we could leave as soon as we were done. I thought we were having a great experience and we left after I again had paid and even tipped obviously more than I should have, because as I'm sitting in my car some lady comes up to me that doesn't even work there and says that they're accusing me of stealing and dining and dashing. So they clearly were announcing it out loud in front of the customers which is so embarrassing and rude especially because they can look up in their system that I paid I had to come inside and prove that I paid on my Apple Pay to make sure that they wouldn't call the cops or create a scene that was super unnecessary. I will never be going to this location again and also I might add that the manager didn't even apologize for creating a scene and making me feel humiliated instead he said don't worry about it. My sister, her husband and I stopped in today. We were going to have lunch.We stood by the stand and nobody came to seat us and there were no signs so we seated ourselves. I love coming into this spot for a couple of beers often and occasionally dinner with the family. Sunday three of us stopped in there and sat at the bar. I showed the bartender that I had an offer for queso he said no you have to order a meal for that. I said ok. He said do you want chips and salsa so we said yes. The bill comes and he refuses to take my code for the chips and salsa because I didn't order a meal. He went and asked his manager and then ARGUED with me that they have NEVER done that. Chilis has always been a go to restaurant (usually at least every other week) for me either when I would crave their food or just couldn't decide. (Love their chicken enchilada soup). When I first moved to Scottsdale was excited one was somewhat close to where I lived. The first few times in this location where really good service. Then covid hit. With covid we started mostly do curbside to go, which for a while was fine, but then at least one person's order would be wrong or missing an item. So then once the dining rooms opened back up, we decided to go in to get correct orders and relax. Service at times has been lousy or have had severs with off the wall comments. The off the wall comments weren't negative in any way, just odd, which not really a big deal. The biggest surprise one visit is that a row of half booths/have chairs (4 tables) they used the middle two tables for 2 different parties putting people less than 6ft from each other. With a party of 3 (2 of which being higher risk for covid) this was very uncomfortable that 2 strangers were literally eating about a person's space away from us. Lets just say, we havent been back to the restaurant. We did order curbside once since then, but the food quality seems to be on the decline. read more
