    Triple dipper

Food was amazing got a triple dipper and triple nutted in my trousers. Chips and salsa are also the best and service was fast.

Kayla our server was amazing, such a bubbly and kind girl who made sure we were taken of the whole night. The manager Patrick how ever could not be more insufferable. I have dined at chilis multiple times and he has made his presence very evident in the worst way possible. Unless I ask for the manager I dont need someone coming over mansplaining to me why my drink is 99% ice, especially when all the issues he has come to "resolve" have been left with no solution.

The experience was very average, the food came out very slowly. Our soup appetizer took roughly 15 minutes to come out. The service was excellent our waitress asked if we needed things frequently. The environment was pleasant, the manager came around and was asking what he could approve upon. Not a bad place to grab a late night bite with some friends, have a few drinks to escape the crazy kids!!! Just prepare for a little bit of a wait on the main course

***Ordered online for pick up I haven't had chili's in a long time. It took me awhile to even decide what I wanted while browsing their menu. I decided to go with a combo platter since I thought I'm bound to like something off of it lol My bf got pretty much the same order except he ordered brisket. The ribs were, MEH. I wasn't expecting them to be the ribs I would get at an actual bbq place or like in the southern states. Was lacking flavor and was dry. The chicken fingers had more flavor. The only thing I really liked and would order again from here is the Roasted Street Corn. Was sweet, and juicy. The fries taste like cardboard sadly even with all that topping. I appreciate that everything was in the bag and packed nicely. With utensils and all. Everything was hot and ready for pick up. I'm not sure if I'd come back to try anything else. Perhaps from another location. For the amount I paid, I only enjoyed the corn.

We had no issues, they sat us promptly, our server was great & so was the whole staff. The bartender even checked in to see if he made my dirty martini ok. Everything was good. The ribs had really good flavor to them. Will return!!! Glad it's closer now too.

Big Mouth Crispy Chicken Sandwich Just Bacon Burger*

First time coming here and started off with a warm, watered down, weird, artificial tasting lemonade. Loaded bacon potato soup was okay but the bacon bits tasted rubbish. Salad was good despite the small portion size and little amount of croutons. Burger was plain n gross it had no flavor at all, even tried adding salt n pepper and still nothing, only flavored I got was mustard and it was a gross amount of taste. Chicken sandwich was ok but what threw me off is that it had no dimension to it literally look like a sheet of paper. To summarize it, Ig you really do get for what you payed especially coming to a big business they really don't care what they give you. Save your money and go support a small business instead!

I never really had a issue at this place. The chicken ranch is my favorite, with the Texan cheese fries. Nothing can go wrong with that.

So craving their boasted chicken we go and was told at ordering no broasted chicken today Tuesday. The waiter said reason sold out THEY THINK because they sold out Monday. First the waiter did not know why (ok poor communication with the staff as to lack of availability) which to me is unacceptable for a restaurant that is a very enjoyable place to dine. If no chicken then the restaurant should place a sign on the door or let the staff know so we as a patron knows in advance. We were highly disappointed today in that respect. So let's talk goodness. We ordered potato skins they were large and filled with yumminess. I loved them so good. Then a fantastic bake French onion soup cup size. Great taste and cheesy but I really liked the breaded onion strips on top that made that soup over the top. My main dish was a grilled Rubin. Darn good with hot French fries. Like I mention a 4to5 star for food service 5 star but not pre warning costumer of a canceled dish after heavy advertising I have rated a 3. Can't wait to go back and enjoy that boasted chicken just hope it's served when on the menu. The restaurant very clean and I like the quickness of the support staff. The manager helps and goes to tables making sure everything is up to par. Maybe I am too harsh on this review but that shows how disappointed I am I was really looking forward to that delicious broasted chicken. A note to Village Squire I am happy you sold out if that was true great for business BUT the 86 communication maybe can be improved a bit more.

This place is incredible... the food is to die for. It's the first place I've been to and did not feel like bloated or so full to where I was sick because the portions were perfect. Nothing here fell short, in fact it's the first place in the burbs where the food wasn't overly salted or fried in some type of oil. Everything tasted fresh. The flavors were busting up in my mouth every bite I took, even down to snowball fight drink we had. I highly, highly recommend the bread cheese appetizer- this was something super unique to me as I've only had grilled up cheese one other time in Brazil, Queijo Coalho.... There was a beautiful twist on this cheese- crunchy, creamy, sweet, savory and the honey and tabbouleh were such a great finish to this dish. Pair this with the fresh bread and it was chefs kiss! We had the beer braised short rib and seabass- two completely different flavored entres that we absolutely perfect. The short rib you literally can't go wrong with- melted in my mouth with every bite - and hats off the the chef who cooked the onions so perfect to actually be able to taste them instead of just carmelizing or salting them! I would call this your typical Midwest comfort dish. The seabass was much different the salad was tangy with the lentils being rich- add a nice cooked crispy top seabass and you got yourself a unique dish of flavors that will have you thinking what's in it after hours! But the star of the show was dessert of course - OMFG - s'mores ice cream sunday ....... I died and went to heaven literally. I have never tasted ice cream that mimicked everything I've ever wanted my ice cream to taste like. It was the perfect temperature (trust me a lot of restaurants it's either rock hard or melted) this was epic. Creamy, almost pudding like and being able to taste every note was wild to me. The graham cracker - yes the freaking graham cracker was the best one I've ever tasted in my life. Clearly I've never had a graham cracker without preservatives before. The chocolate syrup .... Jeeze let me tell if I could swim in it I would.... The service was friendly, prompt and right on time. The server knew all the cues and timing of all the food to come out. She checked in everytime we got something to make sure everything was just right... you can tell she takes her job seriously but also knows how to interact with people - something a lot of servers lack these days so we really appreciated the service. As for the atmosphere- this place blows a lot of the chi city restaurants out of the water. The organic feel but fancy! Oh, and I can actually talk and hear myself think without blasting music over my head. We will be back ... but honestly please change nothing here- everything you're doing here is fantastic!

We sat at the bar and the one bartender tried his best to keep up with the drink orders for the whole restaurant & the bar patrons drink & food orders. As we approached a wait of 1 hour & 35 minutes, we asked the bartender to have the meals placed in to go boxes. 10 more minutes go by without our meals and we asked to speak to a member of management. What was concerning was the restaurant manager on duty only came out when we requested to speak with a manager. In a calm tone, asked the manager on duty if a 1 hr 45 minute wait for our meals was reasonable. He tried to tell us that they were very busy and the kitchen was behind. Agreed. When asked if we should pay for a meal that was severely delayed he agreed the wait was excessive and he would cover the cost of the meal. I appreciate this reaction from the manager on duty. Unfortunately, when we took our meals to go, we didn't have a good experience with the meals. Received one chicken breast grilled and one breaded for the Portofino Pollo dish. Looked like they grabbed what was up at the time in the kitchen and placed it in the to go containers. Flavors were bland, likely a result of being rushed after a 1 hr 45 min wait. This might be coincidental but being short staffed at the Compton Hills location when they are opening a new location in Geneva is probably what led to the severe delays from the kitchen in servicing meals. Hope the opening of the Geneva location doesn't adversely impact the Campton Hills location beyond our dining visit experience. I gave a rating of 2 as the Manager on Duty did agree to cover the meal cost. The bartender tried to keep us from leaving by offering us a drink on the house to stay after we asked for the meals to be placed in to go boxes to take home at that point versus staying and dining. Proactive customer support would've helped versus a reactive attempt of customer support. Didn't penalize the bartender and provided a cash tip since the kitchen's delay was not his fault. Let's hope Portofino Trattoria does better in the future.
