I give this Chili's a five star because the person that assisted my Aunt Marva and self was so patient with us as we fumbled and navigated our way through the menu. It was almost like a comedy skit. Kevin made it so uncomplicated and less intimidating. Kevin had very good suggestions as to the combinations of our menu order. He's a genuine people person; sure made our stay very comfortable. The food was delicious, the natural flavored fruit tea's were awesome. The price was right. Lastly, Thank You, Kevin for making my Aunt's and myself day a pleasant after Church day. I really only pushed it to 3 stars for timeliness & customer service of the staff working pick up orders. I ordered a few nights ago & the female server was prompt & courteous delivering an accurate order. I opted for the pick 3; my disappointments were the mashed potatoes, even fully loaded something wasn't right about them. They had an odd taste I couldn't figure out. The sweet tea was lacking (barely sweet) & I had no straw for my to go cup (minor but problematic when thirsty & driving 25 mins). The steak (nicely seasoned) & broccoli were both cooked well. I've been to this location many times over the last 20+ years I've lived here. Just some useful feedback for the future. I'd return, maybe swap out the potatoes or say leave them plain . The man on the door addresses me by name, and the waitstaff are excellent, even "tweaking" how my order is billed so I get the best price possible. We ate at the Virginia beach Blvd Chilis. I ordered the Southwestern chicken soup...there was no chicken in it. Actually it tasted like they had just strained the juice from a bowl of chili and threw some greens on top...Ugh. First of all, the food is great here...a nice variety of Tex-Mex and other items, something for everyone, great menu. A few months ago the tile topped tables were "nasty" looking, and you could actually scrape thing from the grout. BUT, they have redone the tables and they are very nice now, clean looking and more able to be wiped off and kept clean and germ free. HOWEVER, when they did the make over, they must have run out of cash to re-do or at least upgrade their rest rooms. In the ladies room, it looks like they removed totally something from the side wall by the sink...(so there is open space where something was taken off). NOW you have to literally reach UP and AROUND the paper towel dispenser to get a towel to dry your hands. Heaven forbid short people and kids from having to reach paper towels...they will need a step ladder. Good on the good Chili's manager....But someone needs to make your rest rooms match your other amenities. My Wife and I often frequent this place, very good staff usually, one guy always seems grumpy, but he's good! I give it a 4 because I usually get the same thing (BBQ Burger topped with avocado's, and they either forget the avocados all together or are VERY skimpy with it. Frankly, we had a very bad experience at this chilies. Typically, I am open minded about my overall restaurant experience; however, the service was insulting. Slow , bad attitude and poor awareness just begin to describe our experience. The food, that took an hour to get to us, was cold and horrible. Usually not a bad chili's but tonight was definitely the worst experience I have ever encountered. I got a ribeye, medium rare & broccoli with Queso cheese on the side. I got the ribeye and it was almost cooked well, so I asked to get it remade, told them everything else was fine and wonderful and apologized 5 different times for being "that person" to make them remake it especially being an hour/ hour an half before they closed. She kept telling me she was getting the best cook for it, and I told her it wasn't necessary but I greatly appreciated it. So when the food came back out, the gave me new broccoli and of course new ribeye but both items were completely well done that time, so well done that the broccoli looked fake and it took a good minute to even cut open to ribeye, and didn't give me the cheese for the broccoli either. The family and I strolled in to use a giftcard from the holidays and this place was pretty busy. I ordered the triple dipper which allows you to pick 3 of the appetizers, I love a variety of different foods so this was the way to go. I decided to get it as my meal. Boneless buffalo wings were pretty darn tasty, my son kept taking them from me! Southwestern eggrolls were pretty good as well with all the dipping sauces. Beef sliders were also delicious. My son loved his pizza and after giving him some of my ranch he pretty much killed it. Texas fries were tad bit cold, I did mention to the lady that I wanted it to all come out together but it was cool. Molten chocolate lava cake definitely satisfied my sweet tooth but as with other restaurants such as this. It's a microwaved piece of cake with ice cream on top, nothing too special but it was good. This last time I came with my mom it took a little bit for the server to come to the table but he was pretty busy. I just want to say Garrett was an amazing server and made our experience at chilis 100x better then it normally is. I ordered curbside on Friday December 4, 2020. Said that the order would be ready for pickup in about 36 minutes from when we ordered. We sat in the parking lot for a half an hour after our scheduled pickup only to get cold food. Cold burgers cold fries and cold onion rings. One of my favorite places to eat seems they were shorthanded today. With seated right away it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come around and take our drink order. By this time we already decided on our entrées so we just placed the whole order one time. I ordered the old-timer cheeseburger with onion rings vice french fries. When my order arrived I did not have the onion rings I ordered, they substituted some sort of fried onions. I made note of it to the waitress she went back to the back to inquire about the mistake. She came back out and told me sorry we're out of onion rings. Kind of disappointing but we finished our meal she did adjust the ticket so I was not charged for what they brought me. I eat a lot of Chili's, but today just now was my first time at this location. I don't know if the cook was just on point of the server in a particularly good mood, but this was unlike any Chili's experience I've ever had. The salsa had a kick that I've never gotten from Chili's salsa before. The Cajun chicken pasta was absolutely perfect, the chicken and noodles flavorful, the garlic bread soft and just perfect. She dropped blueberries on the floor, picked them up and proceeds to make the drink substituting blueberries with a pineapple garnish when the drink clearly states it will be in the drink. She didnt even bring it up and my friend had to ask. By the way she never wash her hands. Then she made me a drink with garnish and use the same contaminated hands. While having a conversation with other people at the bar she was combing through her hair with fingers and then proceeded with making another drink. I like to eat outside at restaurants that offer that, seasonally. About 4 years ago my husband and I ate on the patio at Chili's on Virginia Beach Blvd in VB. The flies were rampant!! So much so, we finally had to ask to get moved inside, where,of course, it was freezing. Vowed to not go back again. We have eaten at many restaurants with patios and have NEVER experienced such a fly infestation! Fast forward to Saturday ( 2 days ago). Went out with friends and they wanted to go to Chili's. Not wanting to be a Killjoy, I went. Also, thinking, in 4 years time surely they would have corrected the problem, but NO! We sat on the Patio and as soon as the food came we were bombarded with flies! We sat there constantly swatting flies, as did the other couple of tables with patrons. It's inexcusable, and this time, be sure I WILL NOT be going back, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone else looking to enjoy a meal in the open air! MAYBE YOUR COMPANY CAN CALL OTHER RESTAURANTS WITH PATIOS and ask what they treat their outside area with. Too bad, because the food would have been enjoyable otherwise. I can't remember the last time I ate at chili's and this may have been my last. The service from our waiter was the worst i have ever gotten at a restaurant. For starters my wife and son both ordered the 3 course meal for $10. My wife's salad was brought out promptly, but I seriously doubt our waitress would have ever brought my sons nachos out if we didnt say something. On top of that the cucumbers in my wife's salad were frozen. We all ordered water and my wife also ordered a strawberry lemonade which we were charged for nut out waitress never brought it out. The food was tasty but the lack of service overshadowed the good food. I had a chicken smothered burrito and asked the waitress for a side of sour cream which i never recieved. Luckily my wife didnt eat her sour cream that came with her fajitas so I didn't go without. Our server never checked on us to see if we needed anything and it was an overall annoying experience. I dont know our waitresses name but she had red hair and I hope management will use this as a training oppurtunity for her. Overall I feel she earned the tip she got which was $0.00. We walked in and it was not busy on a Sunday night. Stood waiting for someone to acknowledge us for about two minutes. We were starved so two minutes seemed like forever. The menu was okay, meaning the selection was adequate and about what I expected. I ordered the pulled pork with spicy slaw. The meat was very tender, the sauce excellent and the slaw was very spicy. If you don't like spicy foods don't order it. I however do like spicy foods so I thought if I go back I would consider ordering it again. My partner ordered the chili and a salad which was excellent as well. The service was slow. I mean slow. We did not get as many water refills as we would have liked but she was friendly.
