Went here for dinner on a Thursday around 8:30 pm, it was surprisingly kind of empty inside which was different because it's usually pretty full/packed whenever I go. Our waitress was very friendly! I decided to order from the 3 for me menu: I had the White skillet queso (9/10) it was good and the Cajun shrimp pasta (7/10) I felt like it could've used more sauce and a little more seasoning, but it was still decent. Dinner was just "okay" this time. My overall rate of experience : 8/10

Seating at the bar. I'm not a big Chili's guy but came here for a team meeting. I guess it's a go to for the people that live in this area. We sat at the bar (all 8 of us) and carried a tab. The bartenders were quick with the drinks and refills. The food was ok. I got the bone in wings. Nothing special but I needed some food, since the drinks were flowing. Overall four stars. Service was great at the bar. Food was....well service was great at the bar ;p

Visiting Virginia Beach for the day and got so hungry. We sat at the bar and both the service and food were great.

We went to Chili's because we had to try the famous triple dipper! Overall, it was good and gave me what I expected. My favorite was the Nashville style spicy mozzarella sticks. The spicy flavor tasted really good with the cheese. The sliders were okay just regular sliders. The chicken tenders were a little dry on the inside. Overall, the ambiance is a typical Chili's with families everywhere. The service was fine. Nothing particular special. The best thing on the menu is the lava cake, that thing is truly to die for. But otherwise, I'm not largely impressed. Good for a quick bite if you want a nostalgic feeling for cheaper food.

Is Chilis a 5 star restaurant? Absolutely not, but we had a great experience on Tuesday night. We came for a late night dinner, around 9pm, and were seated in a section with a fantastic server. I'm sad to say that we missed her name, but if the restaurant knows the server who was working latest on the dining room side -- it was probably her and she deserves kudos! My husband got the specialty margarita and loved it. We ordered a side salad and two of the Triple Dippers. Everything was surprisingly delicious! Came out fast, fresh, hot and really flavorful. They have a knack for delicious sauces! Some of our favorites: the mozz sticks, the honey crispers, the big mouth bites and the egg rolls. We definitely need to think about this location more when planning a convenient date night.

Went in for a date night recently and had a great time. My margarita was delicious and the triple dipper did not disappoint. Service was great and quick. I'd happily go back again.

Mozz sticks fried cheese delights were FABU!!!! So good. So cheesy. So much for one stick. More like a push pop maybe. I also loved our server Cole!!! Such a pleasant guy! So kind and attentive and very patient with us amidst our indecision. Waiting for entrees to come... but have high hopes! ** UPDATE: entrees all great overall just DO NOT ORDER THE BROCCOLI. CANT button my pants. Everything was so good. Don't wear two pants when you come here even when it's cold.

I came in for dinner with a couple of friends. There was about a 15 minute wait for the 3 of us to be seated. Once our turn was up we were seated immediately by the bar. The restaurant was packed! I ordered the triple dipper as an appetizer. The chicken crispers were pretty good. I chose the honey-chipotle flavor and it was more honey than chipotle lol. The southwest egg rolls and fried mozzarella were good. For my entree I chose the shrimp fajitas. The food was left on the skillet for too long and some of it ended up burning. I could still eat some of it but there were definitely some components that were burnt (rice, veggies). For dessert I got the lava cake which was delicious! I really enjoyed it and it was a great way to end the night. Overall not too bad for my first trip to a Chili's.

What a great experience. As Pam would say...I felt god in this chilli's today. The food was fast, fresh, and delivered by friendly staff. I had the Christmas margarita, and it was a really yummy strawberry and lime mix. It had a nice little sour sweet vibe to it and got me lit quick! lol. It was Christmas Eve, and despite being super busy our server was so attentive, and it was a really enjoyable visit. Normally people like to leave bad reviews for chain restaurants, but I'm here to truly leave a good review. It was a great Christmas Eve meal, and amazing for the price point. Got my triple dipper with mozzarella, chicken crispers, and the big mouth bites. It all came out so hot and fresh, I even got the perfect cheese pull as you can see from the video I posted. Keep up the good work, chilli's. Was having an off day to start and you know what? Chillis save me, and Chilli's will save you!!!!

After we walked in everything went smoothly. We were directly led to a table. In the foyer we walked past many of staff waiting for something to do. The margs were strong and the coke was crispy. The dip trio was hot and the chips were fresh. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the fries were heavily salted. We had a good experience for 2. Lots of staff members working on a Friday night. The music was as it always is 80s hits :) We love the vibes. This Chili's is always consistent!

Before entering I noticed a Sign on the door warning about the delay due to short staffing in the kitchen. I appreciated the transparency and with no timing restrictions decided to proceed. The menu has a good variety of food and beverage options. They even have mocktails and can make any mimosa (flavor) non-alcoholic. For breakfast I opted for coffee (free refills), and the Chicken and Waffles, specifically the Life's a Peach option. Coffee was good, not too strong, not too weak! The meal was also good, think peach cobbler, with chicken. The waffle was thick and soft. The chicken was lightly seasoned and crispy. The peaches were on top of the chicken, but I think on top of the waffles would have been a better call (so I reconfigured things myself). Half way through eating I noticed the candied pecans were missing so I asked my waitress because I was interested in trying them with the dish. She noted that they didn't have them and haven't been able to get any for over a week. While I would have ordered the dish anyway, it would have been nice to be told upfront. Another downside of the meal was the third chicken tender was all batter, I didn't see a bit of meat in there. Check out the picture and let me know if you see it. Anyway, while the hostess - first interaction with the business - wasn't very warm, I found everyone else I interacted with to be very hospitable. I enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it.

We decided on the Beef Sliders and the Chimichurri Street Tacos, both with the Parmesan Garlic Fries. By the time our food came, our friends finally arrived but it took the server a long time to return to the table to even take their order. We seemed to have that issue all evening. I did enjoy the Tacos, they were delicious, and my boyfriend devoured his Beef Sliders. Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

They are just south of where Holland Rd. merges into Independence Blvd. My most recent visit here was on April 23, 2026. From the outside of the business, it does stand out a bit with the large name above the entrance. You can definitely see it if you look from Holland Rd. I had seen it too when traveling down that road, but I finally came in for the first time on March 10, 2026 after leaving the Voter Registrar's Office not too far from there. Upon entering, it wasn't too busy yet, but it was a little before 4 pm, so it was still early for the evening dinner rush. The inside of the place definitely has the bar scene vibe with the bar area and televisions showing sports there, with closed captioning on. One of the bartenders said we could find a spot to be seated. My mom and I went to one of the booths available. It was just seconds later that our server came over, welcomed us here, bringing menus over, and introduced herself. The first question is always asking about what to drink. I continue to go with my usual, which is water with lemons, while my mom got Coke. After having some time to look over the menu, when we got our drinks, my mom and I were both ready to order. I decided to go with the Sloppy Joe Samich with Onion Rings as the side item, but subbing Pepper Jack Cheese instead of American Cheese. My mom decided to do an appetizer as the main course, which was the Loaded Nachos Half Size Portion. A little less than 10 minutes later, our food orders came to the table, and they looked really good, and when we went to try it out, they were definitely hot too. The Sloppy Joe Samich ended up being really good and hit the spot for me. The onion rings were good too, and were a bit of an indulgence for me. My mom really liked the Loaded Nachos and that had good flavor to it as well. Our server also told us about various specials they have through the week, so this would warrant future visits for us too. The next few visits would be on Thursdays, as they have a $7 Burger Night Special beginning at 5 pm. For those next visits (including the most recent one, except for the April 6 visit), I would end up getting the Bacon Cheeseburger With Fries (additional cost to change the side item for specials). My mom also did a few types of burgers on these visits, one being the Cowboy Burger. Every time, the burgers came out as expected and hot. The fries were really good too, as I usually do pepper on them instead of salt. There was one additional visit on April 6th, which was a Monday. We came in that day for the Fried Shrimp Basket Special. That one comes with Fried Shrimp and Fries, and is available all day. The shrimp were really good and filling too. Overall, the food, service, atmosphere, and specials have been great here. I really feel like they are a hidden gem. When it comes to sodas, they did carry Coke products, but as of the middle of April 2026, they are now serving Pepsi products. I want to note that there is a 3% order processing fee, likely for anyone paying by a card instead of cash. Even when I have been there at busier times, parking was never an issue. It feels like a family atmosphere too. On the most recent visit, they even stated that they notice us as regulars here now. If you're looking for a different place that serves more than just burgers, this place is worth checking out, as I have not seen a place around yet that has the Sloppy Joe type samich.

The both of us, well three of us if you count the dog, enjoyed our meals. I went with the doggy-style version of the Chicken n Waffles. This take on the classic dish included: a bacon-infused waffle, fried chicken thigh, sausage gravy, candied bacon, and bourbon maple syrup. Overall, I enjoyed the dish with the small exceptions that the batter made the waffle really heavy for my personal tastes. I'm more of a fan of light, fluffy waffles. Unfortunately, I did not know this at the time, but the kitchen puts the syrup on the waffle for you. Personally, I like to add my own syrup because I do not like too much syrup on my waffles (and pancakes). However, those two minor issues did not take away from the dish. Also, the other aspects of the dish made up for those minor inconveniences. My partner ordered the Pongo, which was served with a fried chicken thigh, cheddar biscuit, scrambled egg, sausage gravy, house potatoes. If you are a fan of Bloody Marys, the restaurant has a selection of 4 or 5 interesting Bloody Marys. I went with the Porky's Revenge, which had bacon-infused vodka, Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix and a bacon-dusted rim. Both of us were quite pleased with our selections. Also, come here hungry because the serving sizes are quite large. Because of the large serving sizes, I thought the prices were relatively fair compared to other places the area. Actually, I would change "fair" to "generous". Both of our dishes were about 17 bucks with the 4ish dollar 'doggy style' add on. Generally speaking, our waitress was really on the ball. Although we were sitting outside, she frequently checked in us and was very professional while being funny. Hopefully, we can make another stop here during our next Va. Beach vacation adventure.
