Very disappointed. I paid for two hot bubble teas 13$. Got them cold. I told her, she said it's a mistake, 10min later got hot bubble teas but no bubbles. I asked another lady that works there, she said they don't have hot bubble tea (when I ordered they didn't tell me), I asked if there is extra charge for bubbles, and they both replied in the same time, one said yes another no. Then she said they will give me money back, but totally ignored me for next 10 min. Then I asked for money again and finally got it. I go here at least once a week. Love how they focus on organic / natural ingredients. The owner and family is great too. The only thing that I will say, is I've noticed that there is discrepancies between the sizes of the drinks. I like to get the Green is Good avocado drink and sometimes I walk out with a small size drink and other times I walk out with a large size drink. I would be nice to get the same size drink every-time, for example if you get 2 large sizes and then the next time they give you a small size, it makes you feel like you got ripped off. read more

This place has some good drinks, and some are not. I personally like matcha and mocha latte. Taste like milo and matcha. I had their classic milk tea, it was a bit plain, not so good. Fried flour with eggs is pretty good. They now have more vietnamese food and snacks variety to choose. The place is nice and clean, i love going here to study. Definitely a fan with the ambient and service. However, not a fan with the experience with the space and annoying teenager group that were inconsiderate and loud. It is also overpriced. Came upon Chill Zone when I visited the area after lunch near Eden Center. Was planning my vacation coming up and my work week with my husband while chillax. The overall ambience is a A+. The owner really know how to bring out the aesthetics and cozyness of a cafe. Its definitely what we look for when we search for coffee shops. Seating is decent with variety type of seats from stools towards the window area, to tables that fits at least 4 people and on the floor seating with comfortable cushions. Bathroom was super cute and came with a sliding farm door. I order Genmaicha in a pot and it came out to be $7. I would say that's steep for tea in a coffee shop so this is pricey and not a single $ sign place. Viet Coffee is like $5. Anyways with the ambience, I think it's justify able but in the high end. Downside- annoying teenagers who were inconsiderate of space of other and noise level. We had to leave early because it was unbearable. I love this place! I happened to stumble upon it in searching of some coffee after work at Virginia Hospital Center. The Starbucks across the street and the whole shopping center is always so packed. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised. It's small, yet quaint and homey. I love the decoration, the photographs and having been there enough, the warm welcome when I walk in. I've had the bahn mi (amazing especially with the fried egg and Sriracha), numerous types of coffee, also the boba tea. This place does not disappoint. Plan on continuing to be a regular. read more

I love supporting small businesses, especially during this time- chill zone hours posted on their website and on the store front state an opening of 9am on Friday's. After waiting 10 min for someone to show up, I called and was told they open at 10am. I asked why that was when it was stated otherwise everywhere else and he said "because I said 10". After reading some of the other reviews, it made me realize how many people aren't use to change-which is disappointing. This place is unique and seeks to please those that care to try something new. There's nothing hard about finding the location, they have made bigger signs from two different ways of entry. Entering, I've always been greeted with a smile which makes me feel at home and left with the expectation to come back with the mission to bring all of my friends here. It's a good place to gather with small groups of people and sometimes you'll get lucky if you come towards the hour of closing to have the place to yourself. I'm surprised anyone would write a bad review of Chill Zone. I recently stayed in Arlington for a week for a friend's wedding. I was looking for a place to work and, hopefully, wake up because my Airbnb only had decaf. I managed to stumble across Chill Zone after I'd reassigned myself to the next door Starbucks. First of all, I loved the decor-from the paper cranes to the photograph motif, the entire cafe was gorgeous, with really lovely attention to detail. The free motivational stickers and lollipops were also nice touches. More importantly, the food was delicious. It's not often you get a cafe fusion styled. I got the vegan Pho multiple times, as well as many coffee-based beverages and was never anything less than sucking them up like a human vacuum cleaner because everything I got was pretty amazing. It was also a great place to work, with Wifi and really kind staff. All in all, please come to NYC, Chill Zone. read more

Wow, this place was dope. Every decor felt intentional and well displayed. It was beautiful! Not only that, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. They offered chargers for you to use and a cute section to sit on the floor and take off your shoes. The food was fantastic. I got the Beef Ban Minh and it was delicious! There is no shortage of Vietnamese Cafes in the Arlington/Falls Church area, however, Chill Zone has taken a different approach form their competitors. Chill zone offers Vietnamese Cofee, frapes, food, and western options in a comfortable environment conducive to hanging out and working. High-quality drinks and a welcome alternative to Starbucks, I have seen a few reviews mentioning the price. My take on that is that unlike other cafes, they do not have a weekend "no-laptop policy" and you are encouraged to hang around and enjoy. That costs them turn-over and with competitors going the other direction I am more than happy to pay a little extra if it keeps them open. I found this place after being politely turned away from Cafe Kindred in Falls Church for having a laptop bag with me. Other comparable places include Rare Bird (also falls church), which is FANTASTIC, but they get very crowded on the weekends with the farmers market being nearby. Chill Zone is a hidden gem. Hopefully, the prices are set in such a way that they can keep crowds down while still being successful. Fingers crossed. read more

Was already on Yelp, so just wanted to support Chill Zone with a review. Chill Zone is just a great spot. Period. Get yourself a power c and a lemongrass vermicelli bowl (or zoodle bowl, you health nut). It is stylish, tasty, the owners are nice, clean, and they seem to be constantly working on their general brand/company, which I care a little less about, but have appreciated seeing the aesthetic evolve over the years. If you live near here: get food from here. Done. Also: very big window, gets nice and hots during the summer. Great for those of you who like the hot and sleepy cat vibe. read more

Stopped in to try their boba and was disappointed. Their milk tea flavor was not bad, but their boba balls were too sticky. Boba should be chewy and never stick to your teeth. I love their taro slush. I get it with less sugar (since they don't have 0 sugar). It just tastes better - like real taro - than the other taro drinks I've had. Discovered this hidden gem a couple of months ago, and fell in love with their decor and layout--especially their little nook where you can sit on the floor! Such a unique feature. I loved sitting there when I was working remotely, basking in the sun from their HUGE windows and enjoying the very chill ambience. All of the drinks and food I've tried have been good, although a bit overpriced I'd say. Especially the banh mi. It was expensive, disappointingly small and probably (at best) a 3/5 on flavor. The drinks are much better. My favorite is the Frosted Mango frappe! If you come and plan to spend a lot of time, make sure to bring some headphones! This was my first time visiting Chill Zone and it was good. The service was amazing making sure that I was pleased with my order and comfortable in their shop. The owner always had a smile on his face the entire time I was there. The coffee was good as well and you can tell they pay attention to small details to ensure good quality. The shop in general doesn't have enough seating and the seating they have are not as comfortable (they do have a floor seating area which is unique and I did not try out). This place was loud and I couldn't connect to the WiFi so it could use some improvement as a work place. In general I liked this coffee shop and I will definitely be back soon! read more

Cute hangout spot when you want Asian drinks and little snacks! When I saw this place on instagram, I was super excited to try it. I would say that the aesthetics of the menu and cute decorations make this place instagram-worthy; plus, the boba fraps lived up to the hype. The most popular drink menu are probably mango volcano, taro, and frosty mango fraps. Starbucks frappuccino meets Asian dessert flavors: you can't go wrong. I shared taro, frosty mango fraps and Asian pancake as a savory snack. The tapioca pearls are smaller and softer than the typical Boba, but I liked it because you can enjoy your drink without a mouthful of boba with each slurp. With $0.50 extra, you can get tear-drop boba mixed with your regular boba. It's the first time I've had tear-drop boba: clear, white tapioca pearl with a more sweet taste than regular boba. It went well with fruity drinks. You can also get it in a glass bottle if you wish to take good shots of the food. The drinks are more pricey compared to Kung Fu Tea, but the drinks are huge and so good! There's also not as much variety, but I think each menu item is unique. You really can't find some of these flavors anywhere else. And props to them on the beautiful, creative interior! [Long overdue review] I came here on a Friday evening after a Nationals game and have been frequenting this cafe ever since. I'm obsessed with the volcano drink, which is essentially the Mexican drink, chamoyada (mango chunks and puree, chamoy sauce, chili powder and a tamarind stick). It is near impossible finding places in the DMV that serve these types of drinks, so I always order it. This is a perfect summer time drink! What is unique about this place is that they use smaller boba bubbles (tear-shaped). It's a refreshing change in comparison to all the recent boba establishments popping up in the area. Chill Zone's Vietnamese coffee is also quite delicious. As well as their rose jasmine bubble tea. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with any of the choices. The paper crane logo on the drink cups is very cute as well. I also like how there is an elevated wood section where you can sit criss-cross at short tables (taking your shoes off first). A couple minor caveats would be that the space isn't very big and the layout of some of the seats is a bit obstructive. There's only one large bathroom stall and unfortunately, this place isn't metro accessible/in a convenient location. However, I recently became a vegetarian and was worried I wouldn't be able to enjoy my favorite foods like banh mi and pho but Chill Zone has it all! Their tofu banh mi and turmeric latte has become my favorite quarantine meal. I got the flat white and he got Vietnamese coffee over ice. My milk was steamed perfectly and his was not overly sweet (which I prefer) like most Vietnamese coffees are. I was super excited to try chill zone when I first heard they opened and was pleasantly surprised. First they use vigilante coffee which is locally roasted and super great quality. So if you're a true coffee fanatic, this is the place to get your bubble tea from. They don't have a huge variety but the quality of their tea and their coffee with their perfectly cooked mini boba was delicious!!! Chill Zone is an awesome new addition to the Asian coffee/tea house market. With that given, do not come here expecting Starbucks! Any place with a Slayer deserves some recognition. However they want to use it is up to them. I've had their milk teas, Vietnamese iced coffee/frap, and they are both delicious. I love the smaller bubbles, and prefer this over any I've had in the past. The only complaint I have is that they are tucked in an awkward location in Arlington. Parking can get a little tricky, and unless you know it's there, it's easy to miss. Hopefully they'll expand to other areas in the area, closer to DC read more
