This place is an awesome local bakery and deli inside Eden Center. The workers are incredibly kind, the food is amazing, and they offer a wide variety of options for such a small store. I highly recommend their Bánh Mì sandwiches!

Came here for their pate chaud (French empanadas! Flaky Phyllo dough with either chicken and pork. They're delicious! The staff is very friendly and serves with a smile.

FALLS CHURCH, VA 11/18/18 DESSERT +The bubble tea was pretty good! It did not have too much cream or condensed milk like some other bubble tea spots. +Real fruit is used, and not much sweetener is added. -$10 minimum purchase to use a credit card. -No loyalty rewards program. -The facility is not that clean. This place offers a lot better bubble tea and/or fruit smoothies than Kung Fu Tea.

This place has excellent banh mi. There's a credit card minimum but you can easily meet that minimum with the plethora of snacks and homemade treats.

I agree with others in saying that Saigon Bakery & Deli lacks unique and/or specialty items, but I did try a few things when I stopped by a few weeks ago (7/21). Banh Pia: 4 for $11.99. Right off the bat, yeah--they're pretty pricey; individually, they're $3.99. These are probably priciest moon cakes I've bought in years, but I absolutely loved them! The flakiness was on point, the filling was generous, came with a whole salted egg, and the flavor was fantastic--the perfect mix of sweet and savory. I regret not buying more when I was here. Banh Khoai Mi Nuong: It's decent, but I probably won't buy it again. The slice I picked was huge and pretty dense, but it lacked flavor and was a bit on the dry side. I've had better cassava cake elsewhere. Nuoc Mia: Craving complete! The sugarcane juice was delicious--it's not the sweetest Nuoc Mia I've had, but it was just right. I also appreciate how the lady making my drink didn't add too much ice. It was super refreshing, evening when it was pouring rain the day I went! The elderly woman who assisted my family and I was very friendly and accommodating; the others working there, including who I believe is the owner, were just as welcoming.

Picked up a couple of grilled pork banh mi and asked them to separate the veggies. Prepping the sandwich to consume and noticed the cucumbers were bad. I mean really - bad spots and white fuzz bad. Made us skeptical of the sandwiches but those looked fine.

It was treat to see the the southeast Asian goodies all out on display in this bakery. There are bubble tea machines behind the counter with various exotic flavors like jackfruit, lychee and taro. We had the jackfruit and it was delicious! We also tried the various buns and pandan leaf treats on the counter. The cashier was friendly and took the time out to explain the different items on display.

Of all 4 bakeries on the sidewalk at Eden Center, Saigon Bakery is the unwanted stepchild of the bunch. It's smaller, there is no line waiting for banh mi like the other bakeries, etc. It's almost a little sad when you go in there, but fear not - there are other treats to come here for... Banh bao (large steamed dumplings filled with minced pork, mushroom, onion, Chinese sausage, and hard-boiled egg) - Saigon Bakery is my go-to place for 'em. I'm pretty picky about my banh bao, and don't like the crumbly overly doughy, overly sweet ones. No, Saigon Bakery's are just right with thinner, chewier, just sweet-enough dough. One of them had shiitake mushrooms (a little different for me), though, and one used wood ear/cloud ear mushroom. I prefer the latter. They were freshly made, and still slightly warm. I was just there collecting some goodies for Tet yesterday, and their sesame balls were still warm and toasty. Heated up in the toaster oven later that night, the rice flour was wonderfully crisp at first bite but then immediately yielded to a nice, thick layer of gelatinous rice flour and a perfectly sweet, slightly coconutty mung bean center. They were excellent, making me sigh with nostalgia over my childhood and say how much better they were over the Chinese's red bean paste version. They also carry pandan leaf and regular sweet & unsweetened soy milk; I suspect it may be from the tofu shop a couple doors down though. Other than that, the only things they have that the other bakeries might not is its selection of exotic fruits, although not always in the freshest condition. Overall, this place is probably 2.5 stars, but I'm ranking them a 4 for those top-notch banh bao & sesame balls.

They have a breakfast/brunch menu, a daytime/lunch menu, and an evening menu and you can watch them preparing items in the kitchen. You can either eat inside or outside on the patio, and they have heaters for the cooler days. We came here to get some baked goods mid-afternoon and they still had a good selection. The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They weren't cheap but they were tasty and enjoyable. I did want to mention they have parking but it's hit or miss on getting a spot since it can get crowded so walking might be easiest if you live nearby. I'll come back here again for a meal and to try some other items on their menu.

I really wanted to love this place…read more My family and I chose to come here for Easter because it's dog-friendly -- which felt like the perfect combination for us. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

They have a huge selection of drinks, all based on their freshly made sugarcane juice. I just got the classic juice since it was my first time trying sugarcane, but I'll definitely be back to sample some of the other fruity combos. It was delightful -- not too sweet, with notes of honey and an almost floral-like flavor. At $7 a cup, it was definitely pricey, but pretty reasonable for the area as I've also seen plenty of cafes and boba shops charge similar prices for lower quality drinks. The staff was super friendly, and I love that they had one of their juicing machines right next to the register. It was really fun to watch them work, and the machine spit out all the extra sugar cane skins / peelings into a giant wooden bucket that you could take from. The sugarcane had a great aroma, and the peelings are a fun way to keep kids entertained.

The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.
