Of all the restaurants in Boulder City, NV, I like this one the most! I've spent of total of 6 days in Boulder City in my whole life. My host is not a cook and prefers to eat 7/11 gourmet... I do not. I had the privelege of visiting multiple coffee shops and restaurants in town so I obviously know what I'm talking about coming from the food tourism mecca of San Diego. TABLE! Big and clean made for 6 was perfect for me to manspread. Cholula waiting for me was an extra nice surprise as Tabasco was all I could get at other places. COFFEE! The waitress brought me butter immediately as cream ain't nothing to bother with when you have real butter. STEAK! Medium cook, so juicy. Compliments to the chef. EGGS! Over medium was perfect. Cooked just how I prefer and can never do myself. POTATOES! Always good when served crispy, not sopping with oil. I used them to eat any remaining steak juice, egg yolk and cholula. I saw this place on the way to Hemenway Park and decided to stop here on the way back. I just thought it would be a cool spot to stop at for a quick bite....although, I will say, there's nothing quick about this establish. After all, they do post a sign stating "We don't make fast food, we make quality food as fast as we can". This is outside dining only that I can tell as well as all the ordering and pick-up. Strong suggestion. This is fair weather dining only. I was torn trying out either the Best Dam Panini or the Spicy Hot Pastrami sandwich. So, I asked the cashier which was the best one. She said the pastrami, pastrami, it is. Several minutes later, I ordered a 2-piece chicken meal for my wife. About 20-25 mins later, i was able to pick up our order. As appealing as the sandwich looked, I was practically flooded with disappointment. Aside from the fact that the meal itself wasn't really hot nor even remotely spicy, it lacked flavor and was really dry. Every time I took a bite of the sandwich it required me to drink something to swallow it down. I was only able to finish half of the sandwich. The fries had a nice crisp but, again, borderline cold, and seemed like I got a bunch of end pieces that were the last at bottom of the bag. The wife's chicken meal was ok. Pieces were a little small but at least hot, wife said a bit salty. The potato wedges (that don't look like wedges at all) could have been cooked a little bit longer. The biscuit, dry and crumbly. The side chosen was a serving of their Mac and cheese which I admit was pretty decent. Great consistency and flavor. Overall, my first impression of this place...eh. And maybe what we chose isn't their specialty or niche. Nonetheless, whatever it's stated on the menu should reflect as such. Evidently, this establishment needs to work on order time management. It sucks when you have 2 items on the same order with one that's done and waiting while still working on the second just to serve them both as once. Why not serve them as soon as they are prepared, so, that it's an equal experience for all parties? Just a thought, really.... With the constant rise in inflation in everything these days, it's hard to say, if overpriced. I came on a Saturday afternoon. Service was very friendly, they have a clean bathroom available for guests. I only saw outdoor Patio seating which was a bit dirty at a few tables. I got a milkshake, cheeseburger and a side of tater tots for $23. The burger was bland/flavorless...tots were a little too crispy for my liking, and over salted. When that didn't work I went to the drive through, and patiently waited another 10 minutes and then left after not hearing from anybody. I was in a rush already so I was meaning to just ask how long the food would be but they couldn't even get to my order. Chilly Jilly'z is definitely a unique spot with different lunch offerings. I preferred this place more when they had the sit down inside opened up.. it almost hard to recommend this place when I have visitors in town because it's usually super windy or just too hot to be eating outside... I've been back twice since the changeover and the food is still great! Get there early if you want a croissant, they're super fresh so I'm always understanding when I ask for the big horn and they say they're sold out for the day of the croissants. Chilly Jilly's is one of my top favorite spots not only in Boulder City but in the Las Vegas area. Their team is always great and provides awesome service. I've tried several items on the menu and rave about all of them. My go-to is the TABLT and onion rings, though I love their French fries too! Spicy Hot Pastrami is a close second, burgers are also great. You HAVE to get the Root Beer float at least once. Something about this place is nostalgic and welcoming. This little spot is SOOOO good! The food is fresh and tastes AMAZING! We got the TABLT and Fingers w/fries and let me just start off by saying their food tastes like... real food. Not processed garbage. Not sure how else to explain it... but I could taste the difference especially with their chicken. My TABLT was the perfect size, the Turkey was juicy and the Avocado was perfectly ripe! I al not sure what I was expecting, however it far exceeded whatever those expectations were lol. Anyone needing to get chill in the heat should go here for something cold. Chilly Jilly'z is Boulder City's best place for cold desserts. It might be the best in the entire valley. Hot food too like burgers. The only bad thing is the long wait. I have to get some Dole Whip when coming. It's not common to find around here. This is the only place I know of that has it. It's $2.50 for a small cup. They also have the float, where they put it in pineapple juice and top it with whipped cream, which is a nice treat. Also you can get a full meal. Hot food includes things like burgers and fries, along with some healthier options. A few are vegetarian friendly. They have a plant based burger too. It's $8 and is actually pretty big. This can take a long time to make because they make everything to order, which tests your patience but it makes it taste much better so just wait for it. Also has breakfast. If you go on weekends they have brunch on the Patio. The menu is expanded with even more good stuff. read more

Chilly jillys earned its namesake today, because it was so cold we could not enjoy the patio. They have changed the way they do biz post Covid, as now they only have a walk up window and drive through where prior you could go inside to eat which I preferred. We ordered a chicken salad, the plant based burger with onion rings as a side (+$4), a root beer float, and some chocolate soft serve. It's cold outside but who doesn't like a little pain with their pleasure... anyways.... We take the food back to Vegas because it's too cold outside to eat. We open our boxes and find that we had been given exactly 4 onion rings. So we paid $1 EACH for onion rings. Now that's just not right. They're just onion rings and not very good ones at that. My salad was just ok, but the plant based burger was pretty good. Dessert as always.... can't go wrong there. It only seems fitting to crave dessert while traversing through the desert (#1) but that was the initial draw to Chilly Jilly'z, a local favorite in Boulder City. It gave off the vibes of an old school diner meets fast food, but after reading some of the reviews I soon realized it was so much more. They tout themselves as a place that has something for everyone and I sense they might be right. The place looks old school, but in a good way. In addition to plenty of indoor seating, they have an even more extensive outdoor seating setup. They also have a drive-thru, which is what my group and I opted for, since we needed something quick and refreshing. After some deliberation, I went with their uber popular dole whip float. I was skeptical initially; this isn't Hawaii and dole whip floats aren't a thing in Nevada (#2), or so I thought. What I got was a super refreshing, somewhat tart, ultra satisfying chilled treat. It wasn't exactly dessert, but it was plenty tasty to make me want another. I saw others ordering comfort foods like mac and cheese, fried chicken and I saw a steady line for their self-serve froyo. I was told they also specialize in salads and sandwiches, which are perfect foods for on the go. Given how often I am in this part of the world, I anticipate it won't be long till I get a chance to try their hot foods. Not a great experience. And they need to cut down the branches in the eating area with thorns on them. read more

What was once a stand out restaurant with a signature chicken dish unlike any other place in the Las Vegas valley decided that it was too much trouble to have the "best" chicken, so they settled on just having chicken.
