All the meats were excellently seasoned and proper temperature. Not a fan of buffet style salad bar, it leaves chance for people to touch with bare hands, or put things back from plate. Also people were going back up with a plate they ate from and touching dirty plate with the serving utensils. In addition, meat servers place the bottom of Skewer on your plate to place meat serving & this is being done with each persons plate, leaves room for germs to spread from bottom of skewer. We went for a birthday dinner and I've been at a similar type of place so I kinda knew what to expect. We started in the upstairs bar and I have to say the bartender was fantastic. Friendly, chatty and made the BEST mojito I've had in a very long time! Once we moved downstairs we were promptly seated and our waitress was fast and efficient in getting our cheese bread (amazing) and drinks. I tried the sangria and it was fantastic! We then hit the salad bar and the selection of items was ample and fresh. BE CAREFUL though, it's easy to load up there and then not have room for the delicious and broad meat selection they bring around. My favorite was the New York strip but I enjoyed all the other beef options. There was a lot of lamb but I didn't have any because I don't eat baby animals, however several at the table partook and said it was very delicious. We finished with dessert and I was able to taste the crème brûlée, flan and mango mousse. All were well worth the calories. I'd definitely eat here again and it's a great spot for group meals. My only wish was that they had more round tables for groups larger than six because it's hard to chat with everyone at a rectangular table but otherwise, the experience was fantastic! read more

Came with family on Friday to celebrate parent's anniversary. Overall it was a good experience everyone had a great time. Service was great. They were nice enough to hold our table past our reservation while we waited for the rest of our party. Waitress was on top of things making sure we had drinks and constantly cleaning the table. Each person gets a card you flip it to yes if you want people coming around with meat to your table and turn it to no if you want a break. They kept the meat coming and always asked if we wanted any specific items. The food was good. Salad bar had a range of different items, including brown and white rice, beans, salads, cold vegetables, cheese, different sauces, and even soup. They had a variety of different meats including steaks, shrimp, chicken, lamb, even roasted vegetables and grilled pineapple. Drinks were good, we got a bottle of the True Myth Cabernet Sauvignon which paired well with the meats. Some of the cocktails, like the Red Sangria, were a bit too sweet. One thing to note is some of the red meat would be lukewarm by the time served and got cold quicker than expected. They have an upstairs area with seating and bar if you are waiting for a table or just want to get drinks. I believe you can host events up there as well. Having been a fan of Chima Steakhouse for a long time, I've decided to finally write a review on them. Chima's is a Brazilian steakhouse that serves many different cuts and types of steaks and meats that are flavored to perfection. When you walk into Chima's, you can smell the aroma of the marinated meats, the decor is fitting and the ambiance is perfect for a dinner of two or large groups. Each time, we've been here, the wait staff and servers have always been wonderful. They make sure that we are enjoying our meal and if you have any request for certain meats then they try to get them to you as quickly as possible. The first time I came here was with my wife for our anniversary and the waiter explained how the process works with them. Essentially, they give you a token and when you want more food, you have the token flipped to one side and when you don't want food then you have the token flipped to the other side. There are many different types of steaks that they have and I would have to say the the Filet Mignon and the salmon are my favorite. They also have a cheesy bread that comes with your meal and it's damn good. Usually at the end of dinner, my wife and I will share a Crème Brûlée which I absolutely love. I highly, highly recommend Chima's Steakhouse for any occasion and if you don't want dine in service then you can place an online order for pickup or delivery. 2nd time at Chima. First time was AMAZING and server was INCREDIBLE. We did the New Years package this time and it was just ok. We knew the New Years package included dessert but server didn't even acknowledge it. We asked about it when he delivered the bill and he was like "oh yeah.... You can get dessert" ‍. We ordered take out for our 19 year old son who was home with the flu. He said it would take 15 minutes which was fine. However we waited, and waited. We saw the take out order ready and sitting but our server was no where to be found. We celebrated our foodie boys' birthdays here since they are big eaters who love steak. It was their first time. My husband and I dined here years ago. Inside it was as I had remembered. Classic fine dining decor with white table clothes and a candle on each table. But not overly stuffy. We couldn't have asked for better service. The staff was attentive and were also sensitive to a food allergy. The manager brought out a full list of each dish and allergens associated. Our boys enjoyed 2 mocktails each (mango lime-aid and the strawberry lime-aid). Strawberry was their favorite. Very fresh and not overly sugary. My husband and I each enjoyed a glass of Cabernet and an espresso martini. Both were delicious. The salad bar area was a bit underwhelming in my opinion from my previous visit. While there were a good amount of selections, (including warm items such as rice, beans, and soup), I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Everything tasted mediocre. My boys did however really enjoy the soup and returned for a 2nd serving. The rodizio meat service did not skip a beat! Continued to roll out! Everything was delicious and tender. If the temperature was not to your liking, they returned with your request. From filet and ribeye, to shrimp and salmon, lamb and ribs; they had it all covered! Our favorites were the bacon wrapped filet, sirloin, and the ribeye. Mashed potatoes, yuca, and sweet plantains were also brought out to each table. We were so stuffed, but our sweet server brought out cheesecake for our boys which was on the house. They shared it was the best they'd ever had. I ended up at Chima this past Sunday after seeing Les Mis and I wanted to say the steak was much more flavorful and they had new flavor additions, like jalapeno marinade, cajun ribeye and lots of toppings for the bar. The service was unfortunately really slow; on two different occasions, found myself sitting for 10+ minutes without one cut of meat passing by. This wouldn't be a huge deal if they hadn't changed the salad bar so much, but because I couldn't find anything, I was literally waiting for the next piece of meat to continue my meal. This is personal preference, but this time, I actually walked the entire bar and didn't get one thing; in the past, I've been able to at least snag a few olives and cheeses, but the selection just wasn't to my personal liking. I'm not deducting a point for this, but just a note. Finally, as far as the little appetizers and sides they bring by: the cheesy bread was yummy, per usual, as were the delicious mashed potatoes. Didn't try the yuca, but the fried bananas were nearly inedible. Doughy, flavorless and just... nasty. The slow service, pitiful bananas and not-so-appetizing salad bar were pretty disappointing. Chima Expensive, but worth it! This was quite an experience! We were treated like family from the moment we walked in the door! It is such an elegant, high end restaurant! The entire place was sparkling clean! There was no judging of our attire, even though we were dressed fairly casual. The host helped all of the ladies in our party to our seats (held out the chair). The wait staff was on point throughout our entire meal. In particular, our server, Trey, was spectacular! The salad bar was like no salad bar I have ever seen! So many different items and every item was top notch! Then the SHOW began! Oh my goodness! So many different kinds of meats prepared so many different ways! Just a few examples include, sirloin, filet mignon, rib eye, roast beef, shrimp, grilled, lamp, fresh pineapple, and roasted chicken. All this was served with mashed potatoes, bread sticks, and fried bananas. Overall a wonderful dining experience. 10 out of 10 in every category! Lol The salad bar is fully appointed and seems like a mile long with sautéed veggies a variety of salads chilled veggies fruits nuts seeds two types of rice and half dozen sauces including my favorite chimichurri sauce!! Yummmmm They provide you with sides of mashed potatoes, fried bananas and some kind of fried cornmeal thingy ( I wasn't a fan but just me) - and then the meats including veggies skewers and grilled pineapple which was yummy - add the grilled pineapple to your rice and you'll thank me guaranteed. I made a reservation weeks in advance for July 7th at 8:45pm to celebrate a milestone birthday for my boyfriend. I booked on open table which stated that there would be valet parking (3 hours for $15) and a 15 minute grace period. When we approached the restaurant there wasn't a valet attendant outside so we drove around looking for a parking lot that we could park in. This was around 8:49pm. I called the restaurant at 8:53pm because I noticed that we were approaching the end of our grace period and we were literally driving around looking for parking. The employee said that valet was outside of the restaurant so we circled around again and there was no valet outside. This was around 8:58pm so I got out of the car and ran to the door of the restaurant and it was already locked! I called again and they said I am too late to be seated. As some patrons were exiting I entered and another employee tells me I can't be seated and there is nothing she can do. At this time it was 9:01, one minute beyond the grace period. Usually when you tell a restaurant that you are celebrating a birthday they are accommodating and try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible but this was not the case at Chima Steakhouse. read more

Chima has been on my foodie list of uptown restaurants to try for quite some time now. I finally had a chance to visit on last night, 5/8/21. Upon arrival, it was pretty busy but we received our reserved table pretty quickly. Our server, Paco, did an amazing job explaining the process. The ambiance had a real relaxed and laid back vibe. We started with the salad bar, which surprisingly was a bit underwhelming. I admit that I can be a picky eater but I felt that there was little to choose from. I ended up with brown rice, caesar salad, kale & sweet potato salad, cheese and fruit. Another server brought out a few more sides consisting of whipped mashed potatoes, fried bananas, polenta and rolls with a turkey spread. The turkey spread was the star of the table at this point. My gosh, it was absolutely delicious!!! I think I could've very well eaten that the entire night and leave happy. The mashed potatoes were also good. This is where my disappointment starts: The Meat!!! While all of our servers were very friendly, the meats had little to no flavor whatsoever. I echo another reviewer's sentiments on this very thing. For example, there was not a distinct taste from the Cajun to the Jalapeno ribeye. Some cuts had lots of fat on it. Absolutely nothing stood out! I thought it was just my taste buds but my husband agreed. The meats were very forgettable. I tried MANY different cuts but came to the same conclusion. Other than the turkey spread, the PINEAPPLE stole the show. I mean seriously, this pineapple which I believe may have been marinated in brown sugar and/or cinnamon was TO DIE FOR! Trust me when I say, it was exquisite. Lastly, I ordered the crème brulee,' which is one of my favorite desserts, PERIOD. Not exactly sure what was mixed in with it but it had a loud citrusy taste which threw it off for me. My husband and I made a reservation a week prior to coming--Our reservation was scheduled for Friday Evening around 7 PM. We brought my parents here to celebrate my fathers birthday--By the way, thank you Chimas for the complimentary dessert! If you've never dined at Chima Steakhouse I would highly recommend making a reservation to start. The restaurant was PACKED with hungry customers, both upstairs and downstairs. This is a good sign! Chima also offers Free Valet parking. Remember to wear your fat pants! There are tons of food options, including Gluten Free selections. The Rodizio menu offers a wide selection of meats: - Filet Mignon - Certified Angus Beef Picanha - Top Sirloin - Baby Top Sirloin - Filet Wrapped in Bacon - Salmon - Lamb Chops - Beef Ribs - Boneless Chicken And much more.... The Salad bar has several unique options to choose from ranging from cured meats, fried rice, fresh mozzarella, arugula salad, fried rice, and more. There's also sauces at the end of the bar, I LOVED the Chimichurri sauce and Mint Jelly! HEAVEN!! The customer service is excellent! Our waiter Robert was very friendly and helpful, he gave great recommendations. I truly appreciated his warm spirit. I really like the food here, and the experience is entertaining too. However, I made a reservation here on Thanksgiving, and when I arrived, they were severely overbooked. These lamb chops were heavenly, I haven't had anything that has been that delicious since my sashimi risotto back in Waikiki. Their selections of alcohol were great and so were the pours. My only two critiques were that We didn't receive the full course. Many gauchos never came around to us. Particularly the shrimp and chicken gauchos. We saw certain other gauchos 6-8 times during dinner. We had to make a special request for chicken and shrimp That was annoying. Second, this restaurant has a dress code. Business casual. I wore a suit and a tie and was with a group.dressed similarly. Yes I understand all you can eat but I don't want to wait 45 minutes for that hunk of meat to come back around. I'm sure the folks working there love it because I bet the pay is great. I've never been confronted by a waiter for leaving a 22% tip, but at Chima I was. He wanted 25% because the tip outs go to the entire waitstaff. I'm sure everyone has eaten at Chima but me. However, a friend suggested we go. She's been about 10 times and raves about it. At the time I felt it was overpriced and pretentious. Boy was I wrong. I will say that I came during COVID and it was the summer special. I have been on Keto for about 6 months and felt I needed to get out the house. Chima seems like the perfect option. My mind was blown the whole night. The restaurant was well lit. I came in Summer Soiree` attire but the environment was more relaxed and I honestly could have worn jeans and a tee. However, be mindful that the restaurant does have a dress code. We were seated on the lower level. Social distancing enforced, mask and hand sanitizer is available. This Rodizio pulls out all the stops. The salad bar is splined and sets the mood for the night's entre of meat galore. It was anything but typical. There was spinach/kale salad with sweet potatoes, traditional creaser with dressing, asparagus, chick peas, rice and beans, and this amazing Gorgonzola mouse that was amazing and paired with the beef selections. There are an area of other items such as salami, prosciutto, and various fruits to enhance your pallet. I was amazed that you get potatoes, cheddar biscuits, polenta, and fried plantain with your meal including a delectable turkey spread. The meats are robust. There is a calling system of color coded cards to beckon your meat carver to canvas your plate with 5-6 steak varieties, chicken, lamb, sausage, ribs, shrimp, salmon with sauces and various other means including veggie skewers. My absolute favorite is the roasted pineapple. It wasn't keto approved and I didn't care one bit. The sweet tang of fruit with the succulent sweetness of the caramelized cinnamon and sugar was outstanding. My favorite was the lamb. I have never had lamb before. The flavor was absolutely delicious and so moist. I love seasoning and especially sauces. I didn't feel that the meat needed any enhancements. I had the best waiter with Carl C. He was polite and professional. Even hunted down some shrimp for us and engaged in polite conversation with drink selection. He suggested that I order the Caipirinha. It is a muddled lime beverage in several flavors such a regular, strawberry, mango and passionfruit. I got the mango and it didn't disappoint. It was absolutely delicious and parried nicely with my meal. He constantly checked in to see if we needed anything and I was very appreciative of his attention and focus. The food was just kind of sad all around. The salad bar looked great from afar, but really had nothing exciting to offer. The star of the show- the meats- all tasted alike. The lamb chops were not good. The salmon was very fishy tasting. The best thing I ate all night were the little cheesy breads that were served just as we sat down.
