The venue The restaurant was clean! There was ample parking around it. The service The service was great! The staff was kind and accommodating. The food After visiting other Brazilian steakhouses, I was disappointed by their limited selection of meat cuts. That in itself is not bad; however, if you are charging more than Fogo de Chao, you might as well serve me as much meat as they do.

I happened to try this restaurant during Restaurant Week but chose to do the full experience since it was my first time trying. It wasn't my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse so I knew what to expect. When I walked in, I was a bit shocked on how small it was inside. Not the place you should go if you are cautious with COVID. I wore a mask when I wasn't eating but was a bit paranoid lol. So with the full experience, there's a buffet and an assortment of meat you can try. The meat is brought out frequently and sliced at your table. I'm not sure if it was because of restaurant week but our service was okay. I had to ask three different people for water but they were nice. I don't eat beef so I cannot personally speak on it but my bf loved the garlic steak. I tried bacon wrapped chicken, chicken wings, sausages, fried bananas (looks like mozzarella stick), pineapple with cinnamon sugar, Parmesan bread, Alfredo, crème brûlée and green beans. I didn't feel there were enough side options that looked appetizing to me so one of the personal downsides. What I loved was the bread, pineapple, and sausage. The pineapple is warm with cinnamon sugar on the sides. It's was SOOOO good! The bread was hallow in the middle and the perfect crunch out the outside. Overall, it was an okay experience but I don't plan on returning.

Amazing food, the sangria was on point. Really cool ambiance and the service was polite and attentive . It's about 54$ per person but it's so worth it for a fancy date

Service was okay! Not much variety for someone who doesn't eat much meat. No seafood variety.

My service and quality of food have not been great both times. I've noticed they're extremely friendly with greeting guests in and out. However, I've never experienced that. Much like the first experience my food (specifically wings) came out over cooked. Joseph the bar tender was awesome enough to observe that and immediately acknowledged more would be coming out. The kitchen sent out 3 wings to replace the entirety burnt first batch. I sent the remainder of the first batch back, and sadly had to wait for it to be a to go order. As I was leaving, someone who appeared to be in management sure enough, greeted the women in front of me, but stared at me as I walked out. I awkwardly said to him "have a great day" with the same enthusiasm he said to the women in front me. I work nearby and this place is close to my office. Was excited because it's right across the street from my go to car wash. Sadly won't return. Lastly for what it's worth, it takes a lot for me to right a review like this, especially for a local shop that's right in my community.

The wings were AMAZING, and the sliders were absolutely delicious! They were so good that I devoured them before I even thought to take a picture! Unfortunately, the pierogies were the one disappointment, especially since they were actually the main reason I decided to order from here. They were a bit too greasy for my taste. After eating two, I ended up placing the rest on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil, which unfortunately made them less enjoyable. That being said, I would definitely eat at The Degenerate again. I'd happily order the wings and sliders again, but I would probably skip the pierogies next time unless they're one of those dishes that are simply better enjoyed fresh at the restaurant rather than as takeout. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses, and those sliders and wings alone are worth another visit!

We had a reservation for a Monday dinner on my husband's birthday, which happened to also be 1/2 priced wine day (glasses or bottles up to $40). Maybe it was because of the affordable wine or the World Cup on TV, but the place was surprisingly bumpin'. We came with our toddler, and the staff were super friendly with her. She really enjoyed snacking on the complimentary crackers and cheese spread. My husband and I decided to share the dinner special for 2, which is a 10 oz filet mignon, 2 lobster tails, and 4 sides for $178. A delicious splurge! For our sides, we chose a Caesar salad, cheesy fried potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, and balsamic brussels sprouts. The steak was so tender and savory. Absolutely loved it. Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in the city! After our meal, our server brought a complimentary dessert, a layered mousse cake, served in a martini cake with a candle to celebrate my husband's birthday. Such a nice surprise, and the perfect end to a special family meal. Here's to 70+ more years of BnB in CLT!

The homemade cheese and crackers they bring out to start your meal may sound simple, but it sets a wonderfully unique tone for the rest of your night. The steaks are always cooked to absolute perfection. The filet medallions are easily my favorite because they come served with three different, delicious toppings. Plus, the steaks come topped with an onion ring, which is such a fun extra treat! For sides, the onion rings, balsamic Brussels sprouts, and the fried cheesy potatoes are true standouts. Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.
