Came here during my lunch time. I order the Large Bowl Combo - (Bowl, 6 wings, & drink) $20.49 4/5 stars. I choose Salad Pork Bowl with Korean BBQ Flavor bone in wings. The restaurant is on 1960 (by Willowbrook Mall area) and it looks kinda run down. But the food was good. I called to place my order and went through the drive thru for pick up. A quick and yummy lunch meals. Everything was flavorful.

I have driven by here so many times, finally decided to stop by and try it out. You walk in and orde at the counter. The restaurant itself was pretty small and they did have a lot of take out and delivery orders. The staff is nice but we did wait a while for our food. Once it arrived we did enjoy the sauce flavors and the meal overall. They do have a nice Korean flavor in their sauces but we did think that in comparison to other Korean fried chicken places the breading is not as light and airy.

So, I decided to give their bowls a try. When I walked in, no one looked up or greeted me -- I actually had to say something first. The cashier was nice, though, so points for that. But they really need to work on their customer service. Then there was the overwhelming smell of Fabuloso. It was so strong it almost made me walk right back out! I want to smell food cooking, not cleaning products -- that was a little suspect. I went ahead and ordered the combo: a large steak bowl with noodles and six wings for $22. My heart dropped when she said $27 -- like, how?! Turns out they charge $3 extra for noodles, and I regret it because they were super mushy. Should've stuck with the rice. The steak was tasty -- a little salty but flavorful. They barely give any cabbage, the kimchi portion was tiny, and it was loaded with onions. The wings were okay -- small and not enough BBQ sauce. And to top it off, the Sprite had a funky taste, like maybe the filter needs to be cleaned.

While the food was great, the customer service lacked. Seemed as if they didn't want to be there on a Sunday or at all. I kept explaining it's our first time dining here and she could care less. ‍ Customer Service Food ! Restaurant vibes were cute, clean bathrooms so I appreciated that. I ordered the steak bowl with noodles, while my husband had the pork with fried rice!! We switched back and forth sharing bowls. Food was great, although with the steak bowl, the noodles were waaay over sauced and made it hard to finish. It was too sweet for my liking. The sauce overpowered the dish.

Chimac is a nice quick restaurant that gives you a switch up from the more common options around it while also still serving up familiar favorites. If you are in the Northwest area of Houston it is definitely worth a try. I first tried Chimac back in 2019 and of the items ordered one of them was a solid hit steak bowl while the other was a complete miss chicken bowl. The bowls then were plainer and didn't come with as many items. Since then any time I've gone I've been very happy with the food I received. I by no means am an expert or even heavily versed in Korean BBQ but for the fast food/fast casual food they put out I enjoy it. The main draw of Chimac is their KBBQ bowls and most times I go there that is exactly what I get. They also offer other times such as chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, fried fish and shrimp and Philly cheese steak subs. Even though all these options are offered 90% of the time I'm probably getting either the Spicy KBBQ Chicken Bowl or the Korean Jerk Chicken Bowl. They also offer steak, shrimp and pork options for the bowls. The bowls can be served over either white rice, fried rice, noodles or salad. It gets topped with cabbage, grilled onions and kimchi. I'm pretty sure every time I've eaten from here I've had it over fried rice and recommend you do too. The wings aren't a stand out compared to other items they offer but they do have some cool flavors and they are good. I haven't tried their tenders or seafood but I have had the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Philly Cheese Steak Sub. I've had the sandwich twice and the first time I had it, it was banging. I don't usually be eat tomatoes on my burgers or sandwiches but it had a green tomatoe that with the fried chicken was just fire. Now I will say the second time I had it, it was only okay so I'll need to try it a third time to see which is more typical. I only recently had the sub and it was really good. It may not stand up to a place that specializes in Phillys but for a Korean BBQ place it over delivered on what I expected. The fries are also good here. I'm pretty sure they're just frozen fries but they have a nice golden crisp on them and are much better than the frozen fries I feel like most similar places serve. I haven't tried it here but they also offer kimchi fries. This is one of those places that you might look at the menu and think they offer a lot of options but they seem to do a good job of making sure what they offer is good.

The wings were good! I got the large jerk chicken with noodles bowl and honestly I didn't taste any jerk chicken. It was just grilled chicken. The noodles were tasty, greasy, but very tasty LOL. The fried rice was good too! The service was great! Our cashier answered and patiently waited for us to order. We waited for about 15-20 minutes for our order. We will definitely be back!!

Came back several times to see if the quality is as inconsistent as it seems. And yes it is. I've come to the conclusion that whoever their cook is on the weekends, is great. Weekends are when wings are cooked properly and fried until crispy. Their cook on weekdays does not fry the wings properly. It is always soggy and flavorless. Hence, my 3 star review. read more

This rating is based on the wings and french fries. The wings are amazing! By far the best wings I have had, I've tried wings from all these restaurants such as buffalo wild wings, wing stop, pluckers, hooters...I've tried wings from a couple places is my point, and these have all of them beat. I tried this place over a year ago when I lived in Jersey village and I have since moved further away from there, but I still make the drive because of how consistent the flavor on the wings and fries are. For my kids I buy the honey garlic because they're still toddlers and can't handle the heat(still really good btw). I personally like the spicy Korean BBQ,Cajun,honey cajun, Houstonatlanta(if you like BBQ), and lemon pepper. I've yet to try about 2 flavors but so far they're all great. The French fries are amazing as well, can't really describe them but the flavor is amazing. I've ate good food at nice restaurants before such as season 52, Texas de Brazil, Xochi, and the capital grille. I've ate sucky food like MRE's.(meal ready to eat , this stuff will not expire for decades) these wings are pretty epic, will definitely continue coming here even if I move further away. Initially I was gonna give 1* bc they f'd up my order so damn bad. I got two bowls w wings and they totally forgot my wings. Like left them out completely then sent a text telling me that I could get a coupon and they would take care of me on my next order I had asked if they could just bring my wings but I was told that they were understaffed. That would've been acceptable had I not spent $50 on food. I was livid. I wanted my whole order TF? About 25-30min later the chef personally delivered my wings. Everything was bomb asfffffff the wings were smackin, the rice and veggies included in the bowls were good as hell. The grilled chicken is amazing. Idk what they're seasoning the chicken w but my god they're going the damn thing! After eating my food I was sad that I didn't opt in to get the coupon next time I fw Chimac I'm gonna pick up my food and check my order before I dip out but I'll be back for sure! This place is one of the best Asian-fusion places I've been to! I tried the wing and bowl combo + the kimchi fries. The kimchi fries were so tasty and I loved the dressing it comes with! The only complaint I really have is that the bowls come with a huge amount of carbs and not much protein. If you check the photos, the meat is shredded and it looks like more than it is because basically under 1 layer of meat it's a whole bunch of rice/noodles. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. This place is FIRE! I had the half and half spicy chicken/steak bowl with noodles. My boyfriend had a combo (6 wings and a half and half bowl with chicken/shrimp). The food was so good we were sad to have to fly back home to Cali before we could have another meal here. There were quite a few great wing flavor options. We absolutely loved the sweet lemongrass chili flavor. They only have one location for now. I'm hopeful they expand soon. After reading so many positive reviews about this spot, I had to check it out. I drove 35 minutes to get there, went through the drive thru and was pleasantly greeted. The young lady was wearing her face mask, gloves and ready to take my order. I had lots of questions and she answered all of my questions in a professional yet caring manner. I will say they do charge a lot for fried noodles but it was worth it was worth it and fried rice. This place is the bomb.com. My family has quickly made this our go to place. We've been here well over 15 times and we still haven't had any issues with the food or service. The wings, the Korean BBQ, the sandwiches ...all of it is delicious ! Established in 2019.

Our journey for a home started in Chattanooga, Tennessee where we honed our Wings recipe and trained for a larger city with a more developed flavor profile. We then merged the original NYC Chinatown/Koreatown flavor profile with our experiences cooking in the gritty kitchens of New Orleans. Our KBBQ teachings were structured in Seattle, where Teriyaki plates rule the speedy menu streets of gorgeous evergreen Seattle. Houston is a beautiful city to showcase our mix of different flavor profiles for vastly diverse cultures living in unity. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

I actually run this restaurant and Yelp keeps deleting reviews for some reason. Anyway I would like to give my staff 5 stars for making a great team and suggesting/executing great ideas to serve our wonderful customers. The restaurant industry is one of the toughest industries and I am blessed to be working with great people and serving an amazing community who are open to new cuisines. We at Chimac keep a strong Asian foundation, but also celebrate different cultural cuisines and enjoy the creative R&D process to bring out new flavors and getting customer feedback. On any given day we like to receive the community's input on our sample (potential) menu items and our staff takes pride in the work we tirelessly put out to keep our lovely customers happy. Let me just start off by saying this place is amazing in every detail. The creativity level is mind blowing, from the food, lobby to the bathrooms. You get a mini art gallery type of vibe in the hallways of the bathrooms. Food is well prepared and honestly worth the wait. I ordered the burger and french fries. From the bite it was very flavorful, juicy and tender like a burger should be. The french fries was cooked perfectly and very delicious. Very large portion of chicken tenders. Seriously share it. Burger was seasoned well OMG!!! The best grilled chicken in world are made here!!! I've had there KBBQ spicy chicken and philly and they are both delicious. Good wings and fries. Went with the wife and both of us enjoyed our meal. I'm Korean American and there are not too many places up here near Cypress where I can get some Korean American food. Although this place doesn't seem to be run by Koreans (or at least, there are no Koreans on staff), their service and friendliness is fantastic and the food is good. Happy to go there anytime I have a craving for some Korean food and don't have time to go down to K-town in Houston or Katy. read more

I've come to visit Houston to visit my cousin and he took me here for authentic Korean style fast food. The steak bowl was a amazing bulgogi flavor and the chicken bowls were similar to the Korean owned teriyaki chicken restaurants in Seattle.
